 Lucid sat down in his office. He was bored out his mind. He had just go done training and he finished all the dumb paper work that captain's were forced to complete. Since there wasn't any huge chaos going on in the soul society,his division had nothing to do really besides train. That wasn't any fun at all. Lucid laid back in his chair and looked up at the light bulb shining down upon his face. He closed his eyes and began to day dream. He was dreaming about the horrible attack to his home years ago when hollows killed everyone he loved and cared for. He remembered holding his moms hand as blood came running down her chest and mouth. Back then, he didn't shed one tear for any one that died that day. All he did was run as far and fast as he could away from his palace. Now though, he shed many tears when thinking about that day. He couldn't help it. Lucid only thought that if he was strong that he could have taken care of all those hollows in a second and been able to save his family and friends. Lucid opened his eyes and realized he was bleeding because he clinched his fist to tight. He found a rag in his office that was laying on a chair in the corner of the room and ripped it and wrapped it around his hand.
Lucid sat back down and fooled around with pencils and pens that were spread out across his desk. When he finished with that, he took out his Zanpactou and gazed upon its beauty for a short period of time.

Several Shinigami had looked at her in a concerned manner but she brushed their worries off. She felt perfectly fine, even if she didn’t exactly look like it. Being a new Captain, she was still attempting to figure her way around this place. It was rather larger than she was used to and even her own office was massive compared to what she had been living in before. Then again, others would most likely not really notice any difference. It was hard to be able to tell what sort of environment a person grew up in, unless one spent a great deal of time cataloguing somebody’s behaviour. She stretched her arms, yawning slightly. The edges of her jet black hair fluttered in the wind. Suddenly she stopped. Wait one second.
“Uh-oh,” she whispered to herself, looking around herself in confusion.
Wrapped up in her thoughts, she had completely forgotten to check whether or not she had been going in the right direction. Nope. This wasn’t too familiar to her. She had been intending to head back to her own Squad, but she was utterly lost right now. Suddenly, she recognized this place and smiled. This was the 10th Division Areas. Maybe since she was here, although it was really a complete accident and a result of her inattentiveness, wouldn’t it be good to introduce herself? She didn’t know many of the other Captains and it would be nice to be able to know what her fellow comrades were like. Sauntering over to the Captain’s Quarters, she knocked quietly on the door, not wanting to barge in, in case the Captain wasn’t there or the Captain was doing something important.
“Hey, it’s Shizuka, the 7th Division Captain, I just wanted to say hello and introduce myself,” she called, her voice barely able to be heard.

Lucid was staring off into space until he heard someone at the door. He had been captain for only a few days so getting a visit from the 7th division captain was not so surprising. He had never seen the 7th division captain before so,he walked up to the door and opened it. Lucid had a smile on his face and saw the beautiful women who stood at the door before him. What brings you hear? Captain... Lucid never knew her name so he waited for a response.
While in that split moment of wait,he took a second glance at the captain and couldnt help but keep smiling. Lucid hasn't seen a beautiful lady since..the incedent.

A smile appeared on her face as she assessed Lucid’s friendly behaviour. Maybe she might fit in here better than she would have originally thought. What did bring her here? She had been lost, but it was quite true that she had been intending to introduce herself to the others. After all, this Captain was apparently just as new as her so he seemed like a nice choice. Anyway, it was only her that had the lie detector ingrained as her sixth sense. Imagine if everyone else had that. Some people couldn’t deal with having to tell the truth all the time.
“I just thought I’d say hello, since I’m pretty new here.” she replied in a cheerful voice, all traces of her sleepiness disappearing.

Lucid smiled Im pretty new myself. Glad you came to visit.....Come and sit down. Have some tea.lucid escorted her to the chair right in front of his desk. He pulled it back so she could sit down while he went away into another room and made some tea. Lucid was planning on going around and meeting the captains himself. It was nice of one to come and visit him. Even if her true intention before hand,was never to really meet hm at all. Lucid had a weird feeling that this captain,didn't mean to come and visit him. He didn't know why he felt this way,it was just a feeling, As lucid got the tea started he pulled out a tray from a cabinet above him and two cups. Once the tea was finished he poured some of the tea into both cups and put the cups on a tray so he wouldn't burn himself while trying to take to tea to the other captain. He came in the room and place the tray right on his desk infront of the captain. He went around and sat in his chair facing her. Whats your name captain?

She looked around the room in curiosity. It wasn’t entirely new to her, as she did have her own room, but it was interesting to see how each Captain seemed to personalize their own area. The decorations reflected a lot of the person underneath, as much as what their words and actions said about them. Being a ‘diplomat’, so to speak, she had learnt to interpret different sorts of behaviours from people. As the Captain returned, she smiled again, something that was becoming easier and easier to do as time progressed. She politely took one of the tea cups, blowing on it to cool it down. She didn’t drink it just yet, as she wasn’t intending on burning her tongue. Instead, she rotated the tea cup in her hand, the heat radiating from the cup as the tea was still piping hot. He had most likely just made it then. As he asked the question, her gaze met his eyes evenly.
“I’m Shizuka. What’s your name?” she asked.

Lucid drunk some of the tea. Tea was his favorite drink. When he was little thats all he drunk. Tea would always clam him down in the most stressful of situations. It made his mind clear and focused. There was nothing else in this world better than tea to him. He look at Shizuka. The name was lovely and he smiled slightly when he heard it. The names Lucid. Im sorry the tea is so hot. I just mad it when you came in. Lucid took another sip of tea and got up and looked out the window behind him gazing off into the pleasant tree behind him. The leaves were all around it but it was a healty growing tree. The wind blew its leaves around the entire field making it look like they were dancing for his amusement.Its peaceful this time around on the surface. It would be horrible to say that i wish something major happened right now. Cause i,and my squad, is bored. We are only called out for big and difficult missions. but, peace is good. Lucid smiled as he turned and looked at Shizuka.

Experimentally, she lightly touched it with the tip of her pinky. It wasn’t too hot anymore. She sipped it, the taste causing her face to light up. Wow, she had to admit that it tasted nice. Tea was rather good for her, but unfortunately, she was more of a coffee person. It wasn’t for the taste or for any other reason than the sheer fact that it allowed her to be able to get the energy she needed for the day. Energy drinks, that those humans seemed to like, were fine too but coffee was less sugary.
“Well, it’s nice to meet you, Lucid,” she said quietly, “And don’t worry about the tea. It’s perfectly fine. Thanks, by the way.”
As Lucid looked out of the window, she took the opportunity to take another sip of her tea. She followed his gaze out to the tree that was behind him. Why was he suddenly staring at trees? Maybe he was contemplating something. As he spoke and smiled at her, she listened, still drinking the tea.
“I see what you mean, it is pretty peaceful,” she remarked, “I understand being bored. Well, my Squad doesn’t really do too much fighting in missions anyway, since we stay back and manage everything. Sometimes, a desk job does get annoying, especially with all the paperwork to fill out. But…it’s been a while since there was a war, but I hope this peace will stay…”

Lucid finished his tea and place the cup down behind him. He sat down in his chair thinking about what Shizuka just said. as long as Shinigami like us are still around peace will be kept.Lucid made another smile appear across his face. Why do you talk in almsot a whisper. I hope i dont scare you in anyway?Lucid laughed a little bit which you can say was kind of like a chuckle. Lucid was always feared by other shinigami while growing up and when he was little people were afraid of him. Only for the soul fact that he never like to talk to anyone and he always had a look of discontent on his face. The attack on his family didn't help cure that either. It was only when he began training and getting stronger that he actually attempted a smile. Ever since then he smile often. He noticed it helps people clam down in the most stressful of situations.It was people natural medicine i guess.

It was definitely calming her down a little bit, since she had been a little worried about the fact that she wasn’t entirely sure how she was going to make it around back to her Squad. Spending some time talking with Lucid was very nice, actually, and she quite enjoyed it. It had been a while since she managed to have a decent conversation with someone, without having to negotiate something as a diplomat. She laughed along with Lucid, being more of a giggle than anything else.
“Well, let’s just hope that the Shinigami will be able to keep the peace,” she replied in a slighter louder voice, “Don’t worry, you’re not scaring me at all. This is the way I always talk. I dunno it’s just something I’ve always done.”
Her voice was a little stronger now, as she was getting more used to and accustomed to talking to people in a regular normal conversation again. However, there was one thing she was slightly curious of.
“Do people usually get scared of you? Why would somebody be scared of you?” she asked, confused.

Lucid gave another smile People fear me because of the squad i am in. They also fear me because they think theres a evil intentions behind my smileLucid couldn't help but laugh at the last part. Even though it was true it was still quite funny. It was amazing how people judged him when they found out he was squad tens captain. The last captain must have been crazy mean. It didn't bother Lucid though what other people thought about him.

He seemed to be telling the truth though, as her sixth sense was telling her. It wasn’t entirely unusual to have people scared of Captains of certain squads since those particular squads were characterised easily. However, she hadn’t believed that people would take it so far as to think that there would be an evil intention behind somebody’s smile. Wow, that was crazy. She had never encountered the like of that before. Nobody was really scared of her, even though she had to admit that she was sometimes a little sneakier in dealing with people, since her Shikai allowed complete control over emotions.
“Wow. I never really thought there would be an evil intention behind somebody’s smile. That’s…just mean, I think,” she shared her thoughts, “I’ve never really been a scary person, mainly because of the fact that I’m a ‘diplomat’, so to speak. Well, I guess it’s just what people think, right?”
She finished her tea and set the cup down. Lucid was extremely interesting to her and she wanted to find out more information about him. Hopefully, she wouldn’t hit any obstacles or any sore points along the way.
“This is a random question, but I was wondering why you chose Squad Ten? Was there a particular reason…or were you just assigned to it?” her question was rather simple and brief.

Lucid thought about her question for a second then finished his tea as well. Lucid folded his arms over his chest and looked at Shizuka. My powers were better suited to squad ten. Even tholugh im strong enough to be the captain of squad one. Lucid knew for a fact why he was assigned to this squad. His powers were for more up scale battle. Not just fighting some low life hollows. Lucid found this a good and bad thing cause he couldnt do that many missions so his men would get lazy and when a mission came there would be alot of causalities.

His powers were more suited? So it was more of a practical solution rather than a private reason. That made more sense, actually. She was completely different to him, since she purposefully chose this Squad. After all, her past was what made her make this particular decision. Sometimes it was hard for her to have to deal with all the emotions and stress that came with being a Captain, but the end result was rewarding. As long as there was the threat of war, she would keep at her job day after day, attempting to work towards an everlasting peace. It was an impossible dream, but her only one, nevertheless.
“I see. What powers do you have exactly?” she tilted her head to one side, a curious look in her face.
