Since this is a newly formed guild and we're trying to get people to join, does anyone have any recommendations for someone to join. Anyone who shows a good grasp of wrestling knowledge while respecting another posters different opinion would be greatly welcomed.

Edit: Also, any ideas that you think would improve the guild would be greatly appreciated.

Sadly the PW seems to be lacking in those types of people nowadays. I remember the good old days when it was littered with well informed intelligent folks.

How about Twilight Tokyo Rose? She seems to have a good grasp of wrestling knowledge (albeit probably more japanese wrestling than anything) and she is for the most part respectful. Speaking of foreign wrestling, are we going to be strictly American or other promotions as well? I watch Mexican wrestling weekly on top of the American stuff so I know a bit about it.

She has some grasp, but she is far from respectful considering most of her posts have run along the lines of "oh you like x, well you're retarded".

As for your question, no it's not limited to just American wrestling. It's open to any pro wrestling topic.

Okay I think then that people like that are few and far between in our little wrestling forum here on Gaia. It would be nice to have more people post who are respectful but I am afraid we may be it lol.

Cool on the other answer, I was going to try and start a Lucha Libre thread in the regular forum but wasn't sure how it would go.

It is a sad but true fact that there aren't a whole lot of respectful and intelligent people floating around the PW forum, but keep your eyes open (I saw someone of interest, but they've only posted twice, so I'm keeping my eye on them). If you see anyone you think has a good understanding of wrestling (they don't need to be smarkish) and respectful enough to the degree that they aren't starting fights all the time (debates are fine...or even witty repartee...just not guys who start arguments that have zero substance or are just insult hurling contests).

As far as the lucha libre thread goes, that's cool. I'm not sure how much I'll be able to join in on that though since I've only seen lucha libre when it is/was on the bigger companies (WCW, WWF, etc.)

I'm going to open up recommendations a little. Due to lack of activity, most likely due to our low numbers, I'm going to say that the only real requirement for recommendation is that they have respect for other people's opinions.

I've thought about it a little bit, and to those who aren't "as informed", I figure there are enough people here to "educate" others (i.e. if they've really only experienced the PG era, offer them a taste of the Attitude Era or beyond. If all they know is TNA and WWE, offer them some insight into the independents and foreign companies). I think this will help generate activity, and also avoid an "elitist" complex.

So, anyone have any recommendations?

I'm sure most of you guys already subscribe to or bookmark certain channels if you can't watch everything on TV, but I still think it'd be cool for us to keep a list of good youtube users.

Among a couple of shorts, this guy uploads Raw, Smackdown, Impact, Superstars, NXT, ROH, and the quality's almost as good as on my TV. Along with that, he also uploads ppvs for a little while after they air which can be found by going to the next 2 links. They're just not as easy to find through regular searching methods, as that would also make it easier for the videos to be deleted.
