 School isn't the most important thing. Ever walked around a school and spoted the out casts? How about the students who want to be involved but doubt they ever could be? Now what about those students who look at some of the popular kids with distate? A rivaly in fact? Well that's where it all begins. The lead singer and lead guitar player of _____________ (yet to be named band) puts his band before his schooling. It shows through his group projects and when he focus' more on his music then the school. English class had just started and surely enough another group project was on it's way...well a partner project....

The teacher began listing off the names. One by one people were paired off. It wasn't a project they could choose their own partners. Not this time.
"Rin and Engi.
Jay and Nina
Vincent and Setsuna"
....etc
The teacher continued to list off names then told everyone to move next to each other and start working on their project.
Vincent stayed sitting totally oblivious to what was going on. He wouldn't have even know that he was supposed to move if Jay hadn't tapped his shoulder and whispered in his ear. With that Vincent stood up and looked around to spot Setsuna. The two people who wouldn't get along with each other. Not yet anyway. They had had their problems since class had started. From the very moment they set eyes on each other. For some reason they just didn't get along.

Setsuna grumbled as soon as he heard his name heard with Vincent's, why couldn't he have a different partner? One who was nicer or hot even?? He looked over at Vincent as he sat next to him. "Look, I may be the smart one but you're not gonna make me do all the work." he said sternly, making sure Vincent understood him.
Engi smiled widely as he heard that he was paired with Rin, for some reason he couldn't help but to just squeal at the mere mention of his name. Usually he was the perverted type who would sleep with just about anyone, men or women, but he always had a special liking toward Rin. Engi happily leapt over to Rin and sat next to him, nearly bouncing off his seat. "Hiya partner!" he said cheerfully.

Vincent's eyes glanced over at Setsuna "Am I stupid if I already started on the project when we got the sheet yesterday?" It was a simple question and his eye contact had already parted ways before his words finished. It was true Vincent wasn't stupid he just had better things to do. For some reason this project lured him in to do a good job. Maybe it was the large grade behind it or the feeling he had gotten the day before when they first had gotten the flyer.
Rin stayed still as he looked over at Engi. He had stayed up the night before finishing a project that was due before english so he stretched and let out a yawn. "So, excited about the project or your partner?" He looked over at the other male joking around

Setsuna gave a soft sigh. "I could say yes, but I would be lying. As much as it would please me to tell you how stupid you are." he said with a small chuckle. "May I see your results? We have to write our answer on the board and explain it to the class." he said softly.
Engi grinned and gave a thoughtful expression. "mmmm.....Mostly the partner!" he said happily, bouncing his knee up and down rapidly in his chair, he really needed a smoke right now, he never had enough time between classes to smoke so he usually didn't. "So where do we begin?" he asked curiously.

Vincent pulled out a bunch of paper work and handed it off to Setsuna "There." He hadn't even really looked at the other male when handing off his work. But it was obvious he had put some work in it and what was surprising was the answer was indeed correct. Wait what? The slacker can get something correct other then a chord on his guitar?
Rin laughed lightly "Aw come on. I know we should have ditched today and practiced instead. Why the heck was it Vincent who insisted we come today." Rin wasn't one to usually want to ditch class but now and then he'd get in one of those moods to practice straight through.

Setsuna looked down at the small pile of papers. "Would it kill you to be a little more organized? Some of these papers have small coffee stains on them for crying out loud." he grumbled, gathering the papers and reading through them. "pff, big deal, so you get one assignment right." He grumbled, putting the papers back onto the table, intending to turn it in as he put his own name on the papers, it was a group project after all, whatever answer Vincent gave was his answer as well.
Engi giggled a bit. "Yeah I kind of wanted to ditch too, ice cream sounds better than this. I think Vincent needs to get laid or something, he's been acting kind of grumpy lately." he said, looking back at Vincent and then back to Rin. "I could set him up with one of my boy toys if he wants, or a girl, whichever he prefers but something tells me that would only make him angry." he said with a small chuckle.

Vincent laughed rather amused at the coffee drink remark "You realize it isn't mean you should be bitching at. I don't drink coffee if you haven't noticed." He pointed over toward the hyper Engi "He spilit Rin's coffee on it yesterday after practice so go b***h him out." He had glanced at Setsuna enough to say that then looked down at his own notebook and started drawing something. He was glad he had gotten the work done yesterday.
Rin nodded "I agree...he hasn't even had any stranger over like he usually has. I wonder what's been going on with him?" He watched Vincent point in their direction then looked away quickly "What do you think that was about?"

Setsuna shook his head. "He's no fun to b***h at, I'd much rather b***h at a stuck up jerk like you." he said, sounding rather bored with the man though. "By the way, hows screwing random strangers each night going? Get an STD yet?" he asked with a small victorious grin.
Engi looked back at Vincent after he pointed and shrugged. "I don't know. Can't be too important though. Did you get the lab done yesterday? I helped Vincent with his and I've finished mine." he said, taking out a small bundle of papers that were stapled together and handing it to Rin.

Vincent decided to play along with Setsuna's words "Nope no STDs. Can't get any if I aint having sex." The weird part was it's true. He hadn't brought home anyone in awhile but for some reason no one could put a finger on it. Everyone had their thoughts that he was a player and enjoy a night with random people but in fact the only people who had the truth were the band members.
"Oh neh, I decided to help Vincent with his math instead. Damn fool wrote our new song instead of doing that. If it weren't for us he wouldn't even be here. You know the only reason he's coming to college is to keep us in the band or something like that. It's hard to tell what's going on in his head anymore."

Setsuna sighed softly. "For christ's sake, why don't you just tell Engi how you feel about the boy. You can't get anything past me, I've seen the way you look at Engi." he said sternly, looking over at Vincent with a somewhat decent expression.
Engi shrugged. "I don't know.....ever since he started acting grumpy he's stopped talking to us about what's going on in his life. Kind of makes me feel left out." he said softly, a small sad smile appearing. "But I guess I shouldn't be too worried about him, he can handle more than himself, after all."

Vincent's gaze locked on Setsuna "No you have it wrong. Besides you should stay out of things that don't concern you. You hate me either way." His deep blue eyes locked onto Setsuna's for a moment "You know I bet you could play real well. You have the look for it." He smiled at this then moved his attention back to the music he was working on. He knew his comment would piss Setsuna off he just wondered how much.
Rin nodded "Maybe we should set him up with someone or something. It might lighten him up...geeze how long has he been like this....hmmm" He thought back trying to recall when the last time Vincent had actually had a good time "s**t you know what, he has been like this ever since Setsuna and him went at it a couple weeks ago. What was it....I think Setsuna had trashed talked our band...wait.." Rin looked up and locked his gaze on Engi "Do you think that's still upseting him?" Rin knew very well what was going on but he kinda had to guess on this one. Him and Vincent were pretty close but he still.

Setsuna's cheeks flared up in a blush at the man's comment. "I play very well and you ******** know it. You're a real p***k sometimes, and you can't hide anything from me. Besides I heard what you said in your sleep a few nights ago." he said with a small smirk, turning his eyes away from Vincent.
Engi remembered the argument about the band, Setsuna went pretty hard on Vincent, as if calling him a juvenile wasn't enough, he had to go so far as to call him a degenerate mama's boy who was screwed by hsi father one too many times. The last part wasn't true, but being a mama's boy may have, after all his mother died when Vincent was small.
((Hope you don't mind me throwing some stuff in there about Vincent, you can do the same about my characters but I find it fun this way, making up each other's past. lol))

Vincent ignored his comment knowing it was just to get to him. It was true though. The last person Vincent had brought home was Setsuna. They had gotten so drunk one night that they ended up blacking out. That was the main reason Setsuna even knew Vincent was into guys. Vincent was usually pretty good at hiding it but wasted wasn't a way too. It was a night to remember but unforturnetly the waking up hadn't been. That was awkward.
Rin sat there writing down somethings for the project they were working on. It was hard to concentrate though. He indeed wondered why Vincent had been acting so weird. The kid had a hard past but still....
((By the way. I am not necisarily saying they went all the way or anything ^.^
but ummm Setsuna isn't in the band yet right? *confused*))
