Step one: Click 'My Gaia'
Step two: Click the little icon that looks like a gear.
Step three: Click 'Notifications'
Step four: Look under 'News'
Step five: Click the box next to 'News and Items'
Step six: Click 'Save All Changes' at the very bottom.
