The town is basically surround in a giant square wall. On the north side is the town guild. Inside the town consists of all the shops and the church. On the east side outside the walls is Veridian River dividing the forest and town apart from each other. Go up river, and there is a waterfall. If you cross the bridge, monsters, strangers, and animals lurk in the forest. On the south and east side is Draynor Bay. If you go out of the mouth of the bay there is located the Yulan Ocean.

The Waterfalls

User Image

North of Veridian Village, and on the Veridian River are Veridian Falls. The Falls are on the Great Cliffs, funneling the massive Veridian River into a large and deep lake that then transforms the flow of Veridian River into a slow and deep channel that flows out into Draynor Bay. The Forest Surrounding this area is vibrant with life, the grass is lush and green, and many different species of plants are found near the Veridian Falls.

This area is fairly secluded, but while visiting the area you will still find many animals use this as a watering hole. Visiting The Veridian Falls is brings you the perfect opportunity to get away from the village and be alone.

Draynor Forest.

User Image

Draynor Forest Is located East of Veridian. Here the forest starts on the east banks of the Veridian River, and ends on the Yulan Coast. This Small forest is more lush and full of life compared to the great Veridian Forest in the west. Here you will find small creeks that flow off of Veridian River and lead into marshlands, and further east the forest turns into sandy beaches on the Yulan coast and on the northern borders of Draynor Bay. North of Veridian Village, the Great Cliffs cut through Draynor Forest, this area is called North Draynor Forest. Here the Cliffs run north defining the coast of that area. Veridian River still will separate North Draynor Forest From North Veridian Forest.

Veridian Forest

User Image

"The Great Forest" is what some of the older villagers will refer to Veridian Forest as, for it seems to be endless. Veridian Forest begins on the west bank of the Veridian River, and pushes west for hundreds of miles. The Veridian Forest holds the major trade route out of Veridian Village, and because of its massive size, it is known to have Bandit camps, Raiders, Thieves and Monsters and Creatures of all sorts. Many parts of Veridian Forest are actually unmapped because of the inhabitants of those unknown areas. Some caves have been discovered that still have little known about them.

North of Veridian Village, The Great Cliffs cut through Veridian Forest as well. And again this separated area is known as North Veridian Forest. Here is the beginning of the Tempos Mountain Range that fills the mass majority of North Veridian Forest and stretches north west creating the border for the icy tundra of the great northern expanse. In recent Years this area has been known to have an increased number of Orc, Ogre, Hobgoblin, and Goblin sightings, and travelers to this area are advised to use EXTREME caution.

Places in the Veridian Forest include the Major Oak and the Forest Ruins. The Major Oak is a massive tree with a trunk 35 feet in diameter. Its the largest and oldest tree in the forest.
The Forest ruins are a small series of columns and stone walls, long abandoned by whatever race built them and now overgrown with vegetation.

The Cobalt Sea
User Image

The Cobalt Sea is the section of the Yulan Ocean bordered on the west by the Shores of the Landmass that Veridian Town is located on, on the South by the Bainulan Spires, and on the east by the Spears of Owilara. Merfolk, fish men, sea serpents, and other strange creatures dwell in these waters. Despite this, Ship traffic is common, which of course means pirates are common too.

1. Veridian Town: This is the main stage of our RP and where most of the more familiar areas and landmarks are located. It is the largest settlement in the Cobalt Sea

2. Caer Dradienaf: One of the first settlements on the Veridian Coast, Caer Dradienaf was the origional base for the Knight's Guild in the Cobalt Sea. When Veridian grew in size and strength, the Knights made the Caer a prison and relocated their main fortress to Veridian. Other city states and countries pay the Knight's Guild to house criminals here in the wilderness.

3. Lerford: a small fishing village that sits in the shadow of Elmundleah Bluffs, a series of rough, rocky protrusions and upheavals that make up a larger formation of reddish sandstone.

4. Bainulan Spires: These harsh, stony peaks mark the tip of a great southern landmass. According to popular rumor, here be dragons.

5-10. The Spears of Owilara: This Island Chain is home to monsters, pirates and numerous other mysteries, but lacks real settlement. Old legends state that, long before man took to the seas, a Titan named Owilara went out to hunt Malriche, a massive sea serpent that was said to devour whales whole. In the massive battle that ensured, Owilara stapled the serpent to the ocean floor, never to rise again. According to those legends these islands are the hafts of those titanic spears, and thus they are given their colorful names. Rocky and sandy, the islands have sparse vegetation, mostly palms and grass. More Detail to come as the Islands are explored.
