I've been searching online but have found a lot of conflicting facts so I thought I might get a straight answer here.
Saturday night my boyfriend and I had sex with a condom. We didn't know until about an hour later that the condoms were expired, since he happened to be searching in the drawer for something. So we threw out the remaining ones and got a new box.
What exactly is the risk of expired condoms? It didn't feel or work any differently, and I'm on the Pill so I have a backup if it didn't work for some reason. He didn't ejaculate so I wouldn't know if it worked efficiently in collecting it.

I believe kotic is right - if they're expired, I would think they would have a higher risk of breaking, and not giving you adequate STI protection.
