For the first week ever I thought I'd go with an interesting pair so I picked the twins Artemis and Apollo.

Apollo
Apollo is a many-talented Greek god of prophecy, music, intellectual pursuits, healing, plague, and sometimes, the sun. Writers often contrast the cerebral, beardless young Apollo with his half-brother, the hedonistic Dionysus, god of wine.
Leto (Latona) and Zeus (Jupiter) are the parents of the versatile god Apollo and his twin sister Artemis (Diana), the virgin hunter.
Apollo has many attributes, but he wasn't originally the chariot-riding sun god Helios. He was god of prophecy, healing, music, archery, light, and truth, the twin brother of Artemis (Greek) or Diana (Rome) who became associated with the moon.

Artemis
Artemis is the twin sister of Apollo. She is a goddess of transitions, a hunter, a virgin, and one of the goddesses who assists at childbirth. She was on the Trojan side in Homer's Iliad.
Artemis is the goddess of the hunt and wild animals. Although a virgin herself, Artemis helps women in childbirth. Artemis watches over streets and harbors.

Alright so the person who gives me the most interesting post will receive a prize.

Interesting note about Artemis, did you know in the old days when the Gods temple stood more actively followrs who were devoted to Artemis where sworn to be virgin to remain pure in her presence.
The hunters use to leave offering of animal horns to her as well from there hunts.

Very Interesting I knew that the horns were a big symbol of hers.

Apollo never married, but seduced many young goddesses and mortal women. In the hopes of winning her love, Apollo gave Cassandra( my sister's name wink ) the gift of prophecy. She proved an able student and, like him, learned to see the future and always told the truth. Shocked when he suddenly turned amorous, ready to be repaid for his favor, Cassandra rejected him. Angered by this, Apollo gave her another “gift” - this one a curse that even though she always told the truth no one would ever believe her.

Among his many lovers, several were males; the most famous, perhaps, being Hyacinthus, whom he accidentally killed in a game of discus. To express his sorrow, Apollo immortalized the dying youth by turning him in the beautiful flower, the hyacinth that greets us each spring.
