All right people, it's time to start getting down the nitty-gritty of Japanese. And that means verbs.
We are going to start out with a few verbs in formal present tense.
tabemasu - to eat
nomimasu - to drink
arukimasu - to walk
shinimasu - to die
mimasu - to watch/look
kikimasu - to listen/hear
hanashimasu - to speak
You may notice that allof these verbs end in "-masu".
Now, suppose we want to make this a negative verb? Change -masu to -masen.
Ex. Tabemasen - does not eat.
If we want to make it past tense, change -masu to -mashita
Ex. Tabemashita - ate
And if we want it negative past tense, it becomes -masen deshita
Ex. Tabemasen deshita - did not eat.
If you want to do something, it becomes -tai.
Ex. Tabetai - want to eat.

watashi wa Ramen no tabetai. Watashi wa nihongo hanashimasu dekiru, demo watashi no nihon chotto henna mimasu yo.

You are the subject (watashi) Cheesecake is the delicious object (chiisukeeki) `Want to eat` is the verb. So your correct sentence would be: Watashi wa chiisukeeki wo tabetai desu.

I think I get it.. So, I did not eat would be:
Watashi tabemasen deshita.
And particles are not needed for this right? What are particles again? Sorry gonk

I just noticed, many are using it but i've never seen it before so thats why i'm asking. is it correct to add "desu" when saying 'rame wo tabetai" ?
I researched it and found that both way are correct, but when you use "desu" it is considered more polite.
