So what do you guys do for sparring (or in the case of a grappler "rolling") ... also what habits (good and bad) do you or your training partners notice ...

I find that if I'm sparring with a smaller training partner ... I focus more on countering ... as for larger training partners ... I work more on closing distance ... as for bad habits ... you always tell me I throw a lazy jab ... and I also make my stance too wide ...

It is largely dependent upon the style being practiced. When working my various Neijia forms, most of the sparring takes the format of push hands and demonstration. Capoeiristas will of course be familiar with the roda, which constitutes "sparring" for that particular style, and finally there is Krav Maga, which has no real "sparring" as such, but rather a carefully controlled fight with specific, MMA-esque rules in place to prevent severe injury. I'd give my eye teeth for some sword sparring, but the area in which I live is sadly deficient in this area (aside from a fascinating but very strict fencing club at the nearby college and the SCEA club whom I refuse to have anything to do with.)
On those rare occasions any more that I do spar, I find that I am (constructively!) criticized on a relatively frequent basis dependent upon the art I'm practicing. My Krav Maga and Taijiquan are fairly impeccable, but in capoeira I still frequently make rookie mistakes, and typically wind up on my butt for it. In my students, who are my most frequent partners I tend to make little corrections, "punch like this, not that", "try this kind of kick instead of that one", etc.

for my shotokan karate i try to stay at a distance and wait for them to come in that way i can counter my training partner says my bad habits are that im not aggresive enough and i always get offended by this considering i have 6 knockout wins and 5 submission wins

sparring is a very important part of any martial arts, if i find someone who is a martial artist i will spar them wherever, one time we sparred right on the sidewalk right in the middle of downtown, since it had been a year since we saw eachother ^.^ its also a very small city where i am so there isn't much violence there anyhow

I think my only bad habit I have is that I go 0 ... there is no half speed for me ... just full out ... and I kinda break my training partners ...

Well since I'm new when it comes to martial arts ... my habits will be rookie mistakes (hands are too low, no head movement, flat footed, flinching) ... though I am improving ...

Sure my striking is coming along ... but I tend to roll away strikes ... bad habit I guess ...

I generally feel content on pulling or staying in guard ... whether or not that is a good or bad thing ... I don't know ...

i enjoy sparing it is a way for me to tell what i need to work on as well as listen to what others say. i even out everything for the most part though and always keep my opponent guessing
things i have been told is i let off a small telligraph on my round house kicks but it is bairly noticed.
and where i need more work is my ground game in forms of grappling, sure i do grand at joint manipulations and im like a snake when it comes to holding a person but i need more range of tatics i can effectively use on my opponent

I jump around to much and tire my self out. To used to 1 point sparring a guess.

When I spar I end up doing push-ups, the reason for this is that I hit the sparring partner with a sweep. I not suppose to hit the person in Tae Kwon Doe sparring.
All in all I love to spar, haven't sparred lately because the dojo closed down because only two families were paying out of all the families. sad
I haven't been directly told things that I need to improve at but I figure that I wasn't disciplined enough to gain a belt level
