Starting at the child stage (after your first fighing lesson), your kid can start battling. Battles at the child stage are closely monitored. Battles at teen stage are monitored as well, but not as closely. Adult battles are unsupervised.
Battles are to be submitted to GHE_mule. The mule will make a thread in the guild with both combatants' names in the title. The first post will give info about the battle, including hit ranges, list of known attacks, damage for each attack, and health for each battler.
Each combatant will make a post, choosing their first attack and starting it. The mule will then post, rolling 2 d100s. The first die is for combatant 1's attack, the second for combatant 2's attack. (Combatant 1 and Combatant 2 are specified in the first post of the thread.) The combatants post responses, rolling a corresponding die if their attack hits. The mule posts again, with life totals, and rolling the dice again.
The battles continues in that fashion until one battler falls to or below 0 health and is knocked out (teen/adult battles). Child battles end when one combatant loses half their health or after 10 rounds. Teen battles end after 20 rounds if no one has lost. Adult battles don't have a round limit. They can opt to surrrender, though, if they wish.
At the end of the battle, the mule posts the results and locks the thread. If your kid wins, they just might learn something new.

Notes about the fighting system:
The fighting system uses a system that Niki and Tara came up with. Before each kid is born (flatsale, auction, custom, whatever), it is given a strength. These vary greatly and are randomly generated. The strength/weakness of your child has nothing to do whatsoever with Tara or Niki's feelings towards you, the roleplayer.
These same strengths determine if the child can control an element.
Each child can improve their strength through fighting. But, since some children are stronger than others, fights can end up very unbalanced. A child with a higher strength has a better chance of getting a hit in.
So don't get upset or angry if your child enters a battle and his/her opponent has a hit range of something like 1-60 while your child only has a hit range of something like 1-25.
Also. As your child gets stronger, better attacks are available to them. Attacks that they may have had trouble learning in class could become easy. As a child's strength increases, they can perform more and more of attacks they already know, while learning new ones as well. Limited attacks will be noted in the first post. They do not affect the hit range but can do much more damage if a hit succeeds.
Please, please, please. No cheating. That is the reason for posting your attack before the dice are rolled. If you are caught changing your attack, you will be punished however Niki and Tara deem fit.
Keep an eye here for more updates and information.
