A While Ago, I had an Idea. It was an Idea for a professional sport.

You will be playing this sport. I will need 10 CHARACTERS, minimum. You can control up to 2. Thus, 6 People, at a minimum. (Can't have you having two char's on opposite teams) You can choose to play just 1, I don't mind.

The rules of the game are thus:

5 v 5
5 rounds total
Goal: Transport a Plastic, life-sized skull over dynamic terrain to the defending team's home zone, or eliminate all enemy players.
The playing field is a rectangle of land that is 1/2 a mile wide, and 2/3rds a mile long. In this case, the terrain will be semi-think forest, with plenty of hills, and some streams.
[Ex][amp][les]
Each player starts anywhere on the end line that they choose. For example, think of a football field: The team would begin on the end zone line they defend.
Elimination lasts for the round in which you were eliminated. After that, you can rejoin.
--EACH ROUND, I'll give people a chance to quit playing, and give their spot to another person, a "Team mate"
To eliminate, one player must find and immobilize another, in a manner similar to football. If you get hit squarely by a tackle, you'll almost certainly be down.
There is only ONE skull.

The main piece of the game is the Skull. Only the Offending team may carry it. It is NOT an actual skull, just a plastic model, life-sized and all. It won't break, no matter what you do to it.
There are advantages to each team, offending and defending.

Offending Team: The Timber Wolves
Game-Based Advantages:
--Two ways to score:
----Eliminate Opposition
----Move Skull into Enemy Home Zone, or just "Goal"
Game-Based Disadvantages:
--Unfamiliar with the Playing Field

Team-Based Advantages:
--Wide Variety of Player Builds
--Very Adaptable
Team-Based Disadvantages:
--Low Specialization

Defending Team: Flying Shadows
Game-Based Advantages:
--Extensive Knowledge and Experience with the Playing Field.
Game-Based Disadvantages:
--Two ways to lose
----Elimination
----Skull in Home Zone

Team-Based Advantages:
--Skilled in Stealth and "Assassination" methods.
--Secondary Specialization in Speed.
Team-Based Disadvantages:
--Weak in fair combat.

Equipment:
Equipment is specialized to each player. Many fans of the sport have given certain set-ups names/classifications:

"Green"
Well-Rounded, carries medium padding, runs somewhat quickly. A Basic Class.

"Tank"
A Juggernaut, with heavy padding. This slows his movement and tires him out, but he's difficult to take down alone, when it comes to combat.

"Runner"
A Skilled sprinter with no padding but a helmet and knee/elbow pads, he dashes past enemies at full speed, leaving them in his dust.

"Ghillie"
A slow moving stalker who uses a ghillie suit to blend in with his surroundings. He's difficult to detect, and surveys the landscape. When he finds a target, he moves behind them and takes them by surprise. No padding.

"Jarhead"
A Military-style warrior, he uses paint and camo clothing to blend in, combining Ghillie and Green. Utilizes Judo techniques to effectively neutralize his foes. Low padding, between Runner and Green.

"H.K."
Hunter-Killer, Purely offensive, he's quick and tough, but has no padding. He exists to blitz the enemy, defeating them before they can react. Best used in open terrain.

You MUST pick one of these sets. However, the Flying Shadows specialize in speed and stealth. While the Timber Wolves can choose any class, the Shadows may only choose the Runner, Ghillie, and Jarhead. Apart from that, you may choose two of the following Items:

Radio- Used to communicate with Teammates, and plan tactical advances. No encryption, so the enemy may be able to hear what you're planning.
Camelback- Small backpack with water bladder and a straw to your mouth. Very low weight, and slight limit to mobility, but offers water in the middle of the "fight."
Map- Simply put, it's a map of the playing field. Basic Folded Paper format. Shows hills and streams, as well as various boundaries, as well as the goal. Remember, Flying Shadows know the land, but not as well as a map.
Motion Sensor and Control Set- 3 Motion Sensors that detect any movement within 20 feet, and anything in visual range of the device within 34 feet. Control set has a display screen that shows target's movement in relation to the Control Set itself. (COUNTS AS TWO ITEMS!!!)
Binoculars- Small and inconspicuous, capable of 12x Magnification.
Smoke Screen- Grenade-like device that emits a LOT of smoke. Useful for getaways or surprise attacks.

I will need One other person, who isn't going to join either team, to take the role of Co-Announcer (That will be my role as well). You'll give commentary on the RP, but also keep a watch on Reality, making sure what happens oughta be possible IRL. If you're interested, just PM me.

That should be everything, I reserve the right to change whatever the eff I want to change. I doubt I'll change anything, tho'.

I would like to participate, but I'm having trouble deciding on a role to chose. So just stick me wherever.

But that's kinda defeating the point... The Idea is you play to your strengths. The Players IRL (If this was real) wouldn't specifically say, "I wanna be a tank." They'd have their own preferences, their own weight load, their own specialty. Those are just the generics that I chose to think up, cuz I want to see how this game would fare IRL.

The point is, you need to pick something you're comfortable with. At the very least, pick a team. Do that, and I'll give you a class.

Remember, that at the end of each round, you can switch out your class, or quit altogether.

But I wouldn't say I have strengths. If I were basing this off of my real life body type I'd have to go with a runner, but my RP preference would be a green or a tank. I'm having problems deciding from those three and the announcer. I've always wanted to pull a John Madden.

But if I had to chose a team I'd go with the Flying Shadows because they seem to be at the disadvantage.

EDIT: I just realized this was in the Role-Playing Haven ..... *Hits face to desk until nose bleeds*

Alright, I'll stick you in as a Jarhead for the Shadows. Seems like a good compromise to me. Good with you?

As for the Disadvantage, I've done my best to make it even. All characters on the same team have similar skills, and know how to use the land to their advantage. Not only that, but they've little need for a map, because they've practiced and played on this field a number of times. This is in contrast to a highly adaptable, but unspecialized team, with practically no knowledge of the field, apart from which way to go.

Alright, sounds good to me. I shall just post this here then? They simply seem at the disadvantage to me because when I play a game I prefer to have access to all types of anything.

Motion Sensor automatically counts as two items, because it's so useful. So, either nix the radio, or switch out the motion sensor for anything else.

Really, this is just an experiment to see how the game would go.

Well, I think I got the gist of it. Then again, I've been proven to be easily confused before. So I'll give it a shot nonetheless.

Team: The Timber Wolves (FF8 reference for the win)
Username: K' the warrior
Character Name: Ken Brandt (It's still my RP character, K'. But this is one of his surnames. But shh.)
Character Age: Late teens.
Classification: Runner
Equip 1: Map
Equip 2: Radio

Also, since you mentioned that the Co-Announcer (A position I REALLY considered taking) will have to comment and keep it real, does that mean we're limited to human abilities? That is, no flying, no super-strength, no no Nanete?

Well, we don't actually DO much. We make Jokes, like sports announcers. We set the scene, like announcers. We describe what's going on, like announcers. We might even make tactical drawings, like Madden. Yes, that means they'd be funny and perhaps inappropriate. Maybe.

We have access to Cameras in trees, on cables overhead, and on Unmanned Aerial Vehicles. We can choose which way they turn, switch to infrared, and the such.

However, the real purpose is to watch and make sure what the players do is realistic. See, my main purpose in creating this RP is to see how it would fare if I introduced it to reality. Thus, I need to keep it realistic.

Realistic, gotcha. Well, I've already chosen to participate as a player, even though, like I said, I'd like to be an announcer too. So if the position is not taken after a while, would it be possible to grab a mule and fill that position?

This seems... Interesting.. Looking at the stealthy classes, I'm reminded of me charrie Xeg, in his slightly earlier pirate/mercenary years. I have to think about what I want to be though, so give me a little more time...
