Biography Before Death:Kage was born one hundred years before Ichigo Kurosaki. During his time the Samurai ruled over Japan. His father was the leader of the Shinoha Clan of Samurai and Kage was his apprentice. In his youth Kage mastered the ways of the Samurai. Also, he mastered the ways of Kung Fu and Karate. He got his first katana when he was twelve. His parents where murdered by the rival clan. Kage was abducted and tortured for his Clan's secrets. He was kept until he was twenty when he finally died.

Biography After Death:Once Kage entered the Soul Society he was sent directly to the Soul Reaper Acadamy. He passed all the tests in two years and was made captain of the first squad. during his time their he found out about vizards. When he was sent to the human world he sought them out. During this time he was already the Captain Commander of the Court Guard Squads. Once he found them Kage learned how to create a hollow mask. He killed the leader and was banned from the Soul Society. He quit following the vizard ways the years Ichigo was around and joined again after he died.
