In a attempt to keep her from telling others and running the mans reputation, (Seeing as he was the leader of the village) He attempted to kill her. Rose escaped, finding a friend in Domi, the owner of The Bar, and she herself, became a co owner. Her powers are, that she can run really fast, and has a vase knowledge when it comes to herbs.
