I won a poetry contest with this particular composition and may have it published. Before I accomplish such, I would like a few opinions...
Past A Curtain Original work by Sarah Soliman Everything seems to have its limit, Everyone their preferences. The moon shrinks, bit by bit. The sun sets and rises.
The sky inhales with pink, the sea exhales with navy. Water drains in the sink, Hair is straight, curly, or wavy.
Perpetually, everything cycles, wheels turn on cars, planes, bicycles. All things existent reiterate at some point, all people have their talents.
There is only a certain extent everyone can stretch for. Only a bit everything can surpass, even myths, legends, folklore.
But, one may be saying - there are those who progress, push on, achieve. These, possibly, are those that press boundaries, those that believe.
Believe that there is the unknown, still not yet uncovered. Admire those that do so, discovering what we have not.
We have not yet even skimmed the periphery, the margin of this world. We have not yet shone light upon its mysterious unknown, not yet seen or felt anything.
The writers, the mathematicians, the scientists, and others that break through - They speak with their souls, roaring through the dank, shadowy curtain obscuring our vision. Somehow they manage an ephemeral glimpse of the adventure beyond, before they are wrenched back in, and glance at what we all know not.
