When it comes out I am gonna dip into my little sister's college savings. She has like 2,000 gold.... 0_0 AHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH I PLAY VIDEO GAMES TOO MUCH
She has like $2,000 in there and she's only 10.

I'm not thrilled, OR looking forward to Skyward Sword....but I am looking forward to the remake of OoT! That's my childhood!
As for my dislike of Skyward Sword, its because the "cartoony" look takes away from the usual seriousness of the Zelda games (like how I liked Windwaker's story, but despised its appearance). I saw the trailer and the first time I saw Link, I asked "is that a girl?" To me, he looks VERY feminine and awkward, I just don't like it. I don't like the idea of mixing both Windwaker's look with our more serious looking hero, just....to me, that "fusion" made me literally cry. I sat there and stared at the trailer and started crying.
I showed my fiance, he just stared and went "Oh...Well....uh...." there was a long awkward pause before he added "That's...not Link, right?" when I told him it was, he just went quiet and sat down to watch tv.
He added in that he felt sorry for many Link fangirls shortly afterward.
I know there are people out there that are REALLY looking forward to that game, but...I'm not. I am looking forward to SS as much as I am looking forward to the Devil May Cry reset...
I hate all these resets for the new generation. Its like they just dumped our generation and forgot us...I MEAN EVEN KIRBY DROPPED ITS USUAL "FINAL FREAKIN' SCARY LAST BOSS" GIG! And Pokemon...Oh man, a lot of them look like they belong in Digimon or some other monster game... I mean, I kinda want it, but....
I am not looking forward to that many new games anymore, I just sit here and watch my childhood be butchered. Only hope I have now, is Epic Mickey and the OoT remake...
I pray to the heavens that at least some games will be spared the dreaded "resets"
EDIT: I do like the artwork of Link, just...not the in-game one.

Going in a new direction does not mean they are deserting the series...games have to be innovative to be interesting...
Skyward Sword's art is not meant to be "cartoony", as you put it, or a "fusion" of Wind Waker and Twilight Princess...It is based off of Impressionist style paintings.
That's why the coloring is the way it is. It's bright, instead of gritty and serious like TP, yes, but not "cartoony" I would say.
Saying you don't like Skyward Sword is like a Zelda fan from the 80s saying they don't like Ocarina of Time because its not the same as the others...I mean...every new game has to go in a new direction right? Or people get bored, the series doesn't move anywhere.
I don't know much about the other series you mentioned. Anyway...that's my two cents on the topic, but you are of course entitled to your opinion.
But I digress...yes, the OoT remake is pretty exciting.
edit; I apologize for ranting, I edited this post quite a bit after posting it, I get a tad personal about Zelda at times and hope you don't find me being harsh.

You two type too much. Oh, and cel shaded graphics are harder to make than dark and gritty graphics. Windwaker costed more to make than twilight princess. Just means that they are working hard and there is nothing wrong with that.
