That had to have been their biggest money maker, too - as far as aquarium items, that is!! And for many of us, a big gold maker - for both owners of dolphins and for booty grabbers.
Also gone are Lila, Ninja Fish, Seaslug, Dark Knights, Lime Snail, Candycorn, Yellow Starfish, Reindeer, Gingerbread - even the cute Turtle & Seahorse!! All gone - without as much as a warning in a simple announcement.
They announce when the chance items are leaving so they can rack up the bucks, why not this?? And when items leave the Cash Shop, they let us know what they are. All they said were a few fish were leaving, but no hint as to which ones!!
It came as a shock & I was unprepared. I don't take too well to these kind of surprises - in RL & on Gaia. Frankly, I am pissed!!
BTW - Did you see the announcement about invites & greater daily chances?
"25 invites: Payouts of 100 Gold and up, high-end shops items, aquarium fish, the rarest Daily Chance items, new exclusives, better odds and a chance to win 1 million Gold."
Maybe that's where the dolphins went!! rolleyes I doubt it, but expect to see a trillion more mule accounts gonk

When they said they would be phasing out some fish I was expecting dolphins to go but not quite so soon. I rather thought they would do 'round one' of removals from the fish shop with fish people cared about less to get them used to the idea then remove dolphins in 'round 2'.
They said dolphins were making things 'out of balance' and not selling more is much more fair than nerfing the ones already purchased. It would have been nice if they had said specifically they were removing dolphins on such and such a date. I've seen several posts by folks who were in the middle of creating a dolphin tank and could/would have purchased some more before they left.
If nothing else keeping users informed makes the user feel like Gaia gives a crap about them. I feel like Gaia continually undermines user trust and shoots themselves in the foot by only clearly communicating 'good' stuff and being silent or very vague about communicating 'bad stuff'. It's not like users don't figure out the bad stuff anyway so they just end up feeling like Gaia some how tricked them.

And Daily Chance - yeah - could have been implemented better. I won't be inviting 25 friends. I'll probably just disable DC in my settings.

Lila was never in the shop, unless you mean Memphis. Lila came from various rigs.

They should've indeed sent out an announcement about what was leaving the shop, then we would've stocked up more on it as well.
If the dolphins went to the invite, I doubt that I would get any because I don't know who would join Gaia >.<'
@ David2074: I agree, they should've taken out the fish that no one went for. You'll disable DC? Question: do we still get inks?

I don't see new fish in the tanks -- two of my mules have them -- one has a Zoey and the other a Mantaray, but I am sad about Hamuhamu going! *sobs* crying
