It had been 3 years since that day... Revien still seethed with rage. How dare she just turn on him like that?! He would get her. He would make her regret betraying him, make her regret taking his eye. He had tried in the past, and lost several members of his group. Now, only he and Achriya remained. Two, out of the original two dozen.

"Why the hell is she doing so well, why we're struggling to keep ourselves fed?!" He yelled out, just to hear himself. Though Achriya was there, it was no use talking to her. She wasn't even there to help, simply to 'observe' as she put it. He wasn't stupid, he knew Achriya had her own reasons to come here, but so long as she didn't turn traitor, he didn't care.

When will he just shut the hell up? Rhea 'Achriya' Byrne could not help but sigh. She had been wanting come to this place for quite some time, though not for vengeance. She could care less about the 'traitor' who Revien so zealously sought out. The reason she had was her own, though it was so great, it was worth it to even withstand Revien's idiotic ranting. Rather than make a rude retort about it, she simply followed him silently, keeping her eyes on the path.

"I don't even see what people think is so great about her, anyway. She wasn't that great of an assassin. It took her forever to get rid of her targets." He glanced over his shoulder at Achriya and rolled his eyes. He was sick of her acting so superior. It wasn't like she was any better than him.

“Mreh-heh-heh!” a high-pitched voiced shrieked. She had overheard the two of them arguing. If the situation persisted, the two of them would no doubt fight each other; that did seem incredibly amusing. A purple ember danced around the two of them, growing larger and larger and taking the shape of a woman. Suddenly, the flames faded, leaving in their wake a woman who was dressed in the fashion of high society.

“Children shouldn’t be wandering this place,” she cackled. She herself had no business being here, but boredom often does strange things to a person. Perched on her head was a crimson-eyed raven that squawked at the two aggressively.

Achriya looked at the woman and only sighed. "Figures someone would have shown up, with all of the racket you were making, Revien." She looked at the woman and sighed. "I can understand why you think we're children with big mouth over here being so loud, but we are not."

Revien was a bit surprised that Achriya had spoken, but he got over that quickly as he glared at the newcomer. Great, another snobbish woman. "I don't know what the hell you're talking about, lady, I'm no child!"

“Aren’t you adorable?” Morrigan said with boundless joy. She could sense the unforgettable magic of necromancy. Ignoring the one-eyed imbecile, Morrigan walked towards the young woman, her eyebrow raised curiously.

“What were you two intending to do?” She asked. “Sneak attack Alnette or something of the sort? You two would not be the first.”

"That's what he was planning to do." Achriya said casually, as if she wasn't talking to a complete stranger of unknown hostility. "I, on the other hand, have my own reasons for being her, nothing important. I could care less about her."

"How do you know Alnette? Are you a friend of hers?!" Revien glared at Morrigan. If this woman was a friend of the traitor's, he'd cut her down too.

“An intellectual pursuit perhaps?” Morrigan asked with a smile. “I think we will get along just fine.” She placed her right gloved hand on the young woman’s shoulder and smirked. “I am Morrigan Celia Achard. I occasionally antagonize Alnette,” Morrigan said, introducing herself ardently and mentioning her rapport with Alnette. She completely disregarded the one-eyed man.

"I suppose that's one way of putting it." She nodded, managing a polite smile when she looked at Morrigan. "I'm Rhea Byrne, but everyone calls me Achriya." She glanced at Revien, before turning her attention back to Morrigan. "I see. I never really knew Alnette that well."

Deciding to ignore the two women, Revien simply shrugged and started to continue walking. He'd just go ahead by himself, rather than waste time.

“Alnette and I have had several disputes. I once cursed her from entering her home. That curse lingered for days,” Morrigan said with pride. Cursing was an art, and she considered herself the Leonardo de Vinci of the cursing art. “But why are you two wandering around this dangerous forest? Can’t you smell the death that permeates all around us?”

For a moment, Morrigan glanced at the man who was walking away. He did not so much as introduce himself. His rudeness was worthy of chastisement, but she didn’t want to exert any of her energy on that lowly wretch.

“You will not find the baroness here, One-Eye,” she said to him.

"Now that sounds amusing." Achriya was obviously impressed. "We've mostly been sticking to the path, but this was the quickest way through. It may be dangerous here, but Revien over there didn't want to waste any time. It doesn't matter to me, either way." She shrugged. "Besides, I've been in worse places in the past."

"Where is she, then?" He turned and glared at Morrigan. How dare she call him One-Eye?! It was then he remembered he hadn't told her his name. "My name's not One-Eye, it's Revien."
