Ninosk, skittering cave monster, who brought darkness with him wherever he went, was creeping around in that terrifying land of sunlight, far even from the entrance to the Underdark, in search of...whatever it was he was in search of.
Well...you could call it creeping, but it was more like weakly dragging himself from rock shadow to rock shadow; a run-in with one of the vicious ladies under whom he theoretically served had ended with a broken leg. This in itself did not bother him so much, but it put a serious crimp in his normally eerie movements, and his way of sulking was to exaggerate the injury to the point that anyone who saw him would suspect he was dying. But...Ninosk didn't expect anyone to see him, either, as he had dragged himself to the upper world that everyone else so despised.
Ninosk, who radiated darkness, was not duly bothered by the piercing sun, and in fact regularly came up here to catch insects, though he rarely ventured out of the little area that was considered Drow territory. Today, though, he was feeling especially irritated, and maybe somewhat more crazy than usual, so he had now ventured far from Drow turf--man, for a cripple pretending to be dying, he could sure move quickly. The sound of running water caught his ear, and he limp-dragged himself in that direction, hoping to find some dragonflies to torment.

Isabelle had gotten a little.......sidetracked? Astray? Misplaced? Off course? No, she'd gotten lost. Sighing, she curled up under a leaf, shivering at the cold. The sun was shining, but the breeze blowing through froze her to the bone. How had she gotten detached from the group? Oh yeah, there was a butterfly floating around and Isabelle decided to follow it. Why did she have such a fascination with things like that? Sighing again, she got up, stretched, and walked out from under the leaf. It was going to rain today. Isabelle wasn't a big fan of the rain. It made her cold and well......wet, of course. Scratching her ear, she heard the sound of the river nearby. Maybe that could help her get home! Trudging through the dense plants and things, she finally made it to the river. Reaching down, she started to get a drink of water before following it down to her burrow.

((Oh, right, I should post the image. I knew something was missing. :B)) Ninosk spotted the other mouse at the riverside, but in his experience, females came in only one variety: screeching, vicious harpies. But if she lived around here, he might find something fun if he followed her, so...he trailed her all the way back to her burrow. Then he crept a little way inside and plastered himself to the wall like some sort of bizarre spider--but his useless leg made it impossible for him to actually crawl around on the wall today, and he actually had to keep a couple paws on the ground. The mouse smirked to himself, in anticipation of being discovered by (and terrifying) any random passerby whatsoever. Yeah, hanging out in the entrances of tunnels was a pretty fun time.

Isabelle had thought she'd heard something following her. The skittering to the wall effect proved to herself that she was right. Pretending not to notice as she walked over, she called out, " If you wanna be sneaky, don't do it with a hurt foot." Not trying to bust his bubble, Isabelle just wanted to help. Scratching her ear, she looked up at the radioactive mouse and tilted her head. In the neon clan, the only out of the ordinary mouse they had in their little community so far was her friend Ophelia, who was zebra striped and super floofly. This new mouse intrigued her. His demeanor was kind of creepy, but she figured that's exactly what he was going for. Sitting down, she called out again, " If you come down here I can fix your foot."

Ninosk scowled at Isabelle. She wasn't scared of him at all? Not even a little? In fact, it seemed she knew he was there the whole time. This is why he hated women. :< And he was convinced her offer of medical assistance was a trap. He hissed at her, but scurried past her, deeper into the burrow...being underground was always preferable for Drow.

Isabelle was confused. Why the hell would this Drow (was he a Drow, she wasn't sure what he was yet) was going farther and farther into Neon territory. Others were simply staring at him limping about. Isabelle ran to catch up with him and said, " If you think I'm going to hurt you, you're wrong. I'm not like the Drow women who are a little less.....um....sympathetic?" Looking down at his food, she gasped. It didn't look good. Standing in front of him, Isabelle asked again, " Please can I help you?" Leaving people when they were hurt was hard for Isabelle, being so empathetic.

Ninosk stubbornly refused to stop, though he was starting to go in circles just to get away from Isabelle. But his vision was starting to get kind of tunnel-y, and not just because he was in a tunnel...and then he walked right into Iril. "Hey, jerk, watch where you're walking!" Iril said, irritably. Lately his luck with the ladies had been pretty bad. He was a bit bigger than Ninosk, and not at all intimidated by the constant hissing, plus Isabelle seemed to want the weirdo, for some reason...ah, that just made him more irritated, so he shoved the mouse back, and was a bit surprised to find that the weird thing passed out on the floor. "Ah, miss Isabelle, I seem to have caught your mouse for you," he said with a strange sort of half-smirk. But...this looks like...a Drow... he pondered to himself.

Isabelle was elated to see Iril. He'd been out hunting for more food and their schedules hadn't intertwined like they usually did. The Drow's condition must've been worsening, because he ran straight into Iril. Oooh, bad idea, she thought, snickering a little. Iril got angry, just as she'd thought, and pushed him down. The Drow passed out and lied on the floor. Springing over to him, Isabelle, smiled and giggled at Iril's comment. He seemed to have some sort of fancy with her, but Isabelle just figured that was her own imagination. Scratching her ear, she nuzzled Iril and said, " Thank you Iril. Can you help me take him to the hospital hole?" They called it a hole because it was basically a big room with holes for houses in the walls. Kind of like a honey comb sort of situation. Giving Iril a pleading look, she hoped he'd help her. Being rather small for a mouse, she knew she couldn't carry him and if her father got wind of her letting (well, she didn't technically let him in) a Drow in, he's smoosh her. Isabelle didn't care really what clan somebody was from when they needed help. If they'd been mean or bad to her, that might change things, but usually she was very benevolent. Sometimes it irritated her father because she was constantly not around because she was off running around helping others. Waiting for Iril's response, she tried to get the glowing mouse to come to, stroking the side of his head with her tiny paw.

"No problem." Iril grunted and lifted the unconscious mouse onto his back. Ninosk was a bit heavy, and Iril wasn't that strong, but helping her would definitely earn him some points with Isabelle, so he just bore with it. He wondered how this business was going to fly later, though...a lot of other clan members had seen that thing when it came in, so it wasn't like Gabriel had no chance of hearing about it...ah, well. Not really his problem, and the sooner the weird mouse got kicked out, the better. Iril reflected on this as he endeavored to bring that creature to the hospital hole, then dropped it--rather roughly--into an unoccupied cubby hole. "If that's all, I've got...uh...things to do," he said, flashing Isabelle a brief smile and slipping off before he ended up associated with the Drow too.

Isabelle gave Iril the biggest smile she could as he scuttled off. Calling for the nurse, Sarabeth, she waited for her while walking over to the other mouse. Her father was probably going to find out and give her a good beating for doing something as bad as this. He usually didn't raise a hand to his children, but the first rule he'd given them since their birth was not to mess with other clans. Upon that thought, Isabelle contemplated on whether or not this was a good idea. Brushing the radioactive mouse's fur, Isabelle greeted Sarabeth with a squeak. Upon seeing where the mouse had supposedly come from, Sarabeth gasped and growled at Isabelle. " Isabelle, this is-" she said, before she cut her off, " I know I know. He's a Drow and our enemy and all that good stuff. Now will you please help me?" Knowing she couldn't turn down the princess of the leader of the clan, Sarabeth sighed. " If this goes bad, it's all on you, got it?" Nodding vigorously, Isabelle held up the mouse's bad foot. After a little bit of bandaging with the stock of scraps of bandages found on an abandoned camp sight of humans, Sarabeth sat back. " Now we have to wait for him to wake." Nodding, Isabelle rested his head on her legs.

Ninosk came to after a couple minutes and, as might be expected, retreated as far into the hole in the wall as he could. He was trapped by females and he definitely didn't like it, which, naturally, he expressed by hissing at them. He didn't really notice any of the medical attention he had been given (or the fact that, until just then, he had been using Isabelle as a pillow). Really he was just confused, and the day had already been pretty tiring, what with the beatings and all.

Isabelle was hoping for a warmer response than that, but she knew that the males of the Drow clan sometimes feared females because they were so violent. Scratching an ear, she took a few steps closer to the mouse, lowering her head in an attempt to communicate to him that she meant no harm. " Don't be afraid. I'm not going to hurt you. See? I even had your foot fixed." Pointing a paw towards his foot, Isabelle stopped, wanting to see if staying still would help. It was like coaxing a frightened cat from under the bed. Sighing to herself, she decided to wait. ((short post, sorry))

((XD My posts are always short....uh, and tend to get shorter as the RP goes on, so it's fine.))
Ninosk glanced involuntarily at his foot when Isabelle pointed at it, but he was not particularly moved by the medical care. He stayed stubbornly where he was, as far from the other mice as he could get. But just then, his stomach grumbled. He had no food, there were no convenient insects around, and he was trapped. This was kind of a problem. There wasn't enough room for him to get around Isabelle with his leg hurt, and even if he did, the outside of the alcove was guarded (he felt)...his stomach gurgled again.

At this point, Isabelle was starting to get ticked off. Never had someone been so negative to her after she tried so hard to help them. Sighing to herself, she didn't want to get angry at this mouse and cause problems, so she simply walked off, her head hung low with defeat. She knew in her heart that she couldn't make everyone happy, but the way this mouse acted just kind of got to her. What had she ever done to him other than help? Did he not want his foot to be bandaged? She didn't know what to do. Grabbing some food from the stash in the food hole, she slid it up into the hole where the mouse was and continued on her way. She figured that her father had gotten wind of this, and she would get chewed out beyond belief. So, already heading to her room, she cowered, waiting for her punishment for when he got home. ((Okay.))
