Okay, so for those of us who like Negima, who read and who watched?
If both, then which would you recomend to someone whos never seen it?

I watched it, and wanna read it soon ^^

I've seen: the first Negima, Negima!?, both the Haru and Natsu OVAs, and a few episodes of Ala Alba and Mou Hitotsu no Sekai.
I've also read up to the current chapter and just started on the Negima!? manga recently.

So whats the diffrence bettween Negima, Negima?!, and Negima! ?
And what that last anime you mentioned?

I think I started reading Negim first, then saw Negima! anime, Negima!?, and finally reading Negima!? Neo. Both mangas are waaayyyyy better than the animes.

The first anime stayed pretty close the original manga with a few added touches that weren't too bad until they got up to the manga's Kyoto arc. It was really disappointing that they cut out Kotaro and Setsuna's half bird tribe heritage, but that I wasn't so bad as Asuna's totally bogus backstory. To have her die because of a pact with a demon then having to go back in time to save her was pretty lame. For one thing, if the demon was so powerful to give her anti-magic capabilities, why didn't he have them himself?! The other thing that bothered me was the dull colors used. Best thing about the anime was the theme song.

Personally, I despised Negima!? because of all the weirdness. Really hated Motsu (was that his name), the secret of the baron, and Asuna's obession with ugly Chupacabara. While the animation was cleaner, they really messed with some of the characters' hair colors, like Sakuraku (for that matter it was annoying that they made the cheerleaders into one entity). Oh, and Takamichi looked old, real old, and the ramen obession was lame and he didn't have Kankaho.

Negima!? Neo is a great lighthearted alternate universe that combined the few good points of Negima!? anime with elements from the original manga. The three tiered pactio system and the early introduction of Anya were the best things Neo kept, plus they include Kotaro and add some of the lesser traits of minor 3-A characters (like Mana saving a puppy and Kakizaki not liking carbonated drinks). Asuan's Neo pactio form was the best new inclusion to the Negima story.

Negima original, can't say anything bad. Totally surprises me every time, very funny. The cast of characters has extended well beyond 3-A now.

I've read and watched, but I think the anime was cruddy compared to the manga.
