Since this is a writing lab I figure this would be the proper venue to do this. We did it when I was with the Great Falls Writers Guild which was part of the Montana Institue of the Arts. At the end of each monthly meeting we'd be given a random sentence. Everyone would take it home and write a short story using the sentence as it's opening line. Then we would all read our stories and the person who had the best story by general consenus made up the next sentence. It stretches your writing muscles and the stories can go in every direction imagninable. If you like writing it can be lots of fun. As well as heplful in getting critiques. I always enjoyed it and I hope you do too, have fun, and here's the first sentence.
The door opened and the girl with hair like aubrun flame walked in, she sat down at the desk and opened the drawer.
