Welcome to this little event. I would like to find a good home for this little basket and as she or he will be part of the infamous troll family and is rather special to me. Bane shall be helping me make my decision as well as a few friends if I need them ^-^~ I am looking for someone who knows a little about trolls in general or at least the Vitterfolk family. I would like this basket to go to someone who does not have that many in their herd, or even a newbie who I have seen around in the thread. RPing is definitely a plus as I have plans with this family that continue on through this point.

This event has three parts (Name/personality, Trivia and RP) and will go on until 2nd July. Each part is important but don't worry if one section is too hard, for example, some of the questions are hard on purpose. The answers can be found in numerous sources as well as my Teepee, my Plot thread, WoW-wiki and asking the 'real' Malis on WoW! Have fun with it and I can't wait to see the entries ^-^~

About OOC Trolls
Note: Malis comes from a herd somewhere in the Southern Americas. The tribe is known as the Darkspear Trolls however it is just a name and not a completely different race/species of Soquili. The kodos and crockalisks are actually just lizards and crocodiles and many of her customs are just that, customs. Her speech patterns and saying are cultural differences and do not promote anything special in her base character. She is a respected shaman in her tribe but in Soquili terms she is more like a spirit talker and can do minor spells. Malis has come to the Kawani herds to explore and find out about her northern cousins.

About the Vitterfolk family (The major players)

Father

User Image
Name: Sen'jin
Companion: Voodoo
Mother: Malis
Father: Kifo
Siblings: Rok'han, Kiua, Tai'jin and Zul'jin
Likes: Exploring, battles, shinies
Dislikes: Weaknesses, dis-honor
Personality: Sen'jin is a proud stallion who takes his heritage seriously. He is a bit of a mother's son and followed in her footsteps to become a shaman just like her. He does have trouble talking to the spirits as they don't listen as closely here as they did in her village but he hopes that one day he will be as good as his mother. He keeps his hair in dreads like Malis, sharing her belief that if he cut them he would loose his connection to the spirits. Whether that is true or not he does not wish to find out. Recently Ysiel, the young hippogryph he grew up with, has caught his eye. After an adventure in which a Kalona attacked the boundaries of the herd, she proved herself to be just as fierce as he was. He decided to court her, much to her enjoyment and now they travel together, exploring the world around the borders of the WillowGlen herd.

Mother
User Image
Name: Ysiel
Mother: Keridwynn
Father: Tempest
Sibling: Sturm
Likes: Meditation, stories, flying
Dislikes: Being rooted to the ground
Personality: Left alone by both parents after they went their own ways, Ysiel was picked up by the troll family and grew up with the younger foals. She found the shaman training fascinating and, while she doesn't have much of an aptitude with it, she does meditate and loves to think of the wind whistling to her as she flies their own way of talking to her. She developed a crush on Sen'jin and followed him around for quite a while. One day they were attacked by a Kalona and she did her best to keep the spiteful mate at bay. Sen'jin grew to respect her and vowed after that moment he would take care of her.

Grandmother
User Image
Name: Malis Vitterfolk
Companion: Zayll
Children: Tai'jin and Zul'jin, Sen'jin, Kiua, Rokhan
Likes: Fighting, pillaging, plundering, looting, treasure hunting
Dislikes: Water! prissiness, having her hair cut.
Personality: Malis is a stubborn mare who loves to travel and is a shaman in her old village of Darkspear. Once a respected adult in her village, she left after a childhood friend came on to her a little strongly. After he ended up receiving the position she had been vying for she decide to seek her own fortune elsewhere. She came to the Kawani lands to learn about the soquili there and ended up staying put. Malis and Immi created the Willowglen Herd and they live in a clearing in the woods surrounded by willows. Malis is very wise though she chooses not to show it, preferring to act a little more dense so that others will explain things to her easier. She is a good listener and is one to go to for advice though she does have unusual ways to explain herself. Quite fun loving and very social, the troll mare enjoys to chat with other soquili to find out what makes them tic and learn new customs. However her more negative traits had been showing through with her nonacceptance of the newer additions to the family. She did not forgive Tai'jin from mating with a Kelpie and the resulting children did not bare much resemblance to the Horde. Zandali ran away after over hearing Malis and Tai'jin fight about her birth and Tai'jin left to go look for her shortly after. Malis had become greatly introverted and grouchy, even to the point at snapping at the rest of the herd. Where once, the others used to come to her for advice, they started to shy away in fear of her unpredictable reactions. This changed, however, when she tracked down Kifo once more and went on a journey with him. The result was a very heavy troll which prompted her return. She birthed three beautiful children, who she was very proud of. She dotes a lot on the elder son Sen'jin and her youngest son Rokkhan made her fiercely proud when the birth of their trollish kids extending the family line. With their birth she has become a little more softer around the edges and she looked to the south to where her other granddaughter had disappeared. Maybe one day she will go on a spirit journey of her own to bring back her granddaughter, now accepting her as part of the family. Recently Malis has been calming back down, accepting the new comers to the herd with open arms. She has become more interested in what makes others different instead of protecting her own lines. With the growth of the Horde she has become more of the busy body matchmaker, matriarch of a strong and numerous family.

About the Vitterfolk family (The Horde as a whole)

User Image

While Kifo, Kiua and Zul'jin often wander further lands far away there are many of the trolls who still live near by. Tai'jin lives along the coast with her mate Icarus (something Malis is learning to live with) while Rokhan lives with his and their large family. Sen'jin and Ysiel play a big part in the safety of the WillowGlen herd as a whole and there is a smaller chance of their foals will travel unless they felt the need to visit the extended family of trolls.

Kerid and Tempest both live apart, Tempest in the high mountains on the very edge of the territory and Keridwynn in the forests, spending most of her time sleeping or sunning. For more info on any of the others in the family (that I own) you can check my teepee.

So... the moment you have been waiting for...

How to get your hands on this nifty little basket...

User Image

First you need to fill out the little form provided below. It will not be counted against you if you have never played WoW, don't know much about Trolls or you are not a Soquili newbie but it will help. Then I shall post a few questions about trolls in general, WoW, Malis' history and other random tidbits that I feel is important. This will not be a timed thing, I want everyone to have a chance to find the answers as I figure you will probably learn a little through searching *chuckles* After I'd like a little blerb or mini RP about the little basket in question. As Sen'jin is important to the Horde as a guardian, this foal will be raised alongside mine in the WillowGlen herd (probably by Malis like he was) so I am looking for someone who will be ok with that *nods*

For The Horde
Name: Gaian name
Soquili name: (please think of something 'trollish' as she/he will be raised in the traditions of the Horde, if you need help coming up with names WoW-wiki is a useful tool)
How many Soquili do you have now? (and who are they if ya wanna list them *grins*)
Why would you like one of the troll family?
If you had a Bokbok, what would you call it?
Do you play WoW? (Character, level, server? *'cause I am curious*)
In a short sentance give me an idea of this foal's personality: (You can give a separate one for a colt and a filly if you wish)
Any ideas for helping the plot along? (Either the main plot concerning Zandali's return or any of the others such as Rynn's or Solemn's)
Do you like RPing? (not completely needed 'cause I am a very slow RPer but it would be nice)
If you plan on breeding at a later date will you mind having Malis be a factor? (While Malis is the grandmother she is a huuuuuge busybody and will be watching her favorite son and how he deals with his youngsters. There is a good chance she may try and match-make in the future.)

Questions o' DOOM!

If you cannot answer all of these that is ok... some are made purposely hard while others are just for fun so you can learn a little about me and my favorite characters ^-^~

1: Where does Ysiel get her name from?
2: Who was the first soquili Sen'jin officially met that was not part of the family?
3: In Azeroth, Sen'jin was a famous hero, what did he do?
4: Who were the first true enemies of the Gurubashi and Amani?
5: Faire Malis belongs to a guild, what is the name?
6: In WoW what are the Zandalari?
7: Who did Malis teach how to fly?
8: What does Peikko mean and why is her name significant?
9: Why doe Malis not like her eldest daughter's mate?
10: What tastes like Candifloss?
11: Faire Malis is a Vitterfolk troll, what is special about her hair?
12: Sen'jin learned this game from his mother but what the heck is 'Hoof-it'?

Bonus: Hop on Sentinels and find Malis... tell me what guild she belongs to. Or as a second bonus, hop on SilverHand and track down Peikko or Crystaea and get them to say 'Hi!' (make sure you let me know who you are)

And a little bit of RP...

The last little bit is a small RP blurb. Please respond to one of these three prompts. You do not have to write a huge story but I'd like at least a paragraph or two *nods*

Prompt 1: Give me a short character description of the foal. How does he/she react around others? Are they proud to be in one of the best family lines around? Are they helpful and supportive to others, do they feel the healers soul within them? Are they aggressive and fierce, travelers at heart? How does he feel about his grandmother, his uncles and aunts, nieces and nephiews?

Prompt 2: Sen'jin has gone on his rounds to make sure the borders of the WillowGlen territories are still safe. While he is gone, Ysiel has been called away to help out Immi with a small project. You have been left under the watchful eye of your grandmother who feels it's high time you learn about the spirits. While your sibling is more interested in exploring, what is your reaction, do you stay with Malis and try to learn about your heritage or wander off to look for your father and help him with guarding the herd?

Prompt 3: You are out exploring with your sibling. Describe what a day would be like in the WillowGlen territory. Do you go down to the edge of the river where it flows into the ocean or deep in the forest at the foothills where your grandfather lives? Is it a quiet day or does something happen? Do you expand on your story as you tell it or make sure everything you say is what really happened?

Depawsit - 0/W*/3/ST Mishiki or Bom'Bay - Incredibly intrigued by the Shamans, this little foal is very intent on becoming as great as Malis some day. Even if that means trouble may come knocking along the way. - "Hey Gramma - let's say I ACCIDENTLY hexed this REALLY annoying filly ..."

YourxStarlessxEyes - 0/T/2/F - Zhenyuli - Zhenyuli (male or female) cares greatly for any animal or Soquili, and can't stand to see anyone in mental or physical pain, but hides it and puts up a tough front because they want to be a fierce troll like the rest of the family, and view such feelings as weakness.

SunFireDemon - 1B/W/1/T - Ai'Antu - A charming youngster with a heart for adventure.

Cricket2008 - 1W/W*/2/T - Shaka - He/She has a curious nature, to the point of getting themselves in trouble.

Pinchmonster - 1C/W**/2/F - Zilzibin or T'kelah - Zilzibin: Determined to be a shaman much like his grandmother. He truly desires to make his family proud.
T'kelah: Shy but sweet, fierce when she needs to be, she's very proud of her heritage and yearns to make a name for herself.

Selalusia - 1C/W/2/T - Nefir or Malaka - If a colt, he would be very proud, adventurous, rowdy, and protective. If a filly, she would be proud, caring and love her family.

Lysia_nyteblade - 1C/W/1/T - Sey'Tal - Colt: Proud and stubborn this foal would respect his father and try to follow in his footsteps.
Filly: This little filly would respect the spirits and attempt to learn the ways of a shaman though she may be a tad tomboyish and find more delight in bullying the boys she comes across.

Mahogany Sunset - 1.5W/N/*/F - Malaka'jin or Denni'ka - Colt: His father's boy - a guardian of the herd, protecting anything he can and to-the-death loyal. Of course, I may give into the temptation to give him the filly's personality if it's a boy... Filly: A rebel, running off every now and then to meet others outside of the herd and possibly get in a fight, alone.

Stormflower - 1W 2S/W*/2/FS - Kay'lith or Kail'Ran - He/she would feel protective of his/her family, and feel privileged and honored to have noble troll blood in their veins, and very caring towards all and wanting to solve everyone's problems. (healer of the mind, almost)

Azael_Rose - 1B 2U/T/2/F - Luk'tar - Luk'tar is eager to learn as much about their horde heritage. They're proud of who they are and where they come from, and that's clear to everyone.

Mameha Otome
For The Horde

Name: Mameha Otome
Soquili name: Atal'ai
How many Soquili do you have now? See my sig |D j/k
I have at hand 10 soq and 1 familiar - I know it's a little high for being close to newbie status, but I want to try biggrin
WoW themed: Al'ar, Telaar, Rageclaw and familiar Mr. Pinchy
Others: Ciro, Melon, Clef, Crescendo, Hiamovi, Tajahi and Guedes
Why would you like one of the troll family? I've rather always admired this family, the size of it and it's WoW themed. I'm an avid player so I feel I would be able to fit in rather quickly
If you had a Bokbok, what would you call it? Mr. Westfall~ (sorry high school joke > 3> )
Do you play WoW? Indeed I do
Alliance - Boulderfist - Jackleino (druid), Luciaredwolf (warlock), Sylvaer (death knight), Kaleii (mage)
Horde - Drak'thul - Madithun (priest)
Horde - Uther - Windyburn (shaman)
In a short sentance give me an idea of this foal's personality: Male or female - Very accepting and true to their heritage and always wanting to learn more.
Any ideas for helping the plot along? Uhm..none at the moment, my mind is kinda dead plot wise but given time I could come up with something
Do you like RPing? I do enjoy it quite a bit, but I've run short on ideas so my RP time has been cut short on me. Give me something to work with and I'm good to go
If you plan on breeding at a later date will you mind having Malis be a factor? I don't mind, so long as she's approving of another possible voodoo force for the yung'in |D Which I'm totally sure she is neutral

Gonna tiredly combine all the prompts...but RP as a filly because I can = 3= Hope you don't mind I'm using one of my own Soquili to help this, especially since she is a 'voodoo shaman' herself.
---
Atal'ai was just old enough to begin learning everything her family had to teach her, and from day one she was relishing every word that was said to her. She was close to her sibling, but wasn't sure of their intentions all the time. She herself was an explorer and often pushed the boundaries of WillowGlen, trying to see how far she could go before being caught and brought back home. However, Atal'ai's mind was also drawn to the words of her grandmother. The listening, learning and practicing of healing and voodoo were all different things, but all very vital to her homelife.

Atal'ai took those words to heart each and every day she spent with her grandmother. She had felt closest to her among the family, especially since her own parents were devoted to the protection of their homelands. It didn't mean she didn't love her parents, oh no, she just enjoyed the things she had to learn. Her little mind absorbed everything and led her to finally go try and see what their lands had to offer.

"Let's go. It'll be fun and I'm sure I can find some of these things grandmother always tells me about!" She happily blurted out to her sibling, who was more than willing to join her on the adventure through their homelands. It wasn't going to be a normal day though. Her father had been warned of a trespasser in WillowGlen, and both children were told not to go anywhere until the intruder had been found and dealt with. Being young, adventurous and curious, both foals of course took off into the forest.

A rustling caught Atal'ai's attention. She nudged her sibling and nodding to the brush and overgrowth nearby. It stopped almost immediately before a flash of pink passed their gaze, headed in the other direction. She couldn't believe her eyes. It was another mare, one like she had never seen compared to her own family, and she was carrying various herbs, bottles, trinkets and other such nonsense with her. Things that all looked familiar, or at least in her mind as she had only so far been told of such objects in their family.

"We should go, Atal--" her sibling began, eyeing the other mare with caution, who was now staring straight at them. "She's not supposed to be here...we need to tell father." Atal'ai shook her head and moved to step towards the mare. She had barely taken two steps before her father burst from the brush and nudged both foals back out and towards home. She managed to catch one last look at the mare, who became nothing more than a flash of pink back through the trees and back beyond the boundaries of WillowGlen.

elvyralani
For The Horde

Name: elvyralani
Soquili name: Vornal
How many Soquili do you have now? 7 (Sunako, Sirana, Topher, Bad Horse, Burryna, Unetsiwa, Thackery)
Why would you like one of the troll family? I love the idea of a giant family. They just seem so fun and interesting!
If you had a Bokbok, what would you call it? George
Do you play WoW? Yep! Elvyralani, lvl 80 Hunter, Night Elf on Llane(okay I'm alliance but I've always loved the trolls and belf)
In a short sentance give me an idea of this foal's personality: I think that the little foal would love to become a shaman or some sorts, looks up to all the family (especially shamans). They'd love to adventure around and meet new, interesting creatures and soquili.
Any ideas for helping the plot along? Urgh, not to much sadly. The foal would be up for helping with anything in anyway. Actually maybe travel with Zandali if she'd allow so!
Do you like RPing? Yep but I'm slow at rping too.
If you plan on breeding at a later date will you mind having Malis be a factor? YES. Since this family seems to be such a nice and close one, I think that Malis should play a part in it. biggrin

RP prompt:
Prompt 2: Sen'jin has gone on his rounds to make sure the borders of the WillowGlen territories are still safe. While he is gone, Ysiel has been called away to help out Immi with a small project. You have been left under the watchful eye of your grandmother who feels it's high time you learn about the spirits. While your sibling is more interested in exploring, what is your reaction, do you stay with Malis and try to learn about your heritage or wander off to look for your father and help him with guarding the herd?

Response:
Her brother wanted to go exploring, which was tempting. But grandma was watching them. She said something about talking about spirits. Vornal wasn't sure which she wanted to do now. Going to see their dad would be fun, but something about talking to grandma Malis sounded fun. The little mare decided to stay, she looked highly upon Malis anyway. In truth part of her wanted to be just like her! She looked to her brother, "Me brother, you go on wit' out me. I wan' t' listen to grandma. She'd be noticin' if we both be missin' you know?" She would but, it was this or tell him the truth.

It didn't take much to trick her brother anyway and he left pretty quickly. How ever fun guard the herd seemed, if she learned the ways like Malis, then maybe she can help the herd even more! Vornal went and found her grandma. "Heya grandma Malis? Can ya be teachin' me more about tah herd? I want to be hearin' about bein' a shaman too! Is it hard t' do? Can anyone becom' one, or does 't have t' be part of one?" The little mare smiled a trollish grin. "I wan' t' be just like ya!"

((lol, talking like a troll is fun))

Jinx Creed
For The Alliance

Name: Jinx Creed
Soquili name: Vai'ar Windstalker
How many Soquili do you have now? 7 (one is a usdia)
Why would you like one of the troll family? so i can take control of it... mwhahahaha
If you had a Bokbok, what would you call it? Benedickt
Do you play WoW?yep, i just joined a new server, Emerald Dream, my toon is a nelf druid Swira (low lvl cus i just started her), i also have a lvl 32 shammy dranei on that server. i am really waiting for the worgen
In a short sentance give me an idea of this foal's personality: I forsee Vai being raised by Kiarasteri, my nelf druid. Trolls will soon be able to be druids, so he/she can learn Kiara's ways. But Vai might try to make contact with his/her family.
Any ideas for helping the plot along? like i said, he/she will be raised by a nelf.... mwahahahaha
Do you like RPing?if the story line is good
If you plan on breeding at a later date will you mind having Malis be a factor? it would definatly make an interesting story seeing how Vai would be raised in alliance territory.

(i am just gonna say 'he' for now)
All Vai knew of his history was that he had been found by a Night Elf Soquili named Kiarasteri when he was still cradled in his basket. She had just started raising children of her own, and happily took him in. He grew up learning of the magic in nature, and the gift of healing. Vai always knew he was different from his siblings, and wondered of his true family. He planned when he was old enough to search for them, and discover why he had been abandoned.
Vai is very strong in character, even though he was seperated from his family. He believes there was a reason he was raised by Kiara. He loves to go out on his own hoping to find someone in need of assistence. Being raised by a druid, Vai is very aware of the animals around him.

Jynk
For The Horde

Name: Jynk
Soquili name: Jin'thavori
How many Soquili do you have now? 7: Illidan, Ghostpaw, Algalon (still in progress), Darkspine, Swimdeep, Miyako, and Hephaestion
Why would you like one of the troll family? I've always loved the Soquli troll family's rps and they're interesting characters. A member of the troll family would fit right in with the other WoW-themed Soqs in my herd and I could see some interesting plots coming about with them.
If you had a Bokbok, what would you call it? Zol'jojo
Do you play WoW? I do, but not lately due to lack of funds. My last character was about 76, I think, and on Moonguard (or some such RP server). I usually play trolls or tauren, but do have the odd draenaei and blood elf, too. I like trying out the different races for different rp concepts.
In a short sentance give me an idea of this foal's personality: Jin is prideful and fierce, reveling in her heritage of shamanism and spirit-talking. While raised in the troll family, she does have some influence of her northern kin as well, mixing some of those traditions with those she grew up with.
Any ideas for helping the plot along? Perhaps Jin could meet Zandali and play a role in her return. I am not as familiar with the other plots.
Do you like RPing? Absolutely! I put roleplaying as a priority in deciding what to do with my Soqs--for example, their breedings will never be flings, they have to have mates who they have an rp'd relationship with. It also helps in developing the Soq's character, too.
If you plan on breeding at a later date will you mind having Malis be a factor? I don't mind Malis being a factor. I think her match-making would be hilarious for rp, especially with Jin looking up to her grandmother so much.

RP Prompt

Prompt 1: Give me a short character description of the foal. How does he/she react around others? Are they proud to be in one of the best family lines around? Are they helpful and supportive to others, do they feel the healers soul within them? Are they aggressive and fierce, travelers at heart? How does he feel about his grandmother, his uncles and aunts, nieces and nephiews?

(For this purpose, I'll have Jin be a mare.)

Jin'thavori tilted her head, watching the herd. She was aware that, at least in her mind, they were a rather important family around these parts and that was something to be proud of. She'd grown up with the stories of her grandmother coming from the southern countries to live among the Kawani and bring a new kind of spirit-talking to them. She also knew that her family was special in their both physical traits and beliefs, that they could be fierce warriors at the same time as holy shamans.

It was much to live up to in the family, but Jin did alright, or at least she hoped. She'd heard that being strong was prized in the herd and so she'd learned to fight, asking her father to teach her to be fierce and protective like himself. On lazy days, she liked to lie at her grandmother's hooves and listen to her stories and lessons, learning to talk with the spirits and to have pride in her family's ways.

There were a lot of Soquili in her family: uncles, aunts, cousins, parents, grandparents, and some extended families Jin had yet to meet. One could get lost amongst the large herd, so the mare had began looknig for ways to stand out and be noticed. She found a liking for the shamanistic ways, but she wanted to learn other ways of communicating with the spirits around her. She'd taken lessons from the northern Soquili that were rumored to know about the spirits and learned that their ways were different than her family's, but still the same, too. Hoping to not only better her understanding of shamanism, but to be unique in her family, Jin studied the Kawani version of shamanism and tried blending it with the traditions of her herd... sometimes with disappointing results, other times with interesting results. Not sure how her family would react, Jin decided to keep these lessons a secret for now.

Tilting her head back the other way, the mare sighed, watching her sibling trot along after their father. Perhaps being a great shaman could wait for now. Starting forward, she decided to join in on her sibling's lessons of protection. What good would traditions be without being able to defend what you believed in?

Lita Rutherford
For The Horde

Name: Lita Rutherford
Soquili name: Ejin'jin (I made it up. o.o;; hope thats ok)
How many Soquili do you have now? 15 (counting 3 co-owns which all have various levels of ownership)

Glow Heart, Antirr, Rifera, Forest, Squeeks, Alon, Kissy,'Enakai, Mian, Crea Tion, Mr. Wookie, Bacon, Ziva, Nalani, and 1 basket on the way.

Why would you like one of the troll family? The whole family is perhaps one of the most unique and beautiful I have ever seen, both in physical appearance and in general concept. Least I think its pretty unique. I don't have a huge knowledge base for trolls or WoW things but I've become vary interested in WoW since the event and anything even remotely mythical catches my interest and I love learning more and more. So while I don't know much at this moment, I'm sure soon enough I'll know as much as I possibly can! So yeah, they are a beautiful family, and I would love to learn more about the diffrent things that make them unique.
If you had a Bokbok, what would you call it? Eznit, donno what that is but that sounds like a good name.
Do you play WoW? No money, but when I can afford it, and have a computer that can store it, I plan on having a Tauren Hunter or Druid as my main. I love me some Tauren. Oh and For the Horde! hehe
In a short sentence give me an idea of this foal's personality: He/She would be vary attached and interested in the ways of his/her father and grandmother, inheriting the seriousness Sen'jin holds towards his heritage.
Any ideas for helping the plot along? I could see Ejin'jin, while in the curiousness of foal-hood, approaching Malis, questioning her about the rest of the family and herd in an attempt to try and be like her. Perhaps this could help Malis soften further, teaching her ways of thinking to an eager child of her favorite son and making her think about her extended family. Ejin'jin could also show some dislike, once more while still a foal, to those who are not troll like and lack traits he/she admires in his/her father and grandmother. This could, perhaps, give Malis a sort of "seeing herself in someone else" experience and maybe spur her to start a journey to find and bring back Zandali.
Do you like RPing? Yes, a lot. I can be slow to, so I don't mind slow at all! But I'm always up for an RP.
If you plan on breeding at a later date will you mind having Malis be a factor? I'd love it if Malis matched her/him up in the future, and it would also work well with the foal's personality.

RP Response - Reply to Prompt 2 - Sen'jin has gone on his rounds to make sure the borders of the WillowGlen territories are still safe.

Assuming a Male for this reply

Quietly the blue and purple colt watched his mother hurry off to the aid of that mare Immi. His little heart hurt a bit as he saw his mother hurry off. He had hoped today they would spend time playing. But there was work to be done. Father was off, making his rounds as usual. And now Mother was missing from his general surroundings. His eyes turned to the other foal, his beloved sibling, before they traveled to the, to be honest a bit frightening, mare that loomed over them. Grandmother. She was saying something... Learning of their heritage! The colt's heart jumped, racing along at top speed suddenly at the pure joy this news brought. He turned his head to share his excitement with the other and found where his sibling had been moments before, they were no longer. In fact, as he scanned the area, a bit of tail disappeared behind the treeline. Father had gone that way earlier. Ejin'jin let out a little snort and shook his head. Honestly who would want to miss out on this! He didn't understand that wandering, adventure prone mind of his sibling. A noise and he remembered that his dear grandmother was still there, and she did not look to pleased to be honest. "My apologies, grandmother." He bowed his head. "I din't mean ta daze." He smiled up at her. As she began to walk away he followed dutifully, listening as she spoke, nodding once in a while to her words. He just wanted to skip and dance and run as he listened to her. While he knew little, what he did know had caused his ever waking moment to be filled with the desire to follow his grandmother's footsteps. To be great like her was his greatest wish.

And so, as Malis spoke to him, telling him of the spirits, of his heritage, he listened intently. Not once did he tune out. Not once did his eyes wander from the troll mare in front of him. Not once did he even wonder where his sibling had gone or what his parents were doing now. The mare in front of him was his world and her words his music.

By the time his parents returned that night, and his sibling had re-appeared, his head was a-buzz with his grandmother's lesson. As they settled in to sleep he mumbled parts of what she had told him, trying as hard as he could to let not a word slip from his memory.

kaliskanny
For The Horde

Name: Kaliskanny
Soquili name: Zufli ("baby witch", corruption of the voodoo master prefix, "zul". It is a derogatory term for female witch doctors, but some females have taken on the title as a mark of pride.)
How many Soquili do you have now? I'm almost ashamed to admit...but I have 13 (five of them are co-owned). Icarus, Tooki, Jame, DeathWitch, ScullCat, Mr. Cadaver, Maggot, Architeuthis, Jem, Rainbow Star, Alda, Zenstar, and Swamp Eye Jarl.
Why would you like one of the troll family? I have Tooki (and Icarus if he counts.) I would love to be more involved in the troll family, in various plots that do not concern Tooki.
If you had a Bokbok, what would you call it? Dinner (i wouldn't eat it...i just like names like that.)
Do you play WoW? Zenstar on Runtotem, i forget the level. My accoutn has lapsed and my video card keeps crashing my game. (in other words, can't play at the moment)
In a short sentance give me an idea of this foal's personality: Growing up and following in grandma's footsteps to be a shaman.
Any ideas for helping the plot along? I'm not sure how much help I'd be...but I would like to have Zufli be a part of the plots, or be there for them. (As well as Tooki too.)
Do you like RPing? Yes, when I have the chance. I'm a slow rp'er too.
If you plan on breeding at a later date will you mind having Malis be a factor? I would love to have Malis involved. I am still amused about her as far as Icarus and Tai'jin.

And a little bit of RP...
[Prompt 2: Sen'jin has gone on his rounds to make sure the borders of the WillowGlen territories are still safe. While he is gone, Ysiel has been called away to help out Immi with a small project. Zufli was a little upset about being left with her grandmother while her parents were busy. She really wanted to go explore with her sibling, but something had caught her interests. Malis was talking to the spirits. It seemed almost like an argument...was grandmother crazy?

Zufli tilted her head, then looked around to try and see who Malis might be talking to. Apparently something was causing the cooking fire to sway it's smoke into her grandmother's face, and she was quite angry with it. The foal couldn't see anything....but she wanted to.

When the older mare was done yelling at...whatever it was...and the smoke was behaving, the filly stood. she walked over to Malis and looked up at her. "Grandma....can you teach me to yell at spirits too?"

Name: Depawsit
Soquili name: Mishiki [ Female - originates from the herbalism trainer in Durotar ] Bom'Bay [ Male - originates from a little witch doctor in training in Durotar ]
How many Soquili do you have now? 0, but maybe this is my lucky chance :3
Why would you like one of the troll family? This family has always caught my eye while lurking in the shadows, it's very well developed, and the idea of introducing a foal into a herd from the beginning, and that the family is so well developed. The fact that I love WoW, and trolls as a whole has a little to do with it, but i'm more intrigued by the family aspect and the RP involved. AND ALSO SHAMANISM?! SQUEE :3
If you had a Bokbok, what would you call it? Taito
Do you play WoW? YES =D But i'm an Ally more than a Hordie, mainly because of my boyfriend and our buds all being Ally's :[

Pawsie: Nelf Feral Druid - 80
Anastasis: Draenei Ele/Resto Shammy - 80
Soliku: Tauren Boomkin - 80 [[ SHE WANTS TO BE A TROLL ALREADY D: ]]
Nirvela: Gnome Ice Mage - 74
Ioselle: Nelf Disc Priest - 38
Wenli: Human Pally - 48
[[ The list goes on and on :p ]]

In a short sentance give me an idea of this foal's personality: Incredibly intrigued by the Shamans, this little foal is very intent on becoming as great as Malis some day. Even if that means trouble may come knocking along the way. - "Hey Gramma - let's say I ACCIDENTLY hexed this REALLY annoying filly ..."
Any ideas for helping the plot along? None at the moment, but i'm sure given time I could come up with a few ideas.
Do you like RPing? LOVE IT
If you plan on breeding at a later date will you mind having Malis be a factor? Malis would make the perfect fit into a match maker with this foal, I can see the possibilities now, and it'd be really fun to play out.

[[ Assuming it's a filly for this one ]]

With sorrow in her eyes the young female watched once again as her parent disappeared once more for another emergency. Secretly it hurt the female to watch her parents in constant action, never having a free moment to play Hoof It, or even to tell her the stories of the past. But then again, she always had her Gramma Malis for that! Her heavy heart lightened at the thought of another day spent learning the lessons of the Shaman. Maybe today would finally be the day she could break her Grandmother down, maybe today she could begin her journey!

With a bit of a skip in her step, Mishiki charged straight to the small clearing her sibling had been in just moments before their Mother's disappearance -

"Hey brother - Let's go se-"

Abruptly halting in her tracks the female noted that her brother had disappeared just as their Mother had, and surprisingly it took her a moment to realize where he'd most likely gone off to. With a shrug the female pulled her attention to more pressing matters, "HEY GRAMMA!"

The filly quickly put the spring back into her step and begin following the voices and wisps of smoke through the forest clearing, this would definitely take her where she wanted to be, and sure enough as she pushed her away through a dense brush, she caught a rare glimpse that took her breath away.

Standing in the clearing, her dreads hanging freely from her beautiful mane, stood the filly's Grandmother, her face held an expression that made her appear to be very far away in thought, and her hooves were moving fiercely across the dirt beneath her scribbling something as she mumbled some strange incantations under her breath.

With a broad grin stretching across her face, and a new found twinkle in her eye, the filly sat down within the brush and watched the sacred ritual in it's entirety, determined to not miss a single mumble that her Grandmother would speak.

YourxStarlessxEyes
For The Horde

Name: YourxStarlessxEyes
Soquili name: Zhenyuli (hope it's "trollish" enough)
How many Soquili do you have now? None
Why would you like one of the troll family? Haha, why not? They actually kind of remind me of my dad's side of the family (it's huge like WOAH and they're all crazy). I'd really enjoy developing a foal out of all the plots and personalities that already exist, and it seems like there would be tons of opportunities to plot and RP with fun characters.
If you had a Bokbok, what would you call it? Deslin
Do you play WoW? Um, haha, kind of. I have a level 10 Tauren hunter, Mitoradi, (don't remember the name of the server), but I only did the ten day trial because the WoW event got me so interested. Now that I have a job, though, I'm hoping to be able to pay so I can get back on.
In a short sentance give me an idea of this foal's personality: Zhenyuli (male or female) cares greatly for any animal or Soquili, and can't stand to see anyone in mental or physical pain, but hides it and puts up a tough front because they want to be a fierce troll like the rest of the family, and view such feelings as weakness.
Any ideas for helping the plot along? I thought of Zhenyuli listening to old stories from from his/her father and hearing mention of Zandali in a story about Tai'jin. Zhenyuli naturally wants to know who Zandali is, and why she doesn't live with the clan now. Sen'jin kind of skirts the issue, because he doesn't want to upset Malis, but Zhenyuli keeps asking, and eventually comes to Malis about it. Even if Malis doesn't answer the questions directly, Zhenyuli just keeps asking why Zandali's gone, and when they'll get to meet her. They don't understand why she "doesn't belong" if she's related to the clan. Zhenyuli wouldn't be mad at Malis, just unable to comprehend why she didn't like Zandali, and concerned she could be hurt or in danger, which could prompt a revelation, journey, reconnection, or what have you.
Do you like RPing? Yes, I love it. ^_^
If you plan on breeding at a later date will you mind having Malis be a factor? Of course! That just sounds like complete fun and chaos.

(Portrayed as male here)

Zhenyuli was excitedly out for the day with his sibling to go exploring. They had decided earlier to wander through the forest to where grandfather lived. Even if they didn't make it there before they had to come home, it would still be a fun exploration.

Once the two reached the edge of the denser forest, Zhenyuli raced ahead, plunging headlong into the forest. He felt the need to be a fierce little foal who could make his family proud, so he was constantly trying to be the fastest, bravest, even the most reckless. It wasn't that he wanted to be overly competitive, or that he wanted to be better than his sister, who was quite fierce herself, maybe even more so than him, but the little troll had all the fire in him of a person trying to compensate for something.

"Brother! Slow down!" yelled the filly behind him. Once Zhenyuli slowed down and his sister caught up, she butted his head playfully at his competitiveness. As the two approached where their grandfather lived, they saw a small, furry lump in their path. It was a small rabbit that had been attacked by some type of predator. While it was alive now, it wouldn't be for much longer.

Zhenyuli's heart hurt for the little animal, and he nudged it carefully off the dirt path, into the cool shade of a bush. There was nothing else he could do for the little animal, as the colt was young and not yet versed in the ways of the healers. Up ahead, his sister scoffed.

"What are you doing, Yuli? It's just a stupid rabbit, nothing to cry over! Let's go!" Zhenyuli bristled at the comment and thought quickly of a response that would make him look good. "It's spirit belongs to this world as much as ours," he said sternly, "and we must always treat spirits and creatures with respect." The colt smirked, feeling smug at his superior answer that would make him look like he properly listened to his grandmother's lectures, instead of looking weak and girly.

And this was exactly how Zhenyuli portrayed it to his grandfather when they saw him, nervously keeping out any motivations that had to do with the caretaker feeling always bubbling in him.

Response

When their father left to go on his rounds, her brother did his usual round of whining to go along. But he was again left behind. Shaka had a curious nature, but the territory borders didn't interest her this morning. She wished that Sen'jin would have taken his son with him. His whining annoyed her.

Later, their mother left on errand of aid and again, despite his pleas, her brother was left behind. Having enough of her brother's pouting, Shaka went in search of Malis. Leaving her brother to watch for the return of their parents, she found their grandmother pawing symbols into the earth. Shaka quietly watched, not wanting to disturb the magic workings of her grandmother.

The blue mare looked up, her red locks tumbling down her neck. The expression in her red eyes told Shaka that Malis was not surprised to see her. Shaka found everything about her grandmother fascinating. Especially her knowledge of talking to the spirits. “Teach me,” Shaka whispered. Malis smiled and nodded.

Do you like RPing? Absolutely!
If you plan on breeding at a later date will you mind having Malis be a factor? I would LOVE it if Malis would matchmake! In fact, I demand it. :3

T'kelah was almost thankful when she was left alone with her grandmother. The filly hungered to learn more about her family history, the past, her heritage. There was nothing more important or prideful to T'kelah than learning more about her large family. Here and now she had the opportunity to learn about the spirits, and T'kelah wasn't about to let it slip away.

Though guarding the herd was extremely important, T'kelah's soul hungered to be one with the spirits. She felt her grandmother's wise words and teachings were the only way to accomplish this. The filly had no desire to wander off in search of her father in order to help him guard the herd.

Watching her sibling wander off, T'kelah moved back towards her grandmother. "Gran'ma," She murmured to the attentive Malis, "I be tinkin' I'm ready ta learn da ways of da spirits." Her accent was strong; she wanted to be JUST like grandma. "Can ya teach me now?"

In a short sentance give me an idea of this foal's personality: (You can give a separate one for a colt and a filly if you wish) If a colt, he would be very proud, adventurous, rowdy, and protective. If a filly, she would be proud, caring and love her family.
Any ideas for helping the plot along? (Either the main plot concerning Zandali's return or any of the others such as Rynn's or Solemn's) Well involving this foal, I'd expect it would be curious about it's family's history and ask lots of questions. Wanting to know about all the family and such. I don't know how much that would help, but I'd love to get involved in plots. I love plotting!
Do you like RPing? Yes! I love to rp... xD I don't mind slow responses. But I love involving myself in rp as much as possible.
If you plan on breeding at a later date will you mind having Malis be a factor? I think it'd be cute. If it is a filly, she'd love to have her grandmother involved as much as possible. If it is a colt, he'd be embarrassed and try to get her to leave him alone, but all the while secretly liking her involvement.

RP Blurb
Prompt 2 with a little bit of prompt 1 :

Filly - Malaka danced around on her hooves, unable to stand still. She was excited, perhaps a bit too much. She loved her grandmother, looking up to the older female with awe and respect. Malaka had always felt that her grandmother must be the smartest in the land. However, lately Malaka hadn't been allowed time to hear her grandmother's stories, and she was more than ready. Malaka had always been interested in her family and knowing everything about them. Especially the ties Malis had with the spirits. It simply fascinated Malaka. She herself wanted so badly to be just like her grandmother.

Colt- Nefir snorted as he breathed out and pawed at the ground. Why did he have to be stuck here like a helpless filly. He was brave, he was strong.. and he wanted to help is dad! He loved his grandmother very much, and loved hearing her stories, but there was nothing like patrolling and exploring. His dream was to fight off some terrifying beast and save his family. So to be stuck here, left behind.. was torture. He desired to be a fierce warrior, protecting his family and friends. He sighed as he settled down, deciding he best listen to his grandmother. In the end, he becomes entralled in what she has to say, unable to take his attention off of her.

Filly: This little filly would respect the spirits and attempt to learn the ways of a shaman though she may be a tad tomboyish and find more delight in bullying the boys she comes across.

Prompt 2:

Eagerly the foal pranced in place as his grandmother looked him over. His sibling had wandered off to explore which left him to have the wisdom of the older mare all to himself. Relishing in the knowledge he was about the gain, he nudged malis with his nose. "Grandmother... What shall I learn first? And how will I know when the Spirits are talking to me? will they whisper? Or shout?" His ears wiggled about and his body trembled with the excitement he held within though obviously it was leaking out all over the place because he just couldn't set still for more than a few seconds. Taking a deep breath, he finally forced himself to calm down enough to actually keep from fidgeting. His ears erect, he looked around wide eyed at his still snoozing grand mother. "Grand mother... are there to be no lessons after all?" Giving a small pout he nudged her once more.

Mahogany Sunset
For The Horde

Name: Mahogany Sunset
Soquili name: Malaka'jin (a Horde camp) if male, Denni'ka (a butcher in the aforementioned Horde camp) if female.
How many Soquili do you have now? 2 - Amitola and Calixte
Why would you like one of the troll family? I would like one of the troll family because they have a ton of story and history behind them, and I'd like to be a part of that. Plus, there are other factors controlling this foal's future besides just how it acts, and I'd like to see what I can come up with for that, RP wise.
If you had a Bokbok, what would you call it? Hmm... I don't know what that is - but maybe Sri'en? I like the sound of that ^^
Do you play WoW? No. But I've been curious about it lately.
In a short sentance give me an idea of this foal's personality: Colt: His father's boy - a guardian of the herd, protecting anything he can and to-the-death loyal. Of course, I may give into the temptation to give him the filly's personality if it's a boy... Filly: A rebel, running off every now and then to meet others outside of the herd and possibly get in a fight, alone.
Any ideas for helping the plot along? If the foal is a colt, he might not do much besides argue about protecting the herd. If it's a filly, however, she'd most likely run off to meet Zandali, who she will always have wanted to meet because Zandali had the guts to run away for a long time.
Do you like RPing? Yup ^^
If you plan on breeding at a later date will you mind having Malis be a factor? I wouldn't mind if Malis was a factor at all! Even if she ended up causing some drama, that'd be fine - drama is fun!

RP Section...

This is kind of a cross between Prompt 3 and Prompt 1 for more details on the foal... I'm going to use Denni'ka's personality for this.

Denni'ka was lying beneath a tree in the mid-day heat. She'd finally managed to lose her sibling, and was now relishing that fact - it'd give her time to think, for once. Mother and Father always had her doing things around the herd when all she wanted to do was explore and meet people outside of her family. She could never understand what the deal with "strong lines" was - wouldn't you have to mingle with others in order to have strong bloodlines?

Sighing, she rolled over. She'd been thinking a lot about that runaway girl lately... Zandali. Zandali had had the nerve to runaway for good, and though she didn't really know the reasoning behind it, Denni looked up to her. Zan - her nickname for the mare she didn't even know - had had enough guts to finally do it. Life was boring here... Denni wanted excitement. She got to her feet and looked around. She could hear her sibling stomping around in the distance, calling her. Giving another glance at her surroundings, she turned to run off behind the tree and leave in pursuit of Zandali --

And ran smack into her mother.

She sighed, looked up at Ysiel, and pulled a fake smile. Another adventure spoiled.

In a short sentence give me an idea of this foal's personality: He/she would feel protective of his/her family, and feel privileged and honored to have noble troll blood in their veins, and very caring towards all and wanting to solve everyone's problems. (healer of the mind, almost)
Any ideas for helping the plot along? (Either the main plot concerning Zandali's return or any of the others such as Rynn's or Solemn's) Not at this point, the foal's personality would have to grow before any deciding factors could arise.
Do you like RPing? Very much so, as I get bored so easily with everyday life..lol XD
If you plan on breeding at a later date will you mind having Malis be a factor? There is a good chance she may try and match-make in the future.) Considering what I put as a ruff personality, I think they would vie for their grandmother's opinion on most thing (whether they would later agree with her notions is all depending on the possible mate.) biggrin

RP Prompt

Prompt 1
Give me a short character description of the foal.

Response(portraying as Female):
Kay'lith is overly proud of her lineage and wants to keep the traditions alive within her. She has a strong urge to heal the mental wounds those she encounters have, including any hostile feelings between her own family members. She is sensitive to the emotional pain others feel and try to hide and she will go out of her way to heal those wounds, no matter the lengths she may have to take. In that sense she may feel/have a bit of a healer's soul.
Kay'lith is very helpful to all, even at a young age she strives to aid all around her in any way she could. She wants to learn about everything she can, in hopes that her extensive knowledge may lead her to help others on a greater level then before. She desires to be as close and knowledgeable about her roots as possible and loves her ever-growing family with all that she is and ever could be. She would definitely be her grand-mothers, grand-daughter. And would seek her thoughts, knowledge, and opinion on almost everything.

(If she has wings like her mother she would be shy with flying and would like more to be on the ground where her grandmother is.)

I think that's everything...I hope it's ok. heart

Azael_Rose
For The Horde

Name: Azael_Rose
Soquili name: Luk'tar ((I was extremely tired and realized I had made a mistake with the foal's name. Luk'tar is a twist on the orcish word for 'victory'))
How many Soquili do you have now? 2.5; Teepee
Why would you like one of the troll family? Firstly, it's WoW related and lately I've been finding myself more and more interested with anything WoW... Secondly I love the idea that the foal will be raised in a herd which I've been wanting to do for a while now but none of my soq's characters fit. Oh and lastly, because having a new character to develop and rp is always fun! :3
If you had a Bokbok, what would you call it? Not sure what a Bokbok is, but I'd probably name it Bokbok because I love cliches.
Do you play WoW? I'd just started a few months back then my compy died. But in a few weeks I'll be playing again...and hopefully won't be too much of a newb XD;;
In a short sentance give me an idea of this foal's personality: Luk'tar is eager to learn as much about their horde heritage. They're proud of who they are and where they come from, and that's clear to everyone.
Any ideas for helping the plot along? I can see Luk'tar becoming great friends with Zandali, and would help wherever they could at reuniting her with Malis.

As for Solemn...Luk is terrified of him and would do their best to stay out of his way - which might help in some plottings.

Not quite sure about Rynn...Luk'tar would be helpful... (It's too late for me to be up so my mind isn't really working, but I'm flexible and open to just about any plottings.)
Do you like RPing? Most definitely! And I'm a slow rper too... X3;
If you plan on breeding at a later date will you mind having Malis be a factor? No I don't mind. Luk might mind a bit but they'll end up listening to her anyways.

(For the prompt, rping as female)

Luk'tar smiled into the gentle rays of the sun as they sifted through the willow trees. The shadows played over her body. A breeze shifted through and the small foal could swear she heard the tiniest whispers. She often wished to communicate with the spirits like her grandmother, Malis did. Luk was proud of her family and their heritage, it was something that she thought of every waking moment of the day. The youngster desperately wanted to aspire to the level of her elders.

Generally she spent the day studying from whomever she could, always trying to do her best for the herd. One never had to ask help from her, for she would already have offered it. It was just the way she was. Though today was a bit different, Luk felt the need to move and venture off. Traveling through the territory, exploring the land, was her slice of alone time and she needed it this day.

Luk'tar had been so swept up in helping her family's problems that she forgot to leave a little time aside for her. It was draining but she wasn't about to change. To her it was a small price for such a large reward - helping others helped her. Besides there were her solitary trips whenever she needed. All was well for this foal, and with that she trotted off on such an adventure.

I would love to be a part of the family healing-or attempt of healing. And again any part of the troll line is awesomeness! XD

Shy after hearing of the past, but assertive in trying to help mend it, but also would be very defensive and protective for his/her mother and that side of the family.(Not necessarily aggressive, but does have a temper)

Ali'shi didn't know alot of her troll family, she knew her mother had been hurt and was nervous returning to her birth village. As they neared the main area some gathered whispering. There was one standing at the front with shinning red dreads, this must be Malis, the head of the family. Even at a distance she could feel the hate Malis had for her mother....for her. She defensively stood in front of her mother, though not even half her size. She wanted to know her troll brethren and to know acceptance, not for her but for her mother's sake.
She looked up to her mother and saw the unsettling feelings, she was scared and nervous. Ali wouldn't admit it, but so was she, but she pushed the un-easy feelings away. She wanted to see to it that the family rift would be healed, even by the slightest bit. She can deal with nonacceptance for herself, but her mother she knew needed to feel loved again by her family. Ali would do whatever it takes to heal the wounds that had been left unhealed for so long....she had to, all for her mother.

I enjoy family drama and being involved in it. And I would love to have the chance to own/play such a troubled member of the troll line. I see so many possibilities for him/her, its just amazing. With its mother being who she is and its father being mean looking Kalona, why, who could resist the family drama that creates!

For a Colt: Strong minded and quick tempered, he would ultimately be insecure about his heritage and would fight desperately to find a place in his mother's family. For a Filly: She would be curious, but detached from the troll line, spending her time learning and observing them but never wishing to be a part of them.

She knew that look. The small filly new that look and yet she had never seen it before. She would have that look memorized, forever burned into her brain. Burned into her eyes. Burned into her heart. And yet... Ju'fon did not care. Her heart did not ache. Her mind did not plan. Her eyes did not leak. She watched as this larger mare stared at her with pure distaste and simply stared back. Ju'fon had been practicing the whole way home to keep herself from crying at the first mean thing said to her. And while this mare had not spoken to her directly, yet, it was plain to see when she did it would not be kind. The trip back to this place she had learned things. From her mother's actions and words she knew this was not going to be a wonderful place they would live happily ever after like a bedtime tale. This was going to be a tough place. Something had happened, a long time ago. Something big. Something bad, she assumed. And that had terrified her at first. But she had practiced and practiced and now, as her eyes watched the blue mare and glare at her, she felt no sadness or fear. But Ju'fon was curious. Vary curious. And then her mind was made up. She bowed her head in acknowledgment and backed away from the mare, and her mother. She spoke softly. "Mother I'd like to find a place to rest." Her voice was sweet and innocent, like any foals voice. And Ju'fon turned, moving away from the hateful eyes of that mare. But she was not running. No, she would return. As she trotted to a tree some distance away, she held her head high. This was the begining. She would find out what had happened so long ago. And you could bet your tusks that she would not be rejected so easily. She stopped to lay down and turned her head to watch the distant mares.

"Great grandmother. You dislike me so. I can see it in your eyes. In your silent words. But I am here, Great grandmother. And you will not rid yourself of this one. I'm still here, and I'll be waiting."

I actually think it might be interesting to see how Tooki might react to raising his niece or nephew. Would it have to prompt him to stay around the Willowglen more, or would he take the foal with him as he wandered?

A loner, somewhat timid. Outwardly s/he comes off as gruff, due to not being accepted by the others. S/he wants to belong though, and prove herself an asset to the Willowglen.

Atal'fon looked at her great-grandmother, ears laid back and tears in her eyes. She didn't understand why? Why was she hated? He mother loved her, so did her father. Why was this mare who was in charge so angry? Did it mean she'd have to leave? Couldn't be with her family?

She scrunched up her face, determined not to cry in front of Malis. Instead she turned and walked a ways into the trees that surrounded the glen. She leaned her head against one, sniffling.

Tooki came plodding down the path. It was a long walk home, but his sister was back...so he'd heard. He was walking like someone who needed sleep, and dreaming as well. There was a little gray filly ahead, leaning against a tree. "Are...you lost?"

Atal'fon turned, shocked that someone was approaching. She tried a growl, baring her slightly sharpened teeth. "Go away! You're not allowed here!"

The stallion arched a brow, "Uhh...when did I get forbidden to come home?"

The foal drooped, losing all her ferocity. "Home? You live here? My mommy and daddy just brought me and my sibling here. She said we were coming home....but her grandmother hates us. She won't even look at me...."

"Oh...well...she does that. Best not to mind her, I don't," Tooki shrugged, walking over to the foal...who he guessed was his niece. He tilted one way, then the other. "I see nothing wrong with you. I think you're going to make a good protector here..."

"Really? How can I if no one will let me?" Atal'fon sniffled, looking back at the glen. Why'd she have to be so different from her sibling? Why couldn't she have been blue too?

"Yeah...and if you can't stay here because Grandmother is being her cranky self, then you can come stay with me. If your mother is okay with it. I travel a lot, and I could use a fierce protector," Tooki mused, watching her with a smile.

The foal beamed, forgetting the tears on her cheeks. "Oh! Can we go ask Mommy right now?"

She didn't wait for an answer, running back to Zandali's side to ask about staying with her uncle.

Because I would like to be part of any branch of the troll family. Because of this contest I've been really hooked into the troll culture, I really want to make a troll character now! You've created an amazing family and herd with unique back stories and it would be wonderful to be a part of that. :3

Durotar wants desperately to be a part of the family and have his/her mother accepted by Malis. Duro would end up doing something foolish that gets on Malis' bad side, or so he/she thinks! Durotar would then flee and hide hoping that with their self banishment that Zandali would at least be accepted. But Malis has mellowed and quickly gets over it. Once Zandali and Malis learn of what Durotar did, the two will have to come together and find the young foal. (Just an idea of course. ;3)

The small colt quivered in fear as the much larger troll soquili glared down at him. He looked to his mother for help but her eyes were locked on the one called Malis, his great grandmother. No words passed between them but Durotar remembered the snid-bits he'd caught from his mother. This was a family problem. Though he never was a part of this family, the fatc they were blood-related was enough. Duro wanted to be a part of this family. Wasn't it suppose to be this way, he would often think to himself.

Durotar was afraid to look away from Malis. He was afraid if he did, she would think him weak and unworthy of being a part of the herd. He stood his ground even while his legs quaked and threatened to collapse. His voice came out raspy and strained as he did his best to raise it just to be heard. "...Isn't ii..it enough that we... came back? Mama's taught me a lot..."

The poor young foal couldn't think of anything to impress the troll soq. Well the only thing he could remember was the game hoof-it... He scanned the ground for a rock or even a pebble. He found a small berry-sized rock and he looked up at the two adults. Durotar smiled in relief that he could show them something. "She even taught me hoof-it!"

His legs still felt like rubber but he managed to get that little pebble positioned just right in the curve of his hoof. Duro kicked with all his might, aiming for between his mother Zandali and Malis. The pebble went skywards and bounced right off of his great grandmother's forehead. His face paled in horrow at what he had just done. Before Malis could speak or move, Durotar turned off behind him and ran. He ran until he was at the edge of the WillowGlen's territory.

The colt knelt and hid in some thicket, unsure of his next move. "I am such a screw-up..." he whispered to himself.

It looks like there will be some interesting personalities to interact with.

He/She is soft-spoken and rarely speaks up for themselves, but when it comes to his/her mother, he/she will be very protective.

Tairus had mixed feelings about going back to her mother's home. She loved the traveling. There had been so many interesting things to see. Some places had been so fascinating she'd wished they'd been able to stay, instead of moving on. Tairus knew that this trip home was important to her mother so she hadn't complained when they'd had to leave places she would rather have stayed in.

The young filly was aware of the rift between her mother and grandmother. She hoped that this trip home was going to be all that her mother was hoping for. Tairus knew her mother was soft-natured and from what she'd heard about her grandmother's disposition, she was worried for her mother. The young filly was a bit like her mother in her soft-spoken nature. Tairus rarely spoke up for herself, but when it came to her mother, she was fiercely protective. As much as a spindly-legged filly could be fierce anyway.

She didn't look forward at all to meeting her grandmother. Tairus had no problems admitting to herself that she was scared to meet this Malis she'd heard so much about. But.. she wasn't going to let her grandmother see that. Even if her grandmother did have teeth big enough to eat her, Tairus would stand her ground beside her mother. If her mother could do it. So could she.

1. It's so dang beautiful (that's not a very good reason, but it's one nonetheless), 2. I'd love to be part of the plots involved. I'm a plotter by nature, and love causing drama for my characters, and 3. It'll be part of a huge family, and families are hugely important to me. I know from experience that not-so-close families are not so fun, but the Horde family is extremely close. I'll say it again - I'd love to be a part of that.

Female: Really unsure about herself and her place in everything - hugely insecure and nervous. This will eventually lead to a restlessness that may lead her to leave the family for a while and follow her mother's footsteps back to the Darkspear Tribe. Male: Basically the same thing, but he hides it by putting on airs of arrogance and masculinity.

Zansoa stalked quietly by his mother's side. Strong and silent, everything will be okay... he thought to himself, snorting a little bit. According to Mother, they were heading "home." Zan didn't understand this - home was the road. He flicked his ears around, trying to pick up on everybody's hoofsteps around him, but the group's steps just blended together.

The next day, they reached the village. Zansoa couldn't help but notice his great grandmother's reaction to his presence - it was almost horrible, the way she looked at him. He lowered his head, repeating his mantra in the corner. Strong and silent, it'll all be okay... Strong and silent, everything will be okay... But even with that in mind, he couldn't help but be hurt and a little hateful toward Malis. Mother had come back home to please her, and all Malis could do was look at him like he was some grotesque creature from the mountains.

That was it. He was done. Mother was too good to be treated that way. Zan would confront Malis tomorrow.

Maybe. If he could build up enough haughtiness overnight.

I think it would be great to be apart of such an important part of this reunion between granddaughter and grandmother.

I would say spirited

Home' is where mother said they'd be returning. Some how the little foal already knew this would be a rocky start for herself and her mother. Still Jezemalu was all too curious about the family she knew so little about. Would she be accepted? Certainly not, her mother seemed to make it an avid point to her not to go thinking she'd be accepted so openly with glee. Sure enough her mother had been right. Her great grandmother had looked upon her with so much disdain she felt at once like some mongrel pup amongst purebreds. She had the nagging feeling that if she didn't stay close to her own mother she'd be cast into a lake and drowned.

Still, as she looked upon Malis, she couldn't help but to admire her for the wisdom an older mare would have. She yearned to ask her questions and become close to her. But just as she admired Malis she couldn't help but to feel a slight anger towards her and the fire in her belly to prove Malis wrong of what ever misconceptions she had of herself and her mother. Yes, someday her great grandmother would appreciate her but till that day came, she'd watch herself.

Quote:
It's not only two of my favourite family lines coming together, but the plotting and RP that will come with this intrigues me. I've never really gotten to be part of the Malis/Tai/Zandali drama, as my two were born while Tai and Zandali were gone and it has always been the plot I've found the most fun within the little family since it can go so many places.

Volatile, vengeful, sarcastic. Thrall will want to do good by her/his mother, but being so hurt and angry by Malis' unfair and split-second distaste won't know how to handle the emotions caused by everything in a helpful way. Thrall won't understand the difference in the kalona and troll blood coursing through his/her veins, and will thus expect all of his mother's family to be meat eaters in some way. (S)he'll need guidance and will go to Rynn for help understanding the life that Thrall has been born into, as she seems the most reasonable and would hopefully fill the place Malis has left gaping in his/her heart.
Eventually, I would love Thrall to eventually learn to be a warrior so that they may better protect Rynn and possibly cause a stir with Solemn in doing so?

This was NOT her fault. None of this was her doing, and as far as she could tell none of it was Mother's either. Glaring under hooded eyes at Malis, her "great grandmother" she coudn't see a damn thing that was so great about her. The old mare was judgemental, mean, and so set in her ways that she hadn't even afforded the foals a means to which appeal to her more maternal instincts. She'd just written them off as "Zandali's children" and that was that. All she wrote, folks.

Thrall hated Malis.

She didn't even look like the old troll's precious family. How dare she judge her like she did them? Who gave her that right? Thrall huffed as Malis' ranted in the speech pattern that Thrall had learned was associated with the Darkspear Village she had been conceived in. That her mother and father had trained in? The silver foal held her tongue(barely) and idly wondered what their Southern kin would think of Malis belittling children born to warriors and trainees of their village? Thrall sneered and liked to imagine it ended in some form of bloodshed.

Catching a look from her Father, the filly looked at her own hooves and his and sighed. He'd never let her speak her mind on the subject. That was his job. She wouldn't have known what to say anway, but that didn't stop the rage and hurt from bubbling away within her heart. Why couldn't Malis have sucked it up and welcomed them home with an open heart? Why did she have to bring such sadness into a situation that could have been so good? Even a filly born in the wilderness could see that this was a time for celebration and forgiveness ... Why couldn't someone that was supposed to be so wise and knowing?

Thrall wanted comforting. She wanted affection from the only source that would never give it to her. She hated her.

Hearing a small voice speak the same questions and concerns that were boiling away inside the filly, Thrall looked up to the delicate fluttergeni standing next to Malis. She looked as confused and upset as Thrall felt, but some how calmer. Like she knew deep in her heart that all would work out. The filly wanted that kind of reassurance and knowledge. She wished she was brave enough to do something about it.

Stepping closer to her mother, Thrall drew back her shoulders and looked the pale mare in the eyes. With a genuine smile, one she hadn't had in days before coming home, she willed with all of her heart that Rynn was right.

Things could be better, and if they didn't get better soon than by the Spirits Thrall was going to make it work.

Because I love how intricate the family is and enjoy rping within a family dynamic, as well as for the plot involvement. She/He would be right in the center of the herd and I'd like to see how she/he'd cope with all the drama.

Both Female & Male: Fierce. He/She isn't aggressive like his/her father but has channeled that energy into being dominantly protective. He/She believes it's his/her duty to protect his/her mother and sibling from anything that means harm, mentally or physically. Even Malis.
- Jyrgal doesn't know what to do about Solemn so he/she generally keeps an eye on him when he's around. Little does he/she know that Solemn is slowly winning his/her affections. Before you know it, Jyrgal trusts Solemn more than any of his extended relatives (Sen'jin included). What chaos will Solemn create once he learns that he can manipulate Jyrgal's protective nature?
- Jyrgal sees Rynn as weak so he/she decides to protect her, slowly coaxing her into new places and getting her to open up a bit. The male Jyrgal falls in love with her after spending so much time together and always tries to keep her attention on him instead of Jiruni...The female Jyrgal on the other hand, becomes a quick friend who is always eager to give advice and help Rynn as much as possible.

Since these two are generally the same personality-wise I'll rp using the male version.

Jyrgal could feel the heat of the trollish mare’s glare. He could tell right away that it was his great grandmother Malis, just by the look of loathing she was sending his way. This was the one who despised his mother, the one who chased her away from everything she held dear. Although he hadn’t actually asked his mom about it, for fear of making her sad, he had gleaned enough from what his dad let slip. And all of it told Jyrgal one thing. This was the enemy.

She's after mom...I need to save her!

At the thought, Jyrgal quickly edged around his mother, placing himself front and center. If this Malis had a problem with him, then it was better for him to be out in easy reach, he didn’t want him mom to come to any harm if the large mare attacked. Plus, he’d rather face her head on. He was afraid, just a bit, but he would never, ever, back down. Not with those he held dear so close to danger.

So he held his position. He made no attempt to speak and glared right back at his great-grandmother. He would not back down.

But he couldn’t help but sigh in relief when his father Súile came forward. Everything was going to be fine. His father was here and everything would be alright. Or so he hoped.

Because of their fame, they are super cool, I like WoW and I think it would be a good way to become a more active member of Soquili

Otembe is arrogant and stubborn and doesn’t care what anyone else thinks about her.

Malis hates you, from the instant she sees you she will be filled with a distaste as you are the child of the one who caused her so much grief. How do you handle this? While Zandali may not have told you what happened, what she over heard during Tai and Malis' fight you have picked up that this journey home is something important. Describe your reactions/thoughts/feelings.
Otembe would not care what Malis thought of her, even if her mother does. She would probably be insolent towards Malis, but probably only subtly. What’s the point of looking for someone’s respect if they don’t even like you? The journey to the tribe is something of a curiosity to the foal. She doesn’t quite understand why it matters so much; she thought they were perfectly fine without a tribe. However she wonders what the tribe life is like and wants to meet others. She is happy to go along to learn and see more of the world. She is not so concerned with fitting in as her mother seems to be, but she is up for a challenge…which seems to think this will be. On the journey she tries to get as much information out of her parents as possible, even pretending to be asleep so she can hear them talk.

Quote:
Because my herds family branches or interaction is limited, may breed with my soquili or take my soquili's children and flee without any RP.
My first soquili especially has this problem and to be honest it sucks, and i'd like one soquili with a good mapped out family that they can interact with.

This foal no matter it's turn out would be one to stand by it's parents and family if looked after well and accepted (yeh it seems this affair isn't accepted, so weather or not it's accepted or not this could be a plot to fight for acceptance), but it'd not take so kindly to others, it'd merely mask it's shyness with rudeness, scowls and mocking words unless impressed.

It'd be like two different people depending on who hey were around (not like the typical split personality) in a sense that with loved ones it'd show love and remorse, but around stranger the foal would be guarded but still willing to play. Just as well because there could be meat eating predators out there.

But with time, we shall have to see what crowd they fall into or stick with and how their mood changes, or not.
Zul'Samedi would feel no caution to it's parents nor try and doubt their decisions, I don't think the foal would understand the commotion, nor do I doubt that the mother wouldn't try to shiel and protect her children from it, but this foal can be out spoke and thinks it's grown up at times and would try to talk to Great Grandma Malis. Which could be quite humorous but wouldn't help much at all.

The foolish and naïve foal (as far as foals go) would ask it's mum why it's great granny hated it. But if she made excuses it would make it's own way to Malis and ask her, not quite understanding itself but it would say to her,"if you are so wise you should know that a foal cannot choose it's parents and a foal may grow up to be in any mindset the world throws at it. Great Grandma, I loved you, but it hurts to think that you've hated m since birth even though I have done nothing wrong. Give me a chance and I can prove that I am worth a place in this family."

Quote:
Look at that DRAMA. 8'D I normally create my own drama for plots, so its a nice change to be born into it! Its also more meaningful to fight for a place in the herd, in a way.

Quiet, soft spoken and pessimistic, Taz is a result of the "conflict" between his/her mother and great-grandmother. Although she was once a normal, curious child, seeing his/her parents fight for the family's place in his/her great-grandmother's herd had caused her to be withdrawn, thinking that he/she must not be as good as everyone else due to her background. To make matters worse, his/her pessimism cause him/her to brush away every compliment, encouragement, praise and thought he/she receives from others. As he/she feels that he/she is not worthy enough to live, he/she often shy away from strangers, believing himself/herself to not be good enough to be their friend. To anyone who is persistent and patient enough, however, Taz is a good listener and a friend who is willing to stand by your side (while berating himself/herself, of course) for she possesses a soft heart.

This will change in the future with enough RP though... She'll still be soft-spoken and shy (and a little socially awkward due to her past) but at least she'll love herself. (: I'm thinking of making her a shaman/healer on her journey to discover her self worth.

Those red eyes that looked at her this morning... They weren't soft and kind like mother's. In fact, they almost seem to dislike her, but how can that be? This is the first time they met, so what had Taz done to cause her to look at her with those eyes? The filly shifted uneasily at the thought, unable to get into a comfy enough position to sleep; although she was asked to leave with her sibling while her parents talked to the one they said was her great-grandmother, she already had a feeling that this trip home was highly important, long before they even reached the herd.

Why does great-grandmother dislike her so? If they are family, she should love her like mother and father do, right? Taz frowned as she tried to make sense of it; perhaps she wasn't pretty enough? Smart enough? Tall enough? Whatever it was, it did not please Malis... As much as she tried, Taz could not get the image of how Malis was looking at her out of her head. It was engraved in her mind, and every time she closed her eyes and tried to sleep, Malis would be there, the troll's red eyes filled with such distaste as she looked at her... Maybe she just wasn't good enough in her great-grandmother's eyes? Was she causing her family their place in the herd, in the Horde?

The thought scared her, and she shivered, squeezing her eyes tight as tears pooled in them. There are so many questions in her head, but she was too afraid to voice them out! She sniffled as softly as she could, not wanting to wake her sibling up as she wiped her tears away on her limb, forcing herself to smile in an attempt to make herself feel better.

Maybe those questions will get answered in time to come...

I think she or he would thrive in our little family playing and adventureing with Blake. Becoming world wise and nimble boddied. Then learning from thesh-ahs wise words and sleeping easy under her protective gaze.

Well I would have to say I'm big into devloping soq not just haveing them start as one thing or another. Life is an amazing sculpter infact better than I could ever be. So I would have to see and rp a bit in my head before I can really answer this well. However I know thra with Blake and thesh-ah looking after him or her he or she will be quite diverse and blanaced with strong oppions and a quick tounge.

Sun filtered down through the thick glossy green canopy and danced across her mothers shiny blue coat and the forests leaf littered path. It was warm with a light gentle breeze. She wished life was like the storys Blake told at night to calm her and guide her to sleeps warm embrace. dark days to dark nights at least then you knew what was comeing. Wether the tale was tragic or gleeful. Unfortunetly in real life she knew the situation was far from as bright and sunny as the day would lead her to belive. her mothers nervous Steps held testimant to that. right about then is when she wished she wouldent have learned how to listen to the sounds of others instead of the words. Then maybe she would have clung to the strength in her mothers words rather than the miss on her steps.
"Actions speak far louder than words." Blake offten preached. It sucked that she was right so offten sometimes.
Fon a she was offten called for short gave her head a gentle shake to clear the bad from her mind.
it won't be so bad perhaps. She thought we are family after all I mean you kinda have I love your family at least a little no matter what right?
Despite her thougts she still wished to hear thesh-ah s plodding steps and blakes jangleing bells right behind her to reasure her.
* time skip to the meeting.*
Fon looked up wide eyed from behind her mothers flanks. That was her grandmother? That couldent be right it just couldent be. Though the resmblancr between that glareing soq and her mother was hard to deny. There was no love in that glare just hate. Aren't familys supposed to love one another no matter what. That's what she had been taught. Why then was she met with this.
Why? She thought why did we come?

Well, i just think that she will become a powerful soldier. And, in all the game that ive played, i always do the good guy. I just want to ty something different! *grins*

Well, she might rub a bit off her father, so, aggressive, bad-tempered, but still has a bit of loyalty from her mother. She also gives a great argument. She hates to see anyone that she holds dearly to be hurt. If she never met someone and s/he has a reputation, she will be overjoyed to meet them.

I was so happy to finally meet my grandmother! I was anticipating this day since _insert time of travel here_ of traveling! I heard that she was fierce, wise, and fun loving. My mom spoke of her quite well, but as we went closer to the herd, the more and more she spoke, till she went silent. I didn't really care why, because I was to happy. When i saw that we were close, I was so excited that i went running. Mom didn't want me too go right away, but i didn't care. I ran head first into the area and stopped. It was quiet, too quiet. I waited a while, before my mom came. She guided us to the place were Malis lived. Again, i dived head first and bumped into someone. When i looked up, i saw a mare who seemed to match the description of Malis. " Granny! " I shouted before hugging her. She seemed to dislike me, a lot! Malis snorted and kicked me off her leg. I din't know why she did that. She glared at me, while calling me stuff. I stood up, angry. " Look, Malis. I am your great-grand daughter, and i have waited so long to meet you, and i get treated this way! I REALLY wanted us to be friends, but it seems that will be unlikely! " She stared at me, then turned and walked away.
