Contrary to the title being the name of a book, this thread is mosty my curosity at work! I have ALOT of animals living in my house, and I'm curious as to what kind of animals/how many everyone else has!
My house is: 1 story (excluding the basement we can only use for storage and laundry), 4 bedroom, 1 bath.
I own:
3 dogs (Black lab:Mizuni, German shepard mix: Savanah, Pommeranian: Simba)
5 cats (LJ-he has 7 toes on each foot, Thomas (after Tom from Tom and Jerry), Merlin, Daisy, Midnight) + 2 stray cats who visit our house for food (a very large siamese male also with 7 toes on each foot: 7 Toes, and a grey and white cat we haven't named.)
2 rabbits (Cinnamon, Buttercup)
5 ferrets (Monster, Chewy, Sophie, Leeroy, Beny)
1 Bearded dragon (Jack also called: Chamelos, Senior Frisky Pants by my friends)
1 55 gallon with about 8 goldfish and 1 10 gallon with about 6 small breed fish.
1 Cockateal (Sabastian)
1 hamster (George)
We currently have 8 people total living in my house with all these critters. (Myself when I'm not at college, mom, dad, my sister and her 4 kids ages around 1, 5, 6, 9)

 Save the planet...
That's a lot of animals...O_O
We only have...
2 dogs (Sandie and one of her sons, Tazz)
1 cat (Domino)
1 hamster (Ziggy)
I want another turtle, but I don't think my parents'll let me get one. XP
EDIT:: Since everyone's posting pet breeds and stuff, I guess I will too. XD Sandie's a half beagle, half lab mix. Tazz is a mutt. Domino's just a short-haired kitty. And I'm pretty sure Ziggy is a Robo hamster (not completely sure, but I researched him some and I'm almost positive that's what he is)

2 Pomeranian dogs (the fluffy one is mine biggrin )
1 HUGE Doberman
1 Rat Terrier (and super annoying at that)

I have:
9 Dogs [Constantine, Kohiro, Shiloh, Koji, Fang, Teddy, Lady, BeBe, and Ringo.]
Breeds consecutively - Black lab, Mix breed, Beagle, mix, mix, mix, mix, and Australian Shepherd.
1 Bird [Lexi]
4 Cats [Mr.Boogs, Enix, Madison, and Shiba.]
and 2 horses [Creed and Nugget]
And a deer that visits our yard every night.

We have 5 animals total:
A Black Lab mix named Mickey. We think he's part hound because of the little howling noises he'll make when he barks. Usual nicknames for him are Mickey Doodle, Peaches, Ding-Dong, and occasionally s**t-Factory when he's a bad boy.
A Silky-terrier mix named Bella. We're not sure what she's mixed with but she's kinda big for a terrier (about 30-35lbs). She's the cuddle bu of the house. Nicknames for her are Shaggy, Bella-butt, or Bella-bear. She also enjoys car rides and goes nuts wanting to go everyte you're about to go somewhere.
A Bichon-frise named Chloe. She is the biggest pain in the butt in the house and a total fufu dog. She will demand something from you in the form of a high pitched bark until you comply and even a Size 1 muzzle will not stop her. Currently looking to see if there's such a thing as Size 0.
We also have two-domestic short hair cats.
The male is a black and white fat-cat named Bandi who is totally anti-social and nervous most of the time. He will not come downstairs if the dogs or out and hides under my parents bed if there's a stranger in the house. He can be very friendly late at night when everyone else is asleep or if I let him on my bed in my room. I usually just call him Bandit-boy or Bandit-cat.
The female is a solid black and small as heck. Her name is Lucy and we're not sure if she's a runt or is just small. She's the baby of the household behavior wise and she's friendly as heck. She loves chasing bugs and will sit by the back door when we let the dogs out at night hoping some fly inside. We usually call her Lucy-lu, Lucy-cat, or Lucifer.
