Ka glanced up at the clock and sighed softly. He had to go to work in a few minutes and Far wasn't back yet. Ka supposed he could ask Ari to watch Rhiloss but still... Just then, his phone rang and Ka flipped the thing open - only to find out that Far had been shanghaied into working a later shift tonight. Something having to do with inventory. Wooonderful. Good thing that Ari (apparently) didn't have any plans for tonight. Hanging up the phone, Ka padded over to Ari's room. "Ari?" he called.
Sprawled on the bed in jeans, a black wifebeater and nothing more, Arius stashed his magazines under the mattress when he heard Ka coming and rolled over onto his back as though he'd been doing nothing more but staring at the ceiling thoughtfully. "Yeah? Y'can come in..." Honestly, Ka'hmesh was pretty cool, and there really wasn't anyone else Ari'd rather have sleeping with his Ada...even if they did make a lot of noise on some nights. Really, his life wasn't so bad, if a bit exciting, but that was exactly how he liked it...with a typical bit of mischief abd mayhem thrown in. As long as it didn't upset Farlest, it was all good...and what they didn't know couldn't hurt them.
"Hey... Far just called, and said that he has to work late tonight. Would you mind just... keeping an eye on Rhiloss til he gets back?"
Almost as if mention of his name had summoned him, the white-haired child wandered into the room - ducking right past Ka to heave himself up onto Ari's bed. And there he sat, staring at his older 'sibling' in a most disconcerting fashion.
Arius sighed heavily, almost able to predict this sort of request, and waved a hand almost dismissively. "Yeah sure...you working too?" He inquired, glancing over at his 'brother', though he really didn't think of the other as such, more like someone he lived with, not a blood relative.
Sorry, but the kid just didn't act like one, and though he was growing up, he was still a bit of an oddball. Honestly, Ari kinda liked him. Smiling at the other, he reached over and ruffled Rhiloss' hair. "Hey kid..." Yeah, he was still kid, no matter how tall he got, Ari was older.
Rhiloss made a little growling noise then, and snapped teeth at the other's hand. But with Ari, it was almost... playful. Though it was hard to really -tell- at any one time what Rhiloss was thinking.
Ka sighed softly. "Rhiloss, please don't bite your brother. And yes... I was about to leave soon," he answered Ari. "Sorry this happens so much..."
It brought a grin to Ari's face...because honestly he never worried about Rhiloss. The other was peculiar, all right, but honestly the Mad Love scent didn't mind it at all. It certainly made public encounters more interesting. "Sounds like fun to me..." Winking at Rhiloss, as that was more directed to his 'sibling'.
"It's fine..." He replied to Ka, "And don't you like your job?" tilting his head, he eyed the other curiously. Honestly he would love to work at a club, as he couldn't imagine that it would be boring. Even Far had mentioned once that he'd worked at one, though he hadn't said what his job was at the time.
Ka offered the other a bit of a smile at that. "I do ... but there are nights that get a bit too interesting for my tastes." He shook his head slightly. "Like when people get too ... overfamiliar with the uhm. Entertainment."
Rhiloss tilted head at Ari and then got onto his hands and knees and crawled about on the bed - sticking hands down under the covers. He knew very well that his older brother kept things in here that their 'parents' would probably not approve of. Maybe he could find something!
His eyes sort of lit up then, and he leaned closer to the corner of the bed, rolling over and propping his chin in one hand. "I'm sure that happens, working with a bouncer and all...and I know what strippers are, Ka...y'don't have to treat me like I'm ten." Hell, if only Ka knew the sort of things he'd already been into. "And Far worked at a club once too, right?" Yes, let's pretend like you know more than you do, Ari.
Reaching, he plucked at the bedcovers, eyeing Rhiloss as he disappeared beneath the bed. Well hopefully he wouldn't come out with anything funny... at least not until Ka had vacated the room. Dirty magazines, certain uhm...toys and other odds and ends were things that Rhiloss just so didn't need to know the details of.
Ka counted himself lucky that he didn't flush nearly as easily as Farlest did at this particular moment. It was somewhat difficult to think of Ari as ... knowing about those kinds of things - since Ka had known the other since he was small, like Rhiloss. "Yes, he did ..." he answered that question simply. "Though I think he likes his current job a bit better than what he was doing there." No, he wasn't about to tell Ari that -Far- used to strip. If Ari really wanted to know, he could ask Far himself.
Rooting around under there, Rhiloss managed to come up with one of those so-called 'toys' Ari had been thinking about. And though he was still a child ... technically ... he knew very well what at least -some- of these things were for. At the moment, though, he wasn't truly trying to get Ari in trouble. Just startle him. So he crept out from beneat the bed on the opposite side from where Ka was... and poked Ari in the back with that toy.
He grinned, however, able to figure it out for himself just by the way Ka was being juuust a little dodgy. After all, he could see his Ada as being quite the sexy bit of a dancer. Hell, that actually would probably be kinda fun, minus some of the unwanted attention...he could do that. Shame Far hadn't found it fun. "I'm sure..."
Freezing, as his sibling jabbed him in the back, he glanced over at the other and scowled slightly. Oh that little brat....why did he always have to be like that about it, hmm? Sometimes he was pretty cool, but there were just times when Ari wanted to smack him for some of the dumbest tripe. "Butyeah, I've no problem keeping an eye on Rhiloss here..." A very close eye after this little stunt.
Rhiloss grinned back at the other and wiggled that toy around before dropping it back over the side of the bed. Then he shifted to practically drape himself over his brother, sticking tongue out at Ka just for the hell of it.
"Mmn... yes, I can see how much fun you're having already," Ka teased lightly. Then he glanced down at his phone and winced slightly. "Whoops... I'll be late if I don't leave pretty fast. Thank you again, Ari."
That kid was smarter than he acted, which worried Ari on a regular basis, he was definitely going to have to work to ensure that his little brother was on his side, which shouldn't be too hard really, as Ari had all the time in the world to convince him. "Yup. Loads..." He murmured, "Take care at work, Ka..."
Patting his brother almost like he would a kitten, he sighed heavily. Oh yes, this was going to be very interesting indeed. "So, Rhil...whatcha wanna do tonight, hmm?" Though the other didn't talk much, somehow he always found a way to make himself understood...sometimes it honestly made Arius laugh...people just didn't get Rhiloss, and in his opinion that was their loss.
Rhiloss tilted his head slightly at that and watched as Ka walked out of the room with a wave. "I dunno," he answered promptly, ducking his head a bit. "We could sneak out~" he suggested then, with a positively evil little smirk. He knew that it wasn't -likely-, but hey. He could try, right? "There's a new moooovie out~"
"Well..." Ari stretched casually, "I'm sort of in charge, so it wouldn't be sneaking out exactly..." And though that movie might not be entirely appropriate for someone of Rhil's age, well...Ari had seen such stuff when he was that big and he hadn't turned out any worse for wear. So why not? He certainly didn't see any downsides to the situation. "But if we go, you totally owe me one..."
Rhiloss jumped off the bed at that, and offered the other a little bow - almost formal. "Of course~" he replied happily. Ari was ... one of the few that he was juuust a bit less random around - because being random didn't -bother- the other. So it wasn't as much fun to try it with his brother.
"A'right..." He slid up then, moving to rummage in the dresser for a shirt. "Deal then." Slipping it on, he offered his hand for his brother to shake..after all that gave it some veneer of officiality. The other had just better not run off on him or he was going to absolutely kick the other's a**...whether or not Ka got onto him later about it. But then again, Rhiloss had already expended his 'stupid things to do to Arius' for a few hours, so they were probably safe. Probably.
