another question to add to the list...
why must "christians" feel that they always have to defend themselves???? ....ive been talking on a forum and they act like im crazy for not suporting their actions.... gosh, i just see another side to it... im kinda used to seeing the agnostic and athiest side since i live with those types of ppl....
seriously... geting kinda tired of the holyier than thou attitude from ppl... i catually comment and they get all defensive over it... maybe i'll just quit posting on here and keep my mouth shut...

I feel yuo are misunderstanding us. I am NOT holier than anyone. WE are in these guilds because we believe in the Trinity.I am sorry if some seem like they're on a high-horse. We are no better we just want others hear the Good News.

He called them snakes and told them they were going to hell.

here Jesus spreads more love while he rebuked the religious crowd for appearing to be good on the outside but were in fact inwardly wicked. -

Matthew 23:25
Woe unto you, scribes and Pharisees, hypocrites! for ye make clean the outside of the cup and of the platter, but within they are full of extortion and excess.

Christ is our example and we are to be Christlike. Christ loves sinners, but he hates sin.
We are not to sweetly embrace lies, we are to expose them . Anything other than faith in Jesus Christ is spiritual poison and as Christians we are to warn the lost, we are not to accept their sin.

Christ was always loving, but at times was harsh. it is not unloving to tell someone the truth. Christians are to hate untruth and are supposed to love truth. Christians should be negative about untruth.

as far as why others look down on people who have less - i would say it's because they dont understand that they are just as sinful as anyone else. they are confused about themselves and think they are, for some reason, better than others.

i'm not sure about your last question about why do Christians need to defend themselves but whenever my actions or beliefs are called into question, i will give scripture to support why i am doing/saying/ or believing a certain way.

please define what you mean by "holier than thou"

God wants His people to live Holy and be Holy.

Every and Any other belief besides faith in Christ Jesus is poison and will send people to hell.
