Anyone play/finish/destroy it? I'm not quite finished with it... frankly I don't really like the game very much.

Alundra, I'll let you borrow mine when I'm done. It's the 360 version.
I like what I've seen and gone through so far in the game. I'm not liking the simple button-mashing of the auto-chain but it's a waste of energy to come up with your own chains after you've Libra-ed the beastie(s). I'm preferring to play this game over the Halo: Reach beta simply because I don't have to be connected to XBL to play it and I'm having minor issues getting my 360 to connect right now. All in all for now, I like it for what it is, and that's a good story.

I just passed it two nights ago...I gota say the story was alright. The ending wasn't the best but overral i think the game wasn't as bad. The fighting system was unique and liked the many combination's it had to offer.

I won't argue that the fighting system was unique and fairly intriguing. What I did dislike about it was my leader's tendancy to stand right next to my sentinel and thus taking just as many hits as s/he does therefore dying... fast. What really got on my nerves was my inability to have any say in how to survive other than a limited amount of actions and job classes that I have to pre-plan for every situation. The story I have no problems with, they're thorough in their creation of a history for their realm and their depiction of what happens through the time these people are Le'Cie is impeccable and very interesting throughout most the game. My only problems are with the combat system is self.

I have to say that for the part that I've played so far....Lightning and Fang both as Commandos is simply orgasmic xD Nothing better than aggressive girl-girl action *cough* I haven't had too much problem with characters standing next to each other, especially once you get the beasties staggered and the Commandos rip them apart with Launch followed by whatever attacks your Ravagers happen to dance them up in the air with.
It's tricky, I know, but from what I've read through interviews and such, it's supposed to be that way. It's fun, IMO! Like in XII once you've got the Gambit system down, you probably can figure out ways to rig it to be pure badass-ness? If that made any sense at all? LOL
Personally, I would've preferred to play it on PS3 just for the graphical improvement but...my 360 will have to suffice for the time being. Just for the hell of it I'm going to write a sort-of academic paper on relation to the theme song "My Hands" by Leona Lewis to the game. Maybe do a compare-contrast to the Japanese theme song? Not sure yet.

Yeah, that's the fun part about figuring out which classes fit and which you'll be needing. The thing that struck me the most is the random encounters with the monsters, Yeah you can "avoid", but sometimes i just got my butt kicked. I dunno if you guys died from time to time from fighting regular encounters?
Yeah Two Commanders and a ravager is total overkill...I ended up having Lightning, Fang, and hope. I have Fangs strength plus 2000, at one time i think she struck a 80,000 points of dmg when an enemy was staggered. O.o!
What worked for me was having:
Ravager- Commander - Ravager Commander - Commander- Ravager Sob - synergist - Sob Medic - Sentinel - Medic Those four combinations there where epic for me. Anything else was a plus.

I like having Vaniel in my party cuz I really hate the Emo-ness of Hope. For the time being I have Vaniel as my leader, Snow and Lightning, for no real other reason that they're the only ones with leveled up weapons. Since most of the time the AI is STUPID about being a medic I keep Vaniel as the leader so I can be smart about it. I've been trying to level off Alpha Behemoths in the beginning of Chapter 11 and I can't survive after it's transformation to it's more humaniod stance unless I've got a sentinel at all times. But the random movement that the characters do almost always causes Vaniel to move slowly over til she stands next to Snow...... just in time for the Behemoth to use it's Sunder attack.... killing Vaniel in 1 hit. It's maddening how often this happens. Anybody have any tips on how I could avoid it?

Fang and hope's stats where higher than Snow and Vanille. Yeah I had the same problem. They really are a pain...You can try having a syn or two buff up on protect and spells like that. Attack and keep the stagger up.

I'm on Chapter 7 where they've infiltrated Hope's house so I'm using the seemingly-infinite spawn to max out my team's current state of development.
I'm liking the Commando-Commando-Ravager combination, especially since once an enemy is staggered two people can use Launch, which is pretty sweet.

There seems to be several of these seemingly-infinite spawns through out the game.

I'm realizing that the more I play sweatdrop Seriously, I wouldn't have bothered to level my characters if Yumei hadn't mentioned her doing that. I was going to see how far I could get just blazing through the story.
