I've been bad to my wallet this month, but good to my bookshelf. I've bought 8 books since the beginning of the month

Empress by Shan Sa
The Freedom Writers Diary by The Freedom Writers
An Invisible Sign of My Own by Aimee Bender
Poison Study by Maria Snyder
Reliquary by Douglas Preston & Lincoln Child
Night Life by Caitlin Kittredge
Stolen by Kelley Armstrong
The Awakening by Kelley Armstrong

And I've only read...two of them. Though I am reading another from that stack.

What have you bought/acquired this month?

My allowance usually goes tro gas, but it's summer and that means minimal driving!!! Unfortunately, I have to save for spending cash on my trip to Australia next month. Last weekend I bought Moon Called and Blood Bound by Patricia Briggs and would have got Silver Borne if it hadn't cost $27. I also bought the first volume of Ouran High Host Club for my little sister, which turned out to be much better than I thought it would be. redface I couldn't resist reading it after I got it. sweatdrop

I haven't bought too many books recently. I've been making good use of the libraries around me though (the school one when in session and then public). I've finished precisely 3 books this June while I am currently in the middle of another with three others in my home waiting to be read. Of course, I will be buying some new books withing a months-ish time.

I have the same problem. I'm glad Patricia Briggs and other authors are getting hardcovers, but I can't justify $30 on one book. It's why I've put off buying Silver Borne & some other rising Urban Fantasy titles.

I just got a bundle of YA books heart So I am a VERY happy camper (despite having zero time to do fun reading lately).

Beautiful Creatures by Kami Garcia and Margaret Stohl
Speak by Laurie Halse Anderson
Shiver by Maggie Stiefvater
The Hunger Games and Catching Fire, both by Suzanne Collins

It's going to be painful having these around and not being able to read them...!
