Do you have a specific number of books you are trying to read this year? A set number of pages?
For me, I'm trying to read 100 unique books in 2010. Right now, I'm at 67 books, in the midst of finishing two more.
What goals have you made? If you haven't set any, do you want to make any 6 month goals for the last half of 2010?

Originally I was hoping to read over 100 books, but I got off to a slow start. I am getting back on track, so for the second half of the year my goals are:
1. Read at least 50 books
2. Read at least one nonfiction book per month
3. Average at least 115 pages of reading per day (805 per week, 3500 per month, 21000 for all six months)
4. Finish at least 15 Stephen King books (out of a possible 27)

Those are very specific, and from what I can see realistic goals. I hadn't thought of averaging page numbers per day.

Last year I had the goal of reading 100 pages per day. That ended up being pretty easy to meet, so I bumped it to 115 per day for this year. Keeping in mind that's an average. In 2009 my worst month of reading was April with 1,715 pages (only 57 per day) and my best was August with 4,900 (158 per day). I have a lot of ups and downs like that depending on what else is going on in my life.

I had the same issue last year. My first year, and I wanted to read 100 books in 2009. I ended up hitting 93 or so. This year, I settled for 75, but it's June and I'm almost at that point already.
I do like keeping track of how much and what I've read.

I REALLY want to finish 100 books this year. I got to I think 54 last year so I am really trying to get as many down this summer as possible. So far so good, though I am behind in books compared to last year. I hope that can be remedied soon though.

I never really keep track of how many I read. I guess if I had any specific book-related goal it would be to finish reading the Lost Years of Merlin epic. Which is going to be hard because I can never find them. sweatdrop
