The fierce, damp spring storm had died down to a gentle and delightful breeze. It left a cool, almost liquid scent and feel to the breeze. Ali shivered, twitching her starry pelt. Blake and Branwen were elsewhere today. Branwen was probably off visiting her Lafayette, and Blake...well, Blake was probably preoccupied somewhere. Not too far, since he didn't leave Ali for too long these days. Probably visiting Viraj, come to think of it. Ali smiled. Viraj was a nice kalona, very gentlemanly.
Ali took a deep breath, closing her eyes as she inhaled, and slowly releasing it in a happy sigh as she opened her eyes. This afternoon promised to be a lovely one for flying, golden but breezy. She shook out her twilight wings and pranced a bit, the golden bell on her ankle jingling merrily. As she tossed her head a little and flicked her tail, Blake's wing feathers that she wore caught the light and glowed as they danced. Grinning and now in the mood, she moved quickly to take off for a good flight, not noticing anyone was watching her for a change.
