A large hall overlooks a huge set of double doors. Students mingle around the hall, looking nervous about the ceremony about to take place. Whispers float around, something about renaming, another about the headmaster, others about the other professors. The ceremony still has a few minutes before beginning, and the freshman are all nervous.

Lily stood off to one corner, looking quietly around at the other freshmen, as if gauging them. After a moment, she moved over to another freshman, Violet, and began speaking. "Nervous?" She asked, cocking her head to one side. "I hear we're supposed to be renamed once we come to the academy. What do you think yours will be?"

Not so, Raven. *Aurora said as she swept into the room. As always, she carried a thick book, this one entitled "The History of the L'ramie Clan" written by none other than the Headmaster himself.* It's different every year. You just have to look at each year like a new adventure. *She sat in her chair to Raven's right, opening the book to her bookmark and scanned the page. After a moment, she sighed and closed the book.* I'm too excited to read. I can't wait to see the students I will have this year. *She looked over at Raven again.* Aren't you even a little excited?

Alexander walked in silently, his senior year finally. The room was loud as it always had been in the pass years, full with the new vampires. He sighed and moved to a place in the back of the room, his silver eyes skimming over each face taking note of each one. He then proceeded to fold his arms across his chest and lean against one of the walls staring up at where the teachers were. Another year... what will it bring this year? he thought openly, knowing someone would most likely hear it. But other than that he seemed to keep to himself as he awaited the start of the ceremony.

Violet looked over, startled that someone was speaking to her.
"uhm...no...kinda..yes" she finished sounding like a total moron. So at an attempt to cover it up she quickly sais, "No idea, how about you?"

Katya nodded at Alexander, taking a long sip of her drink, running her finger around the dull edge for a moment. Licking her lips, she asked quietly, glancing over with affection, “Have you ever drank these? I know most people don’t drink these – their teeth and all – but these things are packed with sugar and caffeine and all sorts of awesome nasty stuff. Everyone says it's disgraceful, but who cares?”

Raven scanned the room again impaitiently, When is thing supposed to start? She muttered to herself. She shifted into her raven form and flew up to the rafters to get a better view of the children. An odd smell came to her nose, What on earth? She thought blankly, she then flew down to where Katya and Alexander where sitting, And what is that? She asked perching on the table they were sitting at. She gazed at them with her coal black eyes, waiting for their answer.

Xohasij Bloodwing, headmaster of V.A., watched from the shadows. The ceremony would begin soon. Then, and only then, would he make his presence known. Until then... He watched. And waited. And spoke to the teachers in private. >Staff,< He called out to all of the teachers via his mental projection ability, >Please be seated in your assigned seats. The ceremony is about to begin.< He severed the link, then turned to watch the students again.

So many vampires in one place... he sighed quietly to himself, old memories of his clan coming back to haunt him. After a moment, he shook the thoughts out of his head, his long black hair flowing. Now was neither the time, nor the place. This was a time of anticipation. And so he watched and waited for the staff to be seated.
