Meykal trotted around the lake, a little twitchy from being bored. He wasn't used to being bored; there was usually someone to spend time with, a friend or a mare he could flirt with.
As if appearing from his thoughts, he spotted a mare not far away. She was quite pretty, with a black coat and contrasting white mane and tail. Very eye catching. And she did indeed catch the interest of this golden eyed cocky flirt.
Slowing his trot a little, he smiled as he made his way to her. "Afternoon, my lady," he said smoothly. Good manners always made things easier, even if they only ended as friends.

 Shadena raised her head from the grass, and stared, rather shocked, at the stallion who had come forward to greet her. His markings were rather odd, swirls, and the color of bronze. "Hello." She murmured back in response. She had very little experience with the opposite gender, and found herself feeling rather flustered at the prospect of conversation. Though...she knew it wound very awkward for her, as the stallion seemed more...skilled. She tilted her head to the side, and smiled slightly, "What brings you here, sir?" She questioned, the smile not leaving her mouth.

 Senshi's short tail flipped at the flies gathering on his flank. The flies scattered in fear of the flapping strands of hair. His oddly colorful ears flipped up and forward at the sound of conversation close by. He was grazing at the soft grass close to the lake. The tender stalks bursting into flavor in his mouth. His ear twitched again at the sound of voices intruding on his eating time. His head slowly raised to a strange sight. Two other Soquili were talking close by. A Bronze Stallion and a Black Mare. His calculating red eyes stared at the Mare for a while. She seemed uncomfortable. Though that was judging by body language. He snorted lightly and rolled his eyes. Time to save a sweet Mare in distress. With one last flap on his tail at the flies he started walking to the couple. With a flip of his short mane he asked, "Is everything alright Madam..?" The smooth talker Senshi was and the slight grin on his face. He was handsome. Though he tried not to flaunt it. He pointedly ignored the Bronze Stallion who was making the lovely Mare uncomfortable.

Shadena turned her head toward the newest stallion. She flicked her ears and nodded lightly. "I am very alright." She said in a sweet voice. Two stallions, in one place. Hmm. From what she knew, most stallions were lone creatures. Though...she didn't know very much of the opposite gender.
She turned her head to and fro between the two of them, and with a smile said to them, "May I ask your names, kind sirs?" She flicked her tail with a soft whicker and stared back at them with yellow eyes.

Meykal smiled easily, trying to make her less uncomfortable. He knew he could be a little rash, and sometimes he just couldn't keep himself from saying exactly what was on his mind. "I was just taking a stroll around the lake when I saw you. You looked like you needed some company," he said, still flirting, but reining in his enthusiasm just a bit.
A bit of bright orange caught his eye and distracted him for about a second. He dismissed the other stallion just as quickly as he'd noticed him and kept his attention on the mare. At least until he'd come barging in. Meykal frowned at him, but even he knew better than to answer for a mare. So he thought for a second before rephrasing his comment. "I thought we were getting along quite nicely," he said, a little testily. He didn't like it when other stallions interrupted him with a mare. It was just rude in his opinion. "I'm Meykal," he said and bowed very regally to her, "pleased to meet you, my lady."

Senshi watched the lovely Mare. She was absolutely ravishing. Her sleek black fur, the beautiful white hair. He snorted slightly. The ladies man Senshi was finally stunned. His ears flicked but stayed forward in curiosity.
"My name is Senshi madam. Might I ask yours..?" He was still slightly dumbstruck and it showed on his face. His mouth was slightly agape.
That was when the other Stallion voiced himself with a annoyance hinting in the sound. "Do not worry Lover boy. I do not intend to steal your newest conquest. I am just looking for a little conversation with a few nice people." With the word nice there was a slight hiss to his voice. He was getting just as nasty.

Meykal snorted at the dumbstruck look on the other stallion's face. What an amateur. He rolled his golden eyes. He could play that game too. His long tail flicked back and forth, brushing up a small dust storm behind his legs.
"The term 'conquest' assumes I had something less than honorable in mind for this exquisite lady before us. You would do well to not speak ill about those you know nothing about," he spoke calmly this time, though his shifting hooves on the ground belied his annoyance. "Nice people would know that," he muttered.

Senshi looked over to the annoyed Stallion. It was good that he was annoyed. It made him look dumb to the Mare. Senshi snorted and rolled his eyes. "Kindly do not argue with me in front of the lady. If anything is rude. Then that is it." He stared for a moment at the Stallion. "Oh please... You are one of those males that oozes dishonor." They were starting to get testy with each other. This might end in a fight. He knew. Though he could not tell how it would end.

Shadena smiled lightly, taking a slight step back as both stallions seem to stare each other down. This was not what she had expected. Though she knew males were likely to have a rivalry of sorts, she had never witnessed it.
"Is everything alright? I don't want to cause trouble." She said, laughing quietly. In the back of her mind, she felt the need to step back, move away, for there was a good reason they may be acting hostile. Her.

Senshi immediately regretted his actions. He turned to the retreated Mare and said quietly, "Please Madam. Do not go. Pray I did not mean to frighten you." He put on his best smile and his ears, if possible, came more forward than before. He was trying to be kindly. He bowed to her low and then after a few moments allowed his eyes to meet hers.

Meykal wanted to growl at Senshi, but he wouldn't. He restrained himself very well, he thought. "I beg your pardon, you don't know me well enough to make assumptions about my character. In fact you don't know me at all," he said, attempting to keep his temper in check. As badly as he wanted to fight this stallion, he would keep that as a last resort option. Fighting males always tended to run the females off. Unless the female liked that sort of thing. From what he could see of this particular mare, though, she wasn't the kind to enjoy that type of thing.
At her words and quiet laugh, Meykal turned to look at her, the picture of contrition. "Please forgive me. I should have better manners than to argue in front of a lady," he said and hung his head in 'shame.'

Senshi snorted as the Bronze Stallion tried to act shameful. He was a terrible actor and hoped the poor Mare saw right through him. In an attempt to be more appealing he said, "Dear lovely. I am terribly sorry but we never received the gift of your name. Would you still be willing to tell us..?" He put on his best face of interest. This Mare intrigued him and he wished to know more about her.
