Sitting slightly tensely on a stool placed behind the counter in the Xanthian Internal Affairs shop, Oddy intently stared from a small black wooden jewelry box-type thing, to the door, awaiting someone, apparently. She almost looked as though when they made it through the door she'd pounce on them head first. Oddy knew better, though. That would just give Humfrey two too much of a chance to scoff and roll his eyes at her.
"You're going to give that poor child brain damage from flicking that box opened and closed so lazily." Humfrey yelled at her, apparent disdain plainly showing within every word that he uttered. "Oh shush, he'll be fine!" Oddy called over her shoulder, taking more care each time that she opened it to look at the small crow-looking pendant within the box that was resting atop the certificate that she made out for each of the items that would come to pass.
This was the first item. The first one that ever passed from Xanth as an item clutched tightly within her hand. The one that made the way for all other items to come! She knew he was going to a good home... If he'd only make his way here...

He stopped for a moment in front of the door before opening it, beside him stood a boy about the age of a toddler. Pales glanced down at Armel with a furrowed brow and then said, "I want you to be nice to these people."
Armel's response was a silent eyebrow raise. He was talkative but the situation didn't quite command it right now, but the ram-horned boy did nod.
"I know you will behave," After all Armel rarely acted out, and Pales just hoped this wouldn't be one of those rare instances where Armel did act out. Then the door was opened and in stepped a tall man beside a small elven looking boy with ram-horns and naturally narrowed and somewhat glaring gaze.

Oddy grinned and jumped up off of the stool, her eyes flicking from the boy to the man, and back to the boy. Suddenly she was wracked with unsurity as to who exactly was supposed to get the item. She stopped dead in her tracks and held the small wooden box clutched between her hands, "Mister Pales?" She asked, flicking her eyes between the boy and the man, awaiting a response.
"It's the man, Oddy, the man! We wouldn't be giving a baby to a child!" Humfrey said in a most annoyed way, waddling up behind her, looking at the man in the slight scowl that he always reguarded everyone with. Oddy's face flushed bright red.
"Well, sorry," Oddy said, flicking her eyes over to Humfrey, her words dramatisized with the attitude and slight amount of disdain that they mutually harbored for one another.

Pales blinked and then laughed a bit, "I'd be a little confused, too I am sure. I don't usually mention that I am bringing my son. It is sort of a reflex when he comes. I don't trust my mentor to take care of him." He explained trying to ease Oddy's embarrassment a little.
Armel just tilted his head at the interaction between the two before speaking up, "Aye, y'are a worrywart, Da. That is all there is to it. S'not like he'd teach me t'set fire to the house." The ram-horned boy spoke with a casual air.
Cringing he glanced down at the Tale and tried to push that image out of his mind. He wouldn't put it past Albion to teach Armel something so destructive.

Oddy grinned slightly and stuck her tongue out at Humfrey, wiggling slightly to display her blatent disreguard and uncontrollable happy that Humfrey thought was pointless and ignorant. "Lookie Mister Pales," She said, walking up to him with the box held between both of her hands, one supporting the buttom, and one holding the small copper colored clasp up to easily open it.
When she made it right in front of him, she bounced slightly as she rocked from heel to toe, opening it wide to show the small crow-shaped marbled pendant. "See! It's him. What will you name him? I think you told me once..." She looked through him with a blank expression, trying desperately to remember the name that she was almost certain she had been informed of in the past.
"For the life of me I can't remember.." She looked downcast, almost asking him once again what the name was, but not quite.

Pales humored Oddy for the most part, looking, but truth was he was curious and interested to see it himself. It was as beautiful as he imagined it would be he then leaned back a bit looking at the ceiling he had a name a moment ago, "Uhhmm..I believe the name was Albrecht."
The name seemed suitable. At least to him it did. To anyone else it would probably seem silly, as is the case on most days.
Armel just watched the interaction quietly his brow furrowed, and to the boy it just seemed like a case of the blind leading the blind for the most part.
"Almost forgot the name myself. Ha." Pales chuckled a bit and shrugged. Whether it was sincere or an act to make Oddy feel better again was hard to see.

Oddy proudly sauntered back behind the counter and settled it down atop the certificate once again. Settling in atop the stool again, she reguarded the small boy again. "Do you want a cookie? Or a candy?" She settled a small cookie jar next to a small cup of lollies. "They're my personal stash!" She giggled as Humfrey apparently kept himself busy to prevent any more slightly pointed comments about Oddy's apparent idiocy.
Turning back to the man, she motioned to the certificate, and handed him the journal with her other hand. "That's where you write the exploits of you and your new son! And that's a very pretty name." Smiling, she thought that she was sly, talking about his new son, instead of actually saying the name that she had a feeling she'd trip over herself trying to say.
"Would you like to keep the box? Or do you have some sort of other way of carrying him? It's strictly up to you."
She gazed at the little boy once again, holding her hands atop the candy and cookie jars.

Pales smiled as he accepted the items handed with a small nod, "Thank you Miss Aeronall. Muchly appreciated." He glanced down at Armel for a moment waiting to see what the boy would do.
Armel seemed to consider being standoffish toward the woman as she offered the candy to him but thinking better of it he reached up and plucked up a lolli for himself murmuring a quiet thank you. A small smile graced the usually grumpy expression on his face causing him to look a little more relaxed.
Assured that Armel wasn't going to be rude, Pales seemed to visibly relax before responding to the question put to him, "I will take the box if it isn't needed otherwise. It is a very lovely (and shiny) box." He had murmured the shiny part under his breath.

Smiling brightly, the blonde nodded to the boy, once again securing the cookies and candies beneath the counter of the store. "Hmm.. Now that all is taken care of, are there any questions you may care to ask me?" Smiling, she handed over the box with the pendant on it, it's high gloss surface reflecting the image of the ceiling in a slightly curved, distorted sort of way.
"Here's the certificate," She said, still keeping that everlasting grin upon her face, handing it over to him with her currently still free hand.

Pales carefully jostled the book open and it just so happened to only open the cover, "Be so kind as to put it in there, please?" He wasn't protesting that his hands were now full with all that they could carry.
Armel smiled a bit as he unwrapped the lolli and promptly stuck it in his mouth.
"Otherwise, no I don't have any questions." He finished after glancing at Armel having caught some of the boy's movements.

Slipping the paper into the front cover, she nodded, "Well, that's good to hear! That means that I explained things well enough previously!" She grinned at the little boy, thinking he was somehow adorable in his difference from the children that she had previously seen. Waving her hand, she simply stated, "Until next time, Mister Pales! Have a safe trip, and I will call you when we are ready to give your little boy the antidote!"

He bowed at Oddy and closed the journal before he turned and wandered toward the door with Armel following. Though before slipping out Pales turned and waved at Odyssey before opening the door to let himself and Armel out.
Armel did also turn but instead of waving he simply gave a curt nod, which was so very grown up it seemed comical and ... cute. Though it would probably be best to not say such things to him personally.
