Okay so it is my job to provide safety to our Guild and its members. Members of gOMG seem to be getting targeted with the message below which is a phishing attempt to steal your account info and hack you... Don't fall for it. I have now had 5+ people PM me asking if this was a real message and what to do plus I just got one which is why I am posting this. If you get any PM like this report it under the "Password Phishing" category. This is the only way to get hacked now days with current computer security so lets help put an end to this.. Remember Gaia Online Moderators, and Gaia Interactive Inc. Staff ALWAYS have a COLORED Name and WILL NEVER ASK YOU FOR YOUR PASSWORD!!!!!! EVERRandom PM Attention We are sorry to inform you that your account has been brought to our attention. Your account has been reported and needs to be investigated for further information. Like any other Gaia Moderator, we don’t really ask for this information but to clear your report we must. You will be asked a few questions to verify that this is your account. Please fill out the information requested. If you don’t fill out the information the result will be a 6 month banned. If you were offline at this time you will receive a reminder shortly. Username: Password: Email: *REMEMBER* TYPE YOUR PASSWORD WITH A SPACE IN BETWEEN EACH LETTER ! Once your account has been verified that is free of any faults your email provider will be notified. We thank you for your cooperation. Please so not submit PM reports for swearing, attitude, or issues not covered in the Gaia Online ToS. Additionally, please do not submit this form multiple times, abuse this reporting tool, or spam this form with meaningless information. Thank you for your cooperation. Yours sincerely, The gaia staff © REPORT 0282,1800,1 BB EDIT Another thing i remembered about pw phisers... If you are in a thread and suddently a pop out window appears and asks you to fill your information you must close that window and serch for a newb in the threas and report him! Generally they only say "bump" even if the thread is moving fast! Watch out for thse bitches because a lot of those pw phising actions are sucsessfull.
Love...BB
