I'm making this sticky for discussion about thoughts and reactions for SmackDown, which hopefully will be updated on a weekly basis starting this Friday night (although, if anyone wants to start discussion now, feel free).

-Lay-Cool beat Kelly Kelly/Tiffany- Layla showed some decent moves in this match...This awful awful match. By the by, Michelle wins with the Styles Clash huh? Vince: "Hey TNA...your homegrown hero's finisher can be done by a Diva...Suck on dat!"
-JTG beat Caylen Croft- Kinda sloppy. Makes it hard to believe that JTG was actually the talented one in Cryme Tyme. On a side note, I like the Dude Busters gimmick of being complete and total douches. They really should rename them as the Douche Busters...
-Vickie Guerrero and Christian talk about the Peep Show- Christian can't see eye-to-eye with his guest huh? Bet it's gonna be Hornswoggle.
-Curt Hawkins/Vance Archer beat Jeremy Barner/Brent Roberts- Squash match so fast, it took me a while to remember the opponents names...Regardless, Archer and Hawkins look like they might make a decent run in the failing WWE tag division...until they're broken up and one is immediately forgotten while the other gets a half-decent push and then is immediately forgotten.
-Kofi Kingston beat Jack Swagger- Despite Swagger's somewhat lazy performance in what would have been a good match otherwise, I would like to see him win on more than one occasion. At least it wasn't a legit win...but seriously, I'm not sure anyone's been buried so hard when they're wearing the world title.
-The Peep Show w/ Hornswoggle- (feigning shock) Oh wow, who would have seen that coming? Seriously though, during that ridiculous segment with Hornswoggle, when they got to beer, I kinda wish 'Swoggle would have broken character and said something to the effect of "well actually, my good fellow, I abstain from drinking alcoholic beverages" while wearing a monocle....Another thing...what was the point of him getting in that box? Just to prove he could do it? It was random and stupid, but hey, Ziggler's probably going to have a short feud with Christian...or at least a match sometime soon.
-Rey Mysterio/MVP beat S.E.S.- At least one thing can be said for this feud...they're building the proper heat for it...even if they didn't book it like they should have. It's, to me, the by far most interesting storyline on SmackDown. The match wasn't bad either...
-Big Show beat Drew McIntyre via DQ- I wouldn't say it was a great wrestling match, but it did what it needed to do...push Show as a tough guy, a guy Swagger will have a hard time beating, without completely burying McIntyre. Other than that, there wasn't much to this match...Should have been the opening match, but then I guess Swagger interrupting wouldn't have made much sense (story-wise, it works better this way). Regardless, shouldn't have been the main event.
Overall, not a bad show for a go-home show (show right before the PPV). Yeah, the matches weren't great, but they did what they needed to build heat for this Sunday (and introduce a possible match between Christian and Ziggler). Also, TNA should take format notes...one segment between matches at most (some had no segments between, just a commercial break). And with the exception of the opening segment, they weren't that long (something RAW needs to fix as well), which allowed for longer matches (the Archer/Hawkins tag match was the only real short match).

-S.E.S. straight edge pledge promo- This s**t again? Same old s**t! Same old s**t! *Fast forward* Seriously, Rey and Punk are being dragged out like Cena vs Batista.
-Lay-Cool beat Kelly Kelly/Tiffany- WWE Beautiful People vs WWE Taylor Wilde and Sarita *Fast forward*
-Big Show "did you know" segment- not bad
-JTG beat Caylen Croft-zzzz Striyker-"JTG ignites the crowd" Almost dead silence from crowd. lol
-Vickie Guerrero and Christian talk about the Peep Show- I bet he has Hornswoggle as a guest.
-Curt Hawkins/Vance Archer beat Jeremy Barner/Brent Roberts- I had to remind myself who these guys were. So Miz has a mini me that does squash matches. *Edit* To their credit, Hawkins and Archer were impressive. I can't remember the last time a WWE team used so much teamwork without distracting the ref and using the routine heel cheapshots.
-Big Show second "did you know" segment- again not bad
-Kofi Kingston beat Jack Swagger- nothing special. All the credit I gave Swagger last week died when he looked like he was gonna cry. *Thought* Oh wait. The crybaby Angle is being used. Not what I had hoped for but I'll settle for.
-The Peep Show w/ Hornswoggle- Hornswoggle? eek rolleyes Saw that coming *fast forward* Vickie rolleyes *resume fast forward* Zigler hey potential.
-Rey Mysterio/MVP beat S.E.S. _ Recycled.
-Drew McIntyre interview; Kofi interrupts
-Oh, by the way...in case you haven't heard or noticed....Cena and Batista have an I QUIT match this Sunday... eek Since when? lol
-Big Show beat Drew McIntyre via DQ No real shock. Does this loss get removed too?
I'd rather have just read the results but the show did make me wonder about a few things.

Hmm I'm guessing it would be Christian & Hornswoggle vs. Dolph Ziggler and Chavo Guerrero next week.. But that would suck...

So I'm watching at wwe.com right now...Hehe... Wait hold on, why did Christian had Horswoggle as his guest??? I think the real question is....Okay, nevermind, that is a valid question. Why was Hornswoggle the guest? Two other things of "interest" in the show... 1) When Kelly Kelly and Tiffany were being announced...maybe I just heard wrong, but it sounded like the announcer said Kelly all three times. 2) ...Stryker was telling everyone a story about Ricky Steamboat and Jake the Snake Roberts and he was getting to what I'm assuming was the important part of the story where "and Ricky said....." and then something happened in the ring. He still hasn't finished his story yet...Stryker is now a master at suspense!!!!

Big Show & Kofi Kingston defeated Jack Swagger & Drew McIntyre - Crowd chanted "Kofi" the entire match. Standard tag match with Show getting the hot tag and picking up the victory over McIntyre.
CM Punk defeated Kane - Punk is wearing a mask now. Punk had good heat but nobody really cared about Kane. Sad as he used to be one of the best big man workers about 10 years ago. GTS was botched the first time so they did a "re-shoot" and the second time was even worse. Punk just ended up pinning Kane and hoping the camera would save his a**
There was a promo involving Dolph Ziggler and Vickie Guerrero involving Vickie thanking Ziggler for helping out last week with Hornswoggle and being willing to pay him back in full.- This was disturbing
Christian and Hornswoggle defeated Chavo Guerrero and Dolph Ziggler - I fell asleep and Chavo is still jobbing to Hornswoggle rolleyes
LayCool promo- that made me want to puke. Michelle must put a gun to her head every night because I would be.
Luke Gallows defeated MVP - Masked SES member came out and match went to formula.
Undertaker defeated Rey Mysterio - Thank God this was an actual match instead of a set up for an attack.
After the match and Taker raising his fist and the show going of the air, Jack Swagger came out and stomped on Mysterio. Mysterio eventually fought back and hit the 619 and left the ring. Then JTG came out and hit his finisher on Swagger. Then MVP came out and hit his finisher on Swagger. Then R-Truth came out and hit his finisher on Swagger. Then Christian came out and hit the Killswitch on Swagger. Then Matt Hardy came out and hit the Twist of Fate on Swagger. Then they all mocked him by doing push-ups in the ring. After everybody left Swagger in the ring, Chimel told crowd to go home.

I saw the first half of the show and some of from the MVP/Gallows match to the end. But after the Punk match, my dad "asked" me to go get ice...and it's "race weekend" here in Indianapolis, so the short drive to the gas station down the street ended up being longer than expected.
Also, there wasn't much that I cared about during the show. Up until Taker/Rey, the matches weren't all that great. And even then, Taker and Rey had some good moments, but it felt like it should have been bigger. I don't know. Maybe it's just me. Or maybe I just lost a lot of interest when I went into the back to talk to my dad...and LayCool was on...giving a HORRID promo...

You'd think this city would have exploded with awesomeness by now...anywho, these races are killing me. I live a couple miles away from Speedway (where the 500 is held)...and I live right down the block from the O' Reilly Raceway Park...so traffics always a b***h in the summer. And while we're on the topic of being off topic...Maybe we should open up the forum to more than just wrestling...you know...to maybe generate more conversation.
