This is basically a popularity contest, just to see which one out of the 4 is the most favoured.
On one note, I'd like to clarify that anime is cartoons, and manga is comics, but anime and manga are done in the Japanese style (examples: Naruto, Yu Yu Hakusho, Dragonball Z etc.), while cartoons and comics tend to be American (examples: Spider-Man, The Hulk, Superman etc.) (This note was just to clear up any confusion.)
Note: The reason why this thread is not under any of the stickies in this sub-forum is because it deals with all 4, and can't be put under just one of them. Plus, it's considered a vs. discussion, which is not allowed in the 4 stickies.

If I had to choose only one to enjoy for the rest of my life... it'd be the comics. Though I'd be lying if I told you I don't enjoy Bleach, Family guy, Love Hina, ect.

If I have to pick one I choose comics. I could live the rest of my life a happy man as long as I can get to a comic shop. anime and manga's nice and all but I'll take Bone over Naruto anyday. Cartoon's are a close second (My TV is on Cartoon Network 90% of the time. And that's not just because my remote's broken.)

Anime Beats Cartoons, And I can't really choose between Comics and Manga since the biggest difference is the Location and certain Censorship issues..

NekoTalim Anime Beats Cartoons, And I can't really choose between Comics and Manga since the biggest difference is the Location and certain Censorship issues.. Though I like anime the most out of all of them too, it doesn't necessarily beat cartoons. I enjoy all four, and they all have aspects about them that make them unique. Not a single one of them is in fact better than all the rest, but opinions count here, which is why it is a popularity contest, not an event to see which is ultimately the best.

Though I really enjoy ALL animation... I'd lean way towards the Cartoon side. It is what I've grown up with. My earliest memory was watching "It's a good life Charlie Brown" it was then at 3 years old that I knew i wanted to be a cartoonist. Charles Shultz has always been one of my biggest influences... If i could touch just one person with my artwork as he touched me my life as an Artist would be a complete success.

I also watched alot of old school Spider-Man and Batman. Over time I started to lean towards anime, as there was something about it that caught my attention. Though I favour anime, I still enjoy cartoons very much, such as Family Guy, Teen Titans, X-Men Evolution and many others.

Comics are on the top of my list, and cartoons are a close second. Then manga, then anime.
You know what I noticed? Living with a six-year-old really broadens your appreciation of cartoons. For instance, I now like cartoons that I would have never watched without my nephew, like Code Lyoko, Mucha Lucha and Ozzy and Drix.

I've already cleared up the whole issue of "anime being cartoons" and "manga being comics" in the first post. Just for your future satisfaction, when we refer to "anime", yes, we are referring to J-Anime, or Japanese Animation.

I have to say, for me, cartoons will always beat out anime. But, I am a bit biased I'll admit, The first movie I ever saw was Lady and the Tramp and I've been addicted ever since. I love the Disney classics like Beauty and the Beast, The Lion King, Alladin, etc.

I probably was, and with good reason.
