I remember those summers back in the late 90s. If I wasn't outside, I'd be bunked out on the sofa and tuning in to 'Nick in the Afternoon.'

'Nick in the Afternoon.' That summer block of Nicktoons hosted by that crazy popsicle stick, Stick Stickly. Well, inbetween his little bouts of shuffling around to get this grandmother a limeade.

They'd spin him around on a wheel to see what cartoon played next, they'd dip him in some substance that the viewers chose.

I loved that stick. I was highly upset when they took him off the air. Hell, I still remember his little jingle: "Write to me, Stick Stickly, PO Box 963, New York City, New York State, 10108!"

So, discuss:
-That popsicle stick
-'Nick in the Afternoon'
-Limeade

I actually didn't like stick stickly all that much. Not so much him, as the randomness of the shows. He was alright. But I liked knowing what was on when. TV back then meant a lot more than it does now.

I still remember the song too!

Didn't he move to Dallas, Texas and had a jingle for that too? Or was that something completely different and I'm just crazy?

Didnt' Stick Stickly have an older brother with a different colored nose and a nasal-sounding voice?

i seriously agree! I especially didn't like the randomness of the shows too. I didn't get to watch much tv and so it was nice to know when something was on that i wanted to watch in order to make the excuses necissary to go to grandmas in order to watch it. so it was difficult to not know what was on.

I loved stick stickly! Although he was weird, that's what was funny! I was too young to figure out that he was seriouly disturbed!

Tee hee, hey Aym'z ^_^

I don't know about the rest of you, but Face disturbed me more than anything. Yeah, that's right, I'm gonna talk about fairly old school Nick Jr. I think we can all agree, Face should die. His..well...his face always changed colors, so I'm not sure what color he'd bleed. Probably rainbow! =D

I hated Face, it was the scariest thing alive...

This blue Square face that had the worst voice.

Stick Stickly was the greatest piece of wood ever!
I remember, summer after summer, making my own personal Stick Stickly, completely with googly eyes.

And Face was cool, too! He led me through my Nick Jr. experience...
Him introducing Allegra's Window was the greatest feeling ever.
