Ok, currently I'm playing FF8. I find that game really hard. You basically rely on your summons and magic, which I'm not used to where as in FF7, I didn't have to rely on them the same way. I'm just wondering if you guys have any tips because from what I'm getting from this, it's going to be a long and hard journey.
PS, I have made it all the way to the 4th disc, but Adel was too hard for me, so I started over. Now I want tips for my new game.
thanks!

I never actually used most of my summons, at least not until much later. Because of this I always learned their like HP-Junction and Magic+20% abilities first, along with their abilities like Mug and Kamikaze. Their abilities for refining should always be unlocked right away also, so you can make your own powerful magic to junction.
Character-wise, they're all good in their own way. Try looking up some guides though, especially for finding Weapons Monthly so you can upgrade your gear. For the most part I just attack in FF8 with 2 characters, and my 3rd is more magically geared and suited for healing, buffing, and attack magic and attacking inbetween.
If you have any specific questions, feel free to ask. Final Fantasy 8 is definately a favorite of mine and one I just recently played again.

Oh snap. FF8 is my gameeee. Let me know if you need any help with it cause I could tell you anything about the game like the back of my hand. I've replayed it several times. Basically the most efficient way to go through the game is to NOT LEVEL UP. To make the game suuuuuuper easy its kinda simple get one character to about level 40 and keeping the rest as low as possible. For me I had Quitis and Squall my highest around the 40's I think, but Squall was noticeably higher. The 40's are around the time the -aga spells pop up and since the monsters level up with you, try all you can to not level any further. Always set your parties: Highest, low, lower. The monsters level is the average. So if the -Aga spells don't show up when they should be Petrifying or killing your lowest member temporarily works, I think. :3 Have one or two characters you neeeever touch. Keep them at starting level for those hard bosses, etc.
But to make this whole not leveling process easy, get Tonberry. His LV UP/LV DOWN skills can let you level up a monster to 99, draw all the high level magics from it then level it down to level 1 so that you only get like 20exp but still the same about of AP. This is key. It basically makes it possible to not even level at all and have those high level magics that make your stats crazy high.
Set your options to "Memory" and all you have to do is hold the X button to draw until 100. It might feel like a long time but really its like 10ish minutes to fully draw. You can improve your draw rate, I think to 9 each time, by getting your spirit to as high as possible. Uuuuh, yeah max out at the Cactuar Islands annnd get all the player/GF cards, especially Laguna for the 100 heroes.

Adel will probably die a lot faster the lower your levels. I think by Adel you can already have all the GFs and such so max out on GF skills and go to the hell/heaven islands to stock up on ultimas etc. Just make sure you delevel all the monsters you fight, they start at 99. For the fight itself I think you hurt Rinoa if you use GFs so just attack. If you're doing it squall should hit 9,999 and your other characters close to it.
