Hello *waves* I am new here and I have found two things disturbing, first of all there isn't a Sarah Brightman forum and second of all there isn't a Classical forum. Geez. Anyways, for those of you who don't know who Sarah Brightman is, she is a singer from England. She has been in many musicals including "Jesus Christ Superstar" and was the first Christine Dae in Andrew Lloyd Webber's "The Phantom of the Opera". I have been to two of her concerts so far and they are fabulous. There are lots of pyrotechnics, "flying" in the air while dancing, and fog/rain machines. It's very atmospheric. I would suggest going to one of her concerts if you are a fan. Anyways there is tons of stuff on the web about her. HanyouKagome86 I LOVED her in The Phantom of The Opera. She was fabulous! I absolutely agree. I love her voice over Emmy Rossum's in the movie The Phantom of the Opera. Perhaps I am just biased though ^_^ (Though I love Emmy as an actress and she does have a beautiful voice. I used to watch her in Disney movies, before she 'grew up'.)

never heard her in Phantom of the opera. I heard her sing Time to Say Goodbye. It's opera, and all Italian, and the only part I could understand was when she sang the title sweatdrop

I DO!!! Ah, but being a slut is what it's all about now, lol. Personally I loved her costumes (I saw her in concert). My fave was the black puffy skirt with just her nylons on. Awesome. You should check out her other CDs; Fly, Time to Say Good-bye, The Andrew Lloyd Webber Collection, and many others. She doesn't do just opera, but rock and techno as well. She's very prolific!

They knock off the socks of the current cast in the movie.

I have one of her albums, but it's not my fav one sweatdrop especially because it's a bit too pop.
However, Sarah Brightman has a beautiful voice! Well, and her shows are great (i've only seen them on tv)
But I remember that years ago, 2000 or so, my fav song was Deliver me... I wouldn't be able to stop listening to it.
Also, she has a very nice version of 'This Love', but I also like the one of Coucteau Twins 3nodding
So she's an opera singer? has she been in any particular opera? I'd like to know eek

oh, I forgot to add that although she's a very good singer, I don't like the versions she made of songs like Hijo de la Luna (belongs to the band Mecano) and hmm... another one that I forgot... they're in the album Luna sweatdrop it was well technically, but I guess she kinda forgot the musicality sad
