Glass vibrators? I didn't know glass could withstand vibrations without shattering.

My preference is towards silicone, glass, metal since they are all very safe materials.
Rubber, jelly, plastic, and cyberskin cannot be properly cleaned and tend to smell kinda funky.
There's a level of give that is okay. The vixen toys from what I've been told feel just like the real thing. Glass is great because it heats up to body temperature, or you could put it in the freezer for temperature play.
Glass toys are solid glass as opposed to hollow glass. Harder to crack.

As a guess, perhaps condoms should be used at least with the rubbery ones due to this cleaning issue.

I am BIG on proper sex toy care. If it's rubber then you should use a condom. The glass one probably can't be cleaned because of electronic parts now that I think of it... Pretty much to clean non-porous materials like 100% silicone, metal, and glass is by putting them in a pot of boiling water for about 5-10 minutes or throwing it in the top rack of a dishwasher. You'll have to do a pre-rinse with warm water to scrub stuff off and after use a toy cleaner.

D: That mark just means it meets European safety requirements. because of the electronics I don't think you can submerge it in water at all.
