"What a miserable day." Mumbled Esan to himself as he wandered through a forest. The rain was pouring and the trees gave no protection against it. Animals ran around, Esan yawned as he walked. He remembered what happened yesterday.
"You are to meet at the Guardian Gates with several others." Said the voice.
"Who are you?" Asked Esan, he scratched his head.
"My name is of no concern, I expect to see you there. If not, death will be the penalty." With that, the figure was gone. Esan snapped out of his flashback.
"Weird guy." Mumbled Esan, he looked into the clouds.
"Come back here!" Shouted Kikyo, running after a cat. She continued to chase it. "Are you leading me somewhere?" Asked Kikyo to the cat. It meowed and kept going. "You are? Cool!" Villagers watched as she ran and talked with a cat.
" 'Meet at the Guardian Gate' " Remembered FubukiT. "But why?"
"Who knows, but it'll be fun." Laughed Becca, pulling on his arm, dragging him through the mud. "We should atleast show up."
"But what if it's some weird trap? It was quite a shady figure."
"You think too much." Said Becca. "We are going to go see what he wants, then we can leave."
"Fine..."
"So...Boooored." Exclaimed Andrew, as he stomped through the muddy land. "But I must make it to the gate, for it is my duty!" Andrew cheered himself on as he stomped towards the gate.
"I hate walking through this." Mumbled Iruna, as she walked through the mud. "But what did that guy want? 'Meet at the Guardian Gate' he said..." She shook her head. "Oh well, I guess I'll still go."
The travelers got close to the gate. They then spotted eachother. "Hey." Said Esan, raising his hand.
"Why are you here?" Asked FubukiT. "And who are you."
"Hehe, some weird guy told me to come here. I am Esan!"
"And I'm Becca." Exclaimed Becca.
"And I'm FubukiT." Said FubukiT. "But you said someone told you to come here?"
"Yah."
"With a strange straw hat?"
"Yep."
"Ugh, so he's gathering people for something."
"Roar!" Andrew popped out of the forest, but fell face first into the mud.
"Ha!" Esan laughed as Andrew got up, mud covering him.
"Laugh all you want, but I was summoned here for a sacred deed!"
"We were all summoned here." Mumbled FubukiT, shaking his head.
"So is this the place?" Asked Kikyo to the cat, they arrived at the gate.
"Are you talking to a cat...?" Asked Iruna, following her.
"Maybe." Answered Kikyo.
"Cool!"
They all met at the gate and exchanged greetings. The shady figure appeared before them. "Woah! How did you do that?" Asked Esan, scratching his head.
"It's magic." Answered the figure sarcastically.
"So why did you tell us to come here?" Asked FubukiT.
"For one reason, and one reason only. Once you achieve this, you may get on with your lives." He paused and fixed his hat. "Well, a month ago, our King-"
"A King? What time period are you from?" Asked Andrew.
"It's of no concern." Answered the figure. "Now, as I was saying. Our King was killed by someone by the name of the Dark Lord."
"A Dark Lord? This kinda sounds cool!" Said Kikyo.
"Cool? He'd kill you with a single blow, unless you begin training."
"Training? Are we supposed to kill some Dark Lord?" Asked Esan.
"Yes, after all, you are the Chosen Ones."
"I like that title." Said Andrew with a grin.
"Is this a dream?" Laughed Becca, FubukiT shrugged.
"You must believe my words, and you must begin training immediately." Said the figure, his voice loud and serious.
"Ok, I'm in!" Shouted Andrew. "Hehe, going to save the world!"
"Sure why not." Said Esan.
"We're in too!" Shouted Becca, raising FubukiT's and her arm.
"You don't believe this do you?" Asked FubukiT with a whisper.
"Not entirely, but it sounds fun." Said Becca.
"Fine..."
"I'm in too!" Exclaimed Kikyo. "Because the cat said I should."
The figure sighed. "I'm in." Said Iruna.
"Alright, now I suggest you close your eyes-"
"Why-?" A bright flash blinded them.
"I CAN'T SEE!" Shouted Esan, as he ran into a wall. "Ow, nevermind."
FubukiT his shook his head.
"This is where you'll be training." Said the figure, he punched the wall. Green fired lined the walls.
"It's just an old room." Mumbled Andrew.
"You'll see." Said the figure, as he walked through a door. Gravity suddenly increased. They all slammed onto the ground. "I can't get up!" Shouted Kikyo, the cat meowed.
"Why do I hear shaking!?" Shouted FubukiT, as he slowly tilted his head up. A giant ork landed infront of them. It waved an axe into the air, letting out a battle cry. The group couldn't get up, the gravity was too much. It ork began to spin it's axe above it's head. It let out a demented laugh, then stopped swinging the axe. It raised it into the air, the gravity seemed to increase as the axe was raised. It grinned and slammed the axe downwards. Pieces of the ground were torn up by the impact, dust and debris filled the room. Not a sound could be heard.
