Most of us realize that commenting under our Aquariums causes our tanks to load very slowly. Many of us have posted a request under our tanks for people not to comment there, but to post in the Glow Thread instead. It's as though they like to type but hate to read!

Empress Mecuniv has a post in site feedback in an effort to get Gaia to disable comments under our tanks. She says "The way I see it, if we can disable comments on our profiles, why not here? It would really help with the lag."

I posted a comment there, agreeing with her, of course, because many Gaians don't even read my requests for them not to comment under my tanks and I'm really getting tired of having to delete their comments. If you agree, please visit her thread and post a comment saying so. If you don't agree, that's okay too. We all have a right to our own opinion. Just know that those comments slow down your tank enough that some people won't even play it.

Ah yes. I hate having to delete comments people put in my tank, even though I politely ask not to do so.

I left a comment. If any petition comes out I would be willing to sign it as well. If this teaches ppl to bump our glow threads instead then we should definetly push for this. Maybe if we could get an actual link then ppl would be more likely to do it. No one like to copy and paste

I haven't made requests, but I don't make comments in Aquariums any more...it's going to be interesting because winning Message in a Bottle entries go there and stay unless you delete them...

Sounds like a good idea to me, 'cause we all have different preferences. I know how well my tanks are doing because I check them every 24 hours against what they made 24 hours before and subtract the difference, then add the total of the tanks. This tells me exactly how much my tanks made in 24 hours. However, I do understand why you - and many people - may not want to bother with that, so yes, options would be nice. heart
