First off, the new Zipline podcast has been the best to date for clearing up the future of MAG DLC. Here are a few points from the interview with Scott Rudi:

- There will be no more modified weapon versions, they are instead planning the release of NEW weapons such as the G36.

- There will be no jetpacks, due to it completely changing the already great gameplay of MAG.

- Helicopters follow a specific path, and the ability to pilot them would break many aspects of the levels. There are no plans to look into this in the year, but beyond it is a possibility.

- In the next patch, due later this month, vehicles have been retuned!

- The LMG is being worked on thoroughly. As he spends a lot of time tinkering with weapons, Rudi is also annoyed with how it behaves and the fact that it's become an "all-purpose" weapon. Changes are being made to make it impossible to run-and-gun and instead for it to be useful you have to be crouched or prone.

- Since increasing the CC cost of LMG's and MMG's would break a lot of full loadouts and cause them to go over-budget, all the other weapons have been reduced in CC cost to give the illusion of the machine guns costing more.

- Handguns will cost 0CC in the new patch! They are not planning to remove them (EVER) but at they now do not clash with completing loadouts by being 100CC over-budget.

- Rudi sees the assault rifles as the "jack-of-all-trades" and the "swiss army knife" of MAG, and so bayonets are looking to be added onto them in the future as an attachment.

- It has been confirmed that it does not matter which part of the body you hit with a knife, such as head or hand, the only thing that changes is that from the front damage is x1, from the side it's x1.5 and from the back x2.

- Shotguns are still being tuned, as Rudi describes the spread as too "random".

- Shotguns with higher capacity actually fire slower, so Raven's Boudini fires the fastest.

- There is a confirmation of new skills and gear to come as time goes on, probably released as DLC.

Another interesting thing I've been hearing about is a PSN survey sent around about MAG, for future DLC. It basically said:

Quote:
The Interdiction Pack
Engage the enemy on neutral battlefields, fighting to seize control of command posts. The all-new Interdiction missions feature two convoys, 128 players, 3 primary objectives, and no defender… both forces assume the role of attacker.

- If this downloadable content were available in MAG now for $12.99 (some say $8.99), how likely would you be to purchase this downloadable content?
