Dear FMA Guild,
I HAVE SOME QUESTIONS FOR YOU.
How did you expect FMA to end?
How did you want it to end, or is this the same as how you expected it to end?
Now FMA is over, what would you ideal (but realistic) ending be?
I talked with my best friend for 2 hours last night, and I would ♥ to know your thoughts on this too.

This is my response.
This is the ending I expected:
:: Lots of people die
:: Scar and Hohenheim die, with some meaningful last words
:: Either Ed or Al die, either Ed giving himself to truth for his bro, OR Ed unable to trade anything for Al because Al's died so many times now xD
:: Mustang never gets his sight back. Becomes Fuhrer, marries Hawkeye, always has Hawkeye with him because he can't see
:: At least a meaningful talk between Mustang and Hawkeye if not a hug or a kiss ~♥
:: Greed dies to protect Lin. Again, at least a deep talk between Lin and Lanfan.
:: Mei either dies doing something really noble, or says in Amestris
:: A cute EdWin moment. Like a hug.
After thinking this over, the ending I wanted is the same as the ending I expected.
My ideal ending would be a hybrid of my expected ending and the real ending. My friend said last night, FMA has such a dark storyline, a happy ending makes sense, to balance it out.
So my ideal ending would have the following changes to the real ending:
:: Mustang and Hawkeye get proper endings: Mustang becomes Fuhrer, with a definite Roiai rounding off, and a proper Roiai scene ♥
:: Mustang never gets his sight back. No sight makes Mustang as a character more interesting, and Roiai as a pairing more interesting - it makes Mustang need Hawkeye even more.
:: Lin is a lot nicer to Lanfan, and they have a deep talk about... the future. Or something sweet. More LinFan basically.
Those are the things I am most annoyed about the real ending. I would, however, keep Ed, Al, Winry, Mei and the Armstrongs' endings the same, because the were good.

I was HELL EXPECTING LingXRanfan..
But NOOOO....
it was shown that nothing was developed between them >__< stare
gosh, now I feel even more depressed. It's over, and nothing happened between them.
but it was ok.
I'll miss greed and kimblee. I'll miss ALL OF THEM! T crying T

Well, the thing with LinxLanfan is, nothing can happen. (Except an illicit love affair. Palace scandal. x3) But at least a proper talk or a hug would have been really nice x.X
