We can't give rewards for officers doing good. That's technically bribery, which is part of the common law series. This alters the recipent's behavior. Realy, it's making the officers work and in return, they get a gift. Yeah, don't argue, that's bribery.

Yeah, but you know the saying do what you preach or whatever? Well, that's technically illegal (bribery) and we would be better off not doing this. Then others will want stuff and people will just get upset that they didn't do anything. I know the first reward would go to me because I'm awesome but someone else might have worked way harder and didn't get anything. Plus, that's pretty much like shooting someone in the face and then telling someone else that does it is illegal. Make any sense? Yeah, it did.

Well we usually give gifts to our offcers that we made friends with, we aren't going to give a gift to a guy with tons of closed cases. Maybe thats why we have Officer of the month. confused
