Dreamflutter thought that she had gone a little mad when she came to the familiar tree stump in the middle of the path. Had she forgotten her way? Clearly she had passed that same stump at least two more previous times. With a heavy sigh she slumped herself onto the earth with a fairly loud ‘thud’ noise. She had been traveling throughout the woodlands some time and came across a couple paths like the one she had been traveling on. She thought that if she followed the paths than she would’ve come to some sort of a civilization, but that was proving to be a failure more and more by the time. Instead she was getting more lost.
“We should turn around,” the little butterfly opened it’s delicate wings. Dreamflutter exhaled deeply and shook her head. “No,” she said to the Monarch. “Because we would just end up like we are now. Besides it’s almost nightfall and there’s no way I’m walking at night,” she said. The nameless butterfly nodded its beady little head and positioned itself between her two ears. “Lead the way,” it said in hopes of bringing up Dreamflutter’s courage and determination.
Dreamflutter stood up and stretched out her limbs before deciding to leave the trails since they were proving to be difficult. “Hopefully we’ll find some food along the way. I’m getting hungry!” she said out loud with a faint giggle. “Mmm…maybe some berries? Or how about some ripe apples! Oh boy!” the Monarch flapped it’s wings in enjoyment. Dreamflutter could feel her mouth drooling already as her stomach faintly grumbled.
