Hey,
Ok guys Novembers National diabetes awarness month we should do something really big this year. I noticed gaia's done things for cancer month(which was April) I know this is months away but still if we get everyone we can to help us we can spread awarness for diabetes most people dont even know what it is and how it effects our lives dailey. We really need to do something so we can show awarness. I mean whos better too show awarness for diabetes then us diabetics? Come on guys lets come up with something great. If we all work together Im sure we can come up with something.[: comment this if you get an idea on what we can do or private message me

I really like this idea...November 12th is actual diabetes day. It is the second disease, after cancer, to have a day dedicated to it. There is probably some type of process that has to be gone through and such, but planning early is a good idea! I am willing to help in any way with this if it takes off. I would assume that there needs to be some sort of petition that is signed by so many Gaians, and also have to have a lot of information gathered so that they can present it during the month.
Just some ideas though...keep me updated on any progress!!

I am all for this, but I don't know how much work it will really be to make this a reality. I believe that Hatake-Azami is correct in that we need to find lots of facts, trivia if you, about diabetes and more "stuff". I don't know much myself, only having been diagonsed about 3 years ago, but I can sure try to help anyway I can. 3nodding

Well, I would guess before anything starts, it would have to go through the main gaia people. We would probably have to submit some sort of letter of intent, and ask them how we could get something like this approved by them. If they give us certain things that must be done then we work from there...
