The last chapter is finally out, the end of an era.
Edward gave up his ability to use alchemy to get his brother back and there was happy endings for all.
I am glad that Scar and Miles are working together to restore Ishaval. Some real EdWin Action (did anyone see how tall Ed was at the end?)

I know, Ed was crazy tall!
I was so happy for Al! Honestly, I think I cried tears of joy at that point.
I just wish there was more LingxLan Fan and Royai! Though I did like the picture at the end of Ed and Winry and Al and Mei. And they had kids!!
I'm also really pissed that Mustang let Gruman become Fuhrer. What the hell!? That was so not supposed to happen. I mean, Gruman's awesome but seriously!

I almost cried when I saw how cute Selim was! XD He wanted to help the wittle birdie. whee Now, was it just me or was Ling just being a real unsympathetic jerk to Lanfan? I mean, she just lost her grandfather and all he could say was "come along"? Maybe part of greed did stay inside of him in a way...
Well as for Gruman becoming Fuhrer, I can understand. Mustang is still young and the public would not look to kindly on him because of what he had done in Ishval. In guess that he will stay in the military longer then take charge. wink
Seeing the end picture with Ed and Winry, with their kids, was too good to be true. Plus there was some Al x Mei involved.
Not to mention seeing now five or six year old Elicia was adorable.
I did bawl though when Pinako found Hohenhiem dead at Trisha's grave and the final picture of the two graves side by side. They did make it together...

*sigh* I suppose, but I really wanted Mustang to become fuhrer, and I don't care if I'm whiney!
And I want my cheesey romantic scenes!
So did I. I think I cried like, three times during that chapter. I was so happy when I saw how well Al was doing though!

AHHHHH!!!! I couldn't have asked for a more better ending. It was the happy ending FMA fans have been waiting for, I think :3 I was fangirling throughout the whole thing. The picture at the end showing Ed and Winry as a family was so adorable <3 And Ed was so freaking tall!!! I'm so proud of him whee

i cried for a few hours after reading it (okay more like a half hour but it was SO sad)
also, i was surprised that she made a relatively happy ending. over all im satisfied with the ending, but i just wish it hadn't ended at all Dx

the sweet far thing The fullmetal shrimp grew up crying Yeah =') I can't believe it's over. I feel, empty. And I'm too scared to admit that I'm a bit disappointed. The thing is, me and my group of FMA friends overprepared ourselves for the ending. We expected lots of people to die. We were SO SURE either Ed or Al would die for good. We thought Lanfan miiiiight die too, and we thought Scar and Hohenheim would probably die. (Oh yeah, Hohenheim did die. Whoops.) And we were also SURE that Mustang would never get his sight back, and we're not the only ones who thought that, I know. I loooved the beginning of the chapter, with Greed's passing. That was brilliant. But I should've known, the story had already pretty much ended, with the defeat of Father. Eijay And I want my cheesey romantic scenes! Exactly. WHERE. IS. MUSTANG. AND. HAWKEYE. They didn't get anywhere near the amount of attention two pretty main characters should have. I mean, Mustang has been 2nd or 3rd most important character for most of the series. Plus didn't get aaaany pairing action. I was expecting at least a close talk, if not a hug/kiss. (Oh yeah WHAT THE F*CK IS GRUMMAN DOING IN THE FUHRER'S SEAT *strangles him*) And Lin and Lanfan? Didn't get anything out of them (as a pairing) either. I expected Lin to be a lot warmer to her. I liked her request though. My wild imagination was expecting something like, "leave me here in Amestris." or "Don't use the Philosopher's Stone." or "MARRY ME" (OK wasn't so much expecting that one but it DEFINITELY CROSSED MY MIND QUITE A FEW TIMES) but what she said was pretty good. And I like how they're splitting up, Al going off to Xing. Al looks cute. So the things I'm satisfied (as pairings and as characters) with is Ed, Al, AlMei, EdWin, Hohenheim, Greed's death. Pleeaaase, Arakawa, don't leave these people to the usually inadept hands of fanfic writers and fangirl fantasisers. I know lots of FMA fans are intelligent, like most of you lot here, but still.

The first time I read it, I was underwhelmed. Mainly because my main ship is Royai and I can't stand Edwin at all. And Edwin was the ship with an actual ending; it really pissed me off.
The second time I read it, however, I realized how great it was. We didn't get a definitive answer to Royai, but what's great is the subtlety of it; one of the main reasons I fell in love with the pair. Like their entire relationship, their ending is simply nodded at. They're still together, though, and she's always got his back, like he has hers.
I like to think that after Grumman's death or retirement, which will happen soon, what with him being so old, Roy will take over and become Fuhrer, with Riza there by his side as queen. That's what I love about the final montage scene- there are so many unanswered questions that we're allowed to supply answers for. Why did Riza cut her hair? Why are there flags? Is it some sort of funeral?
I cried so many times; Greed's sacrifice to save Ling, Hoenheim and Ed's argument/crying, Al being back in his body. Even Ed giving up his alchemy. What really killed me was Lan Fan's "Let's go home." to her grandfather. I thought it was really touching. crying
Nothing can ever come close to the panel of Winry hugging the boys. It's the scene I've been waiting for since it started- Al being back in his body. And when it happened, it was as beautiful as I knew Arakawa would make it. Even the train scene was beautiful! This is coming from someone who can't stand Edwin at all. By the end of it though, the hug, it comes second to the Chapter 102 Royai hug. That will always, for me, be one of the most beautiful scenes in the manga.
I really love that Hayate had puppies! I don't know why this made me so happy, but it did! 3nodding

OMG!!! I want to cry because it's over! crying
I shed tears for the totally awesome Greed. He will remain a hero!!
Oh man, that part when Ling carried Mei was so cute! it's a brother-sister jerk moment I've always wanted to see!
I'm so happy that Al got his body back and Ed grew and HE HAD KIDS WITH WINRY! omg! who knew he had it in him?
I'll probably assassinate Grumman. He may be cool, but him being being on top... SUCKISH.
What I'm disappointed about is that there weren't any Ling/Ranfan there! I mean, pfft.. why didn't Ling make her his Empress at least? She's from a clan, so MARRY HER! T___T
What happened to the Royai pairing?
Srsly, 50% of the kanon parings weren't emphasized. Royai & LinFan
Oh well. I think that these unanswered questions' fates are left to the hands of the readers. That's what fanfiction is for, right?
