Characters Handbook ALSO: Profile Creation Guide
First note that this is not a guide for people new to RPing to know how to fill out a general profile. This guide is meant to provide answers to all questions related to filling out the profile sheet for this guild. That means it will include what you need to fill out, what you should not fill out, and what you need to include. Thank you for taking the time to look over it.
If you have any profile related questions, ask them in the questions thread or PM a friendly moderator or member. They will most likely direct you here.

{ 1 }The Basics The things listed here are everything you have to include on your profile, with a little explanation of everything. The basics are basically what is on the profile code. Remember, you can add anything (including coding) you want to a profile, but you MUST have the basics!
{ Basics Rundown }
Name: This is clearly the name of your character. You must include the full first name and last name. Middle name(s) and nickname(s) are optional.
Appearance: At least one LINKED image must be here of your character. The appearance MUST BE A REAL LIFE IMAGE. Not sure what I mean? This refers to an image of a living (or deceased) person; no anime, no drawings. If you need help finding an image feel free to ask, or refer to this post for links to places to find good images.
Age: This is the age of your character. Over time, it can increase if you wish, however it can obviously never decrease. The age can be anything, so long as it's not so young that you cannot RP about anything over than pooping, and not so old that you can no longer move. Middle-aged and teenagers are popular choices.
Body Type: This refers to the shape of your body. You can use any tags you wish, though the three main types are Ectomorph, Endomorph, and Mesomorph. Look here to see what they mean. You can use any tags such as skinny, athletic, etc.
Sexual Preference: Does your character like boys, girls, both, or neither? Make sure to post it here so everyone knows.
Personality: Please try to be very descriptive here. Listing personality traits isn't good. The personality of your character is basically how they act around other people, as well as when they're alone. View the personalities on some profiles for examples.
Way of Thought: Different from personality, this is how your character thinks. No one really knows what goes inside their mind, but this helps. Think of it as "is your character good or evil?" but a bit more descriptive.
Hometown: Where did you character grow up? This is not where they are currently at, but where they were born and raised. This could be good for plot development, particularly if two characters are from the same area, or perhaps your character wants to head back home.
Current Location: This is the location where they are currently. It MUST be one of the locations available in the RP forum, and cannot be any locked forums. For example, you could start off in Anchorage or Washington, DC. However, you could not start off in Las Vegas because it's locked.
History: This is the background of your character. You really need to be as descriptive as possible here, including all major achievements and downfalls for them. Explain their family, their friends, where they went to school (if they went to school), if their parents taught them certain skills, etc. It will effect your SPECIAL stats.
{ Lists You Can Edit }
The other two things on the profile code you need to add in yourself is the "Items/Storage" section and the "Clothing" section. The "Items/Storage" section will just include simple things like a backpack, a cell phone, etc. "Clothing" is obviously the clothes that your character has with them. You should list what they are wearing and any changes of clothes they have with them. Just don't go overboard; typically start with a single change of clothes to start with. You'll have plenty of opportunities to find more clothes.

{ 2 }Lists Not to Edit The final things on the basic profile are things that you SHOULD NOT edit. These will be edited in by a moderator that looks over your profile. However, should you feel like they edited these things onto your profile wrong or unfairly, feel free to PM them or another mod.
SPECIAL Stats: These are the basic stats (yes, they were ripped right from Fallout). Each stat is simply a reference and a measurement of your character's overall strengths in those areas. These stats will come in handy often, especially with Skills. You are not to add the stats in yourself, as a moderator will add them in for you based off of your character's background and personality. Generally the total will be between 25 and 30, though in some cases it may go over or under that amount.
Experience/Training: This is a list of all the experiences or training your character has. If they went to college and majored in business, they'd have "Business major" listed. If they joined a wilderness survival club, then they'll have "Basic wilderness survival" listed. It's good to be descriptive in your character descriptions.
Weapons: VERY important; you do not add these in yourself! Typically a character will start off with one firearm and a melee weapon, though there are exceptions. The weapons you are given is based on what would be readily available, what your character might have taken with them at the time, and what they may know how to use.
Bills & Chips: You will almost always start out with a set amount of Bills, though on occasion you may start off with none. Typically the amount will be between $10.00 and $500.00, though like always there are exceptions. You will always start off with 0 Chips.
Event Items: This section will list all the event items you have been awarded. Typically these will be 'Holograms', that are simply items that give the character an award such as an amount of Bills, Chips, or something else. Sometimes they will be actual items that will be needed later on.

{ 3 }Finishing the Profile Once you have completely filled out your profile, you need to post it as a new topic in this sub forum. It will then promptly be looked over by a mod to make sure everything is in order and have your SPECIAL stats, weapons, experience/training and bills filled out. Once that's done you can feel free to edit the profile all you want, so long as you don't remove/change any of that information you had. Make sure to make the title of the thread the name of your character and nothing else. Please don't add any extra letters or icons/symbols in the title.
{ More than 1 character }
Having multiple characters is both alright and encouraged, as it adds more depth to the role play as a whole. If you decided to make a second (or more) character, what you need to do is post it in the same topic as your first character as a new post. Then, in the title of the thread, you need to put the name of this second character. You must put the names of your characters in the title of the thread up to your third character. Any character after that does not need their name in the title.

{ 4 }Mini-FAQ { Can my character be anything other than a human? }
Currently, no. At this point in the role play it makes no sense to have anyone alive that isn't a human. In the future you may be able to make a Diseased or a mutation, but currently only humans.
{ I got my profile approved but now I want to change some of the basics! Can I? }
Sure thing, just make sure to tell a moderator to let them look back over it. If you change it too much it could affect your SPECIAL stats and the lists.
{ When my profile was approved, a moderator added some things to the lists/alloted the SPECIAL stats in a way that I don't like. Can I change it myself? }
No, silly, that's why moderators do it in the first place! Sometimes you may not get exactly what you want, but even then you are always free to PM a moderator if you feel like you were wronged. Have something to add to the FAQ? PM a moderator, post it in the Suggestions thread, or post it in the Questions thread. We will sometimes add questions from the Questions thread in here at random.
