my best friend now likes Muse. i shall write a story explaining this.
The bus ride was half an hour long, it was hot, and it was boring. Once again, Zeta was desperately attempting to get my best friend into Muse by forcing her to listen to songs, with which she was growing quickly tired of.
'What do you think? Hm?" I asked eagerly, hoping that a live recording of Supermassive Black Hole would spark interest.
'Eh. Like the other version. Just okay.'
My disgust was obvious. 'Fine.' My friend was a fan of...HIM. Not the band H.I.M. HIM. Beaver, Beiber...either way, he was horrible. She needed good music in her brain.
I scrolled through my Muse songs, landing on I Belong To You. It was good. It wasn't generic, but it was one of Muse's gentler songs. Plus...it had FRENCH. I tried it.
The look on my friend's face was one of utter disbelief. 'You heard the remix of this on the new moon soundtrack, didn't you?' I accused, taking on a position a first rate cop would be proud of.
She nodded.
'And I assume you never bothered looking on the back to see it was Muse?'
She shook her head no.
'this is one of your favorite songs isn't it?'
No reply.
'I know you Bri. You love it. Don't lie to me either, I can read you like a children's book.'
Brianna bit her lip nervously. 'Fine, don't tell anyone! And I liked the other songs you've shown me too...except for Uprising, that one was horrible.'
Taking in a breath, I bit back a retort so I wouldn't push it.
"You know," I muttered slyly, 'I bet you that the remix doesn't have FRENCH.'
"WHAT?"
"Keep listening."
Matt's lovely voice wafted through the earpiece, singing in one of the most romantic languages known to man. Brianna was transfixed. Completely infatuated. Smiling, gaping, and shocked all at once.
I only had one other thing to say. "I. Win."

im very jealous of one of the few friends i have outside of here that actually likes Muse...
she got cheated out of the Philadelphia concert (her friend was supposed to take her but didnt). and is going to the Newark one in October...i want to go to that so bad...that or the New York one.
its practically a pipedream. but only PRACTICALLY.
im getting better at arguing my case...so i HOPE i can go.
prolly not though.
either way...last time i got to go by crying my eyes out on the couch for half an hour...but i wasnt trying to cry, i actually was because i was desperate, and it was only hours before the tickets went on sale..
i wont be too bummed if i cant. i hope, lol.

why?
my mom just says they 'arent her type', but i think its actually because Silversun Pickups dropped the f bomb. and they opened for Muse, therefore Muse must drop the f bomb... rolleyes

I got my best friend into Muse as well. I lent her a bunch of my CDs once, and the Muse album (I forget which one) I gave her was one of her favourites. Needless to say, I was most pleased.
I have a few friends who only like a couple of their songs, which I can live with. Don't think I know anyone who strongly dislikes them, or anything.

I "converted" one of my friends too! She likes pretty much everything though.
Come to think of it...I've converted quite a few of my friends.
