Remember when it was all light
No dark
Now I can't see
Because of this broken heart.

Break my face and
Sweep up the pieces
I lost you like a wallet
Now I'm paying for overdue leases
But it's my life

I'll make my own existence
I feel so tense, just let me be me.
I'm not like other special people
I'm not a faerie anymore
I used to never feel regret
Now, like rain, it starts to pour
Raining down from the skies
Like something gray and nothing gay
I feel as though I might die
I feel...human, no longer a fae.
My ears are no longer pointed
My eyes are no longer slanted
I feel like a witness on the stand
I feel I should've recanted
The defendant stares at me, his gaze unknowing
Used to be, my confidence was flowing
Now, I'm weak, timid, scared
Neither of us prepared
Like we're in a first kiss on a first date
Should this feel like it goes against fate?
I'm no longer a faerie
So I'm now afraid of the dark
Used to be, the only darkness I had to fear
Was the darkness in my heart
But now my heart is human
So warm and easily broken
By words that are lies and sorrows unspoken.
