"Mommy?" a young 5 year old Riku asked pulling on her mother's sleeve. They were in the hidden room under their small house given to her by the Elf King. "Hush my love you mustn't talk. You must stay here when I am talking with you grandfather, alright," her mother said quietly. "But mommy," Riku pleaded," I dont want to be in here. I want to play outside!" "No," her mother answered and left her in the room crying. I'm not going to stay here. Riku uncovered the secret passage she had made and escaped to the outside world.

Riku crawled back into her room where her mother was waiting for her. She started yelling in elven at her and grabed her arm," Why did you leave? You could have got caught, even killed!" There came a knock at the door above and she ran to it. Riku heard the loud conversation in elven her mother was having. "No please I beg you..." the door opened and two guard showed up and took Riku and her mother to the royal palace.

"Mommy why do we have to leave?" Riku asked her mother as they walked down the roads to the exit of the kingdom. " Because we need to go find daddy," she answered holding her daughter close to her side. People were now lining the road glaring at them. One of them spit at Riku's mother and Riku went for them. Her mother pulled her away and talked to her in elven. More spiting came toward them and a couple of rocks Riku's mother blocked her from. They headed for one of the outside towns to await Riku's father.

Riku sat quietly as her mother talked to a strange man who had just entered the hut they were staying in. The man was tall with dark red hair that sat on the top of his head messly. He had crystal blue eyes and wore a very strange suit of armor, nothing like the elvin armor. Riku sat there quietly till the man and her mother walked in, her hand in his. The man let go of her mothers hand and nelt down looking at Riku with his loving eyes," Oh come on Riku dear, dont you want to give a hug to your father?" Riku looked at him," What?" He looked at her," I am Caspian, one of the five dragonwhisperers. Dear girl I am your father." Riku took one look at him and ran out of the hut, leaving him and her mother alone.

A 6 year old Riku was playing out in the garden of her father's castle. Her mother and her moved in there and were living very decent lives. Riku had grown a little taller and her beauty kept growing it seemed. She looked up into the sky and saw her father's magnificent dragon soaring through the sky towards the castle. "Daddy!" she yelled with delight as she ran towards her father. She jumped on him, knocking him to the ground. He lauphed and kissed her on the head," Wow you are acting like I have been gone for more than two days!" Riku got off her father and went over to his dragon, stroking its head. It was a very young dragon, just stong enouph for Caspien to ride on. The dragon gently, but playfully tossed Riku into the air and caught her, flying around with her on his back while she lauphed and giggled. Her father laughed and yelled up to them," I am jelious, Riku. If I didn't know better I would say Ryuu is a better dragon for you then for me."

Riku came into the room where she heard her father and mother talking very loudly. One of the servent tryed to shoo her out but she broke past. "What has happened?"she pleaded her parents. Her father bowed his head and spoke in a quiet voice," The king has been killed and daddy needs to go and find out what happened, Riku." Riku's mother cut in," Dont tell her everything she is too young." He knodded to his wife and walked over to Riku, nealing down next to her," Daddy will come back as soon as I can, sweetheart." "You promise," Riku said looking him in the eyes. " I promise," he said kissing her on the head. Her father stood up and after huging and kissing his crying wife for the last time mounted Ryuu and flew away.

It was a cold, wet, dreary afternoon. A group of people dressed in elegant black stood around in the small grave yard outside the castle. The weather fit the depressing mood of the funeral taking place for the last Guardian of the golden age of Draconia. In the middle of the circle of morning people was a magnificent golden coffin. Two people stood over this coffin, both looking down at it; Caspien's wife and daughter. Riku stood in front of her fathers grave trying to be strong, like he would have wanted her to. Next to her, her mother colasped onto the coffin, crying her beautiful green eyes out, moaning loudly for her dead husbin. Riku stood there in her elegant black gown and hat watching her mother cry out for the person she barly knew. She wanted to cry for this man but couldn't, not for she did not love him but so she could be there for her mother. After everyone had left, Riku returned back to the grave of her father. She droped to her knees, covering her dress in mud, as tear fall down from her eyes. She looked up to the sky, feeling the cold, heartless rain drops fall on her face. "PAPA!!!!!!" she cryed out but no answer came and none heard her cry.

Riku was playing around in the courtyard just outside the castle. There was dark clouds in the sky and the wind was starting to pick up but she didn't mind. This was the only way she could entertain herself. Her mother never played with her since her father died a year ago (She is 8 now) and the servents were always to busy. "Miss Riku," one of the servents yelled franticly," Come, come..." Riku looked down from her spot in the tree she had climbed and yelled back," Dearest Koma, what is it?" The servent Koma stoped breathless," Your mother... it's your mother!" Riku climbed down the tree and looked at the servent with a worried look," What of my mother?"

"THERE MISS THERE!" Koma yelled pointing at a balcony once she and Riku reached the castle. Riku saw her mother standing at the edge of it, ready to jump. Riku stood there is horror unable to speak or move. " LADY... LADY DONT JUMP! KOMA BROUGHT LITTLE MISS!" she screamed up to her mistress. Riku's mother looked down at Riku and said four simple words that sounded like the whispering wind," Please forgive me, Riku..." Then she jumped. "MOMMY!!!!!" Riku managed to scream out but it was too late. Riku watched in horror as her mother's body hit the ground. She heard the sickening sound of the breaking of bones that echoed around the grounds. Riku ran over to her mother's broken body and cryed as the servents gathered and watched, speechless.
